JR Painting & Remodeling

Raul and some of his workers first power washed our home the weekend before they started painting. Painting a stucco home requires extra painting skill and special paint and rollers to accommodate, which they were very prepared for. Raul and all of his workers were very neat and polite and very skilled painters, they covered all of our plants with tarps and cleaned up each day and neatly stored supplies and ladders under tarps. We were undecided on some of our color choices and Raul was helpful and very accommodating during the process with our decisions. .We also added our fence as an afterthought and Raul and company, although hampered by continuous rain, stayed on the job until everything was completed and that we were satisfied. I would highly recommend Raul and his company JR Painting and Remodeling and plan to use them again this winter for some interior painting and wall paper removal.

JR Painting was a bit flexible in scheduling for my job. They have a fairly long backlog, but contacted me when someone cancelled to get me in earlier. The guys that came were really professional, did a great job and very respectful to our space while we occupied the parts which weren't being painted.

They were the best price quote I received of 3 quotes and did a very nice job priming and painting what was a different color in every room to paint all one color in preparation for a tenant. Very satisfied with the timeliness and cleanliness of the job done. Also extremely trustworthy as I left Raul keys to come and go over the 2 day job as I was not in town. Highly recommend Raul and team!

The painting team had to reschedule last minute due to a transportation issue, but the work performed was very professional and efficient. I would use them again and highly recommend them!

I talked him about 2 weeks ago, his bid was oral, I haven’t heard anything back since, so I just went ahead and scheduled someone else.

It was a routine experience, and they did the work as promised. I can't grade punctuality or professionalism since they did the work while I was away from the house.

We ended up not using this company. Our priorities needed to change and decided that painting the house was not in the cards for this year.

Minor prep work was performed properly. 2 coats of paint applied neatly. Area cleaned up well afterward. Nice guys

Whenever a question was brought up, their response was "no problem". Their team of painters was very professional and great to work with. We would definitely use them again. Prior to painting my house, I referred JR Painting to my son and they painted the interior of his house which is larger than mine. He was very happy as well.

Raul & JR Painting was great to deal with. Their estimate was very competitive and we decided to go with them. We had different colors for each room and accent walls. Sent them an email of all our color selections and they got all the supplies. Initially the estimated 4 days but finished the job in 2.5 days by getting extra people & working long hours. They made sure to protect our newly laid floors properly and removing fixtures like blinds and switch cover plates. After we moved in, Raul came back to complete some minor touch ups and cleanups. Overall a very good experience and would recommend them.

I purchased the big deal coupon for this service and they did fine. My experience with them was fine. They were efficient and they did a professional job. They provided timely service.

The gentleman was very nice but he informed me that if the job wasn't finished in the allotted amount of time, there would be an extra charge of $45.00 per hour, per man to finish the job if I wanted that. My concern is that with no cap on the job cost/time it could take forever and without him coming out to take a look at the job first to give me an estimate of time it would I got a little nervous. I've been burned in the past so I'm more cautious now.

Seems like a nice guy, but would not recommend him. JR Painting and Remodeling promptly answered my questions when I messaged them after buying the Angies List deal. We set a date for the service, and I received an email the day before saying we would have reschedule since the powerwasher was being serviced. I said this was fine and asked if could be done the next day after our scheduled date since he said it would be ready. When I returned home from work the next day (the day originally scheduled), he was at my house powerwashing...he must have received the machine back early which was fine. He was busy powerwashing so I told another worker he had with him that I was home if they have any questions, and to catch up with me before they leave so I could look at the work. I went inside to cook dinner. A bit later when I looked outside to see how it was going, they had left without finding me. This wouldn't have been a problem, except the quality of the work was very bad. First of all, there were areas of siding that simply were not washed. Secondly, the areas that were washed were not washed very well - my wife ran her finger across the siding the next day and dirt was still there (and this was not incredibly dirty siding to begin with). But most importantly, they powerwashed the upper story of the house by simply shooting the power washer from the main level! Powerwashers are made to be used in close proximity to the siding, so (big surprise!) the upper part of our house still looks dirty, significantly more so than the lower part of our house! Previous powerwashers we have used got up on a ladder and did the work the right way. Sorry to say I am disappointed with the quality of work, and for them not even checking in with me before leaving. I can only hope they take enough pride in their work that they see this issue and come back to fix their mistake. Alex

The painters showed up on time, painted the two rooms with two coats of paint each. Painted the trim work also. Did a fine job, I would use them again.

He insisted on coming on Memorial Day, so I had to change my plans to accommodate him. He never came, did not pick up the phone when I called, and did not reply to my message. Very unprofessional!

Perfect job. Never looked better. They brought a large team and finished quickly. Very professional

Service was not needed as my house retained hail damage before I was able to use the Exterior Painting deal. However, the provider was very prompt in returning calls for any inquiry I had.

The two men who performed the work did an excellent job. They were very professional, meticulous and cleaned up well before leaving. I'll be having them come back to paint other rooms in the near future.

The painter arrived on time, very polite and communicate well. The only small issue I have is that the quality of painting was not so professional as I was expecting from a painting company. Overall, he painted most of the places I requested. I got the painter for a day ($199) deal, so they will only paint as much for the period of 8 hours (1 day). Overall I will use them again for the same deal. You can't beat that price $199/day for a painter anywhere else.

I did not pay anything additional. I would use them again in the future.

i responded to a special offer on AL for two painters, 8 hours for $399. The initial contact with the scheduler was a bit rocky. We had a few miscommunications which lead to me staying home one day waiting for painters that never arrived. However, once this was resolved, the service performed was exemplary. The two painters showed up on time and, after a brief run down of what I was looking for, they got to work. This was a HARD JOB. I asked them to paint a large, unfinished basement which is lined with shelves of plastic storage bins. The painters removed every box, scraped/brushed the brick walls, and painted. On top of everything else, they even moved my weightlifting equipment so that they could get to that section of wall without dripping any paint on the weights. These guys really went the extra mile - they had to be exhausted at the end of the day.

We've had some trouble in scheduling and I finally had an appointment for this morning. I received a call from the provider this morning stating that both painters assigned to my home had called in sick. I find this unbelievable so I have contacted Angie's List in order to get a refund of the Big Deal purchase.

Job went great! The team arrived and finished on time and the work was completed to a high level of quality.

The painters arrived on-time and the work was done professionally. They had great attention to detail and cleaned up when the job was done. We are very impressed.

I called them requesting to hire two painters for two days to repaint certain areas of my house. They scheduled me two weeks after I called. The first day only one painter arrived on time as scheduled; the other scheduled painter did not as he had vehicle problems. Raul (the owner) made up for the missing painter by sending two extra painters after the lunch break. Anyhow the morning work did not advance as much as I would have liked; as one painter in 4 hours can do less than 2 painters in 2. The second day both painters arrived on time. All the painters that came to my house were experienced, professional and courteous, and their craftsmanship was really good. They patched cracks, sanded and painted walls and trims. Although they worked a little slower than I expected, I cannot be more pleased with the results. They moved furniture and wall decor and put it back. They cleaned well after themselves. Their work was top notch, and they charged me a very reasonable price of $200 per painter per day. I will hire them again if I could; they do not have any openings any time soon.
