Lookswell Painting and Handyman Services

They did a fabulous job. We've used Lookswell for years. They provide consistently excellent work. I can't imagine using any other company. I first found out about Lookswell from a friend who found them on Angie's List. I was so impressed with Lookswell"s work, I decided to become a member of Angie's List myself.

Everyone was very professional. They arrived on time each day. They were polite, very neat and very good at their jobs. I was kept informed on their progress at all times and the job was completed on time. The house looks wonderful.

It was a fantastic job. I had selected another bid, the painter was using a spray can of Kilz to spray the base coat. I fired him on the spot. I called Lookswell, because of a cancellation they were able to come in at 8am and finish around 4. They are exceptionally neat and their painting is excellent. I own this apartment building and have had to paint these old plaster walls for over 18 years. I have used numerous contractors. Lookswell was one of the best that has worked on my building. I don't think I could recommend them more highly. I would use them again in a flash. Well worth the cost if you want the job done right.

We had previously used Lookswell for interior paining, and we decided to ask if they do decks. They quickly responded that they do. Lookswell's estimate was higher than I had seen from another contractor, but that other contractor had responsiveness and other issues when we tried to use them last year and we ultimately decided not to hire them, which left the job open for this year. We were quickly scheduled for power washing and we scheduled the sanding for a day when we thought it might dry out. When it kept raining, we pushed it a few days more, and a few more until we had three days where it was going to be nice and not rain. The guys came out and did an amazing job sanding the first day and staining the next two. I cannot emphasize enough the quality work that these professionals do. They stained every inch that could possibly be seen (which isn't easy with our deck, which buts against our garage) and always keep perfect edges, absolutely no sloppiness. They don't require you to lift a finger... they move all furniture off of the deck to do the work and back onto the deck just as it was when they're done. They are my favorite contractor and I'm happy to pay them a little more than other contractor would charge because I think it's a fair price for the great work that they do.

Frank was very nice and professional. He did a walkthrough, inspecting each room to get a sense of how much paint, how many hours, etc. The estimate just turned out to be on the high end of the ones we solicited, so we ended up going with someone else.

He did a fantastic job. I had two full wall murals that I wanted to have hung. One in a bathroom and the other on a wall that had two curves and several cut outs. Not an easy hang. He was efficient and I can't believe how good the murals look. He even covered my light socket cover to match! He cleaned up everything nicely and was very professional. Worth the money!

Painter was polite, professional and fast. I felt that the price was on the high side, but because of all the trim, I felt it was worth it.

I think that was pretty good and easy. It was for painting my upstairs. It seemed a little high to me. They did give me a date when they would come. I think they were on time. They were professional. I still haven't gotten the job done but I'm going to take bids again and then see what happens.

They were priced reasonably, and they were professional and they were great. That was a great opinion, and they were great. They were very prompt, and quick. They got everything done quickly, and high quality and they answered all my questions before they did the work. I was very comfortable knowing what they were doing. The pricing was all upfront, there were no surprises. They were right where they should be with the prices.

Jim was fantastic start to finish. We purchased a foreclosed home that was covered in crayon, dirt and really unfortunate color choices. Jim went through the entire house and provided a quote, pretty standard right? Except during his walk through to quote out the paint he also gave me good ideas on improvements to the house. He checked pipes for possible leaks, checked our furnace to see if it was in good condition and gave me some great recommendations on saving some money on improvements. As we added and subtracted items from his quote he was very fast in amending the quotes. His guys showed up early and were fantastic. They worked really fast and did an amazing job. Overall just great people to deal with.

Lookswell not only was prompt in returning my call and setting up an appointment, they didn't seem to mind at all that this job was relatively small and they were only finishing a job not fully completed. They also went and matched the exterior color as I had no idea what color the original owners started with.

Responded quickly to initial contact, and came when it worked for us to provide an estimate. Always on time and as promised. Provided a competitive quote and after some consideration we decided to go with them. Scheduling was a little tricky as we were not living nearby, but Lookswell knew the building and between that and our efforts, access went smoothly. Work was done as promised, on time and quite professionally. They also stayed in touch during the process, so despite not being there, we knew how things were proceeding.
