It went very well, he was able to do more than I expected and I was very pleased.

It didn’t. The contractor never followed through with an estimate as requested and promised. While the appointment was kept to review the project, there has been no contact since then.

JR Painting was amazing. They showed up to work and took on many more tasks than originally planned as we discovered issues. The quality of the work was great, our townhome looks fantastic. For comparison, we had already hired another painter (our agent recommended) and they did less work, with more people, in more time for significantly more cost. We will definitely hire Raul again when we need painting or wall repair.

Raul and his team were great! Raul came out and walked to job with me, provided a competitive estimate. When they started the work, his team worked efficiently. Primed and Painted the brick and aluminum siding, trim work and ledges. Very pleased with the service and the end result!

Despite six months of poor weather conditions, Raul and his crew were vigilant about finding the right weather window to properly scrape and sand the deck and then stained it with a semitransparent stain. It came out great. Would highly recommend this company.

This is the second time we hired Raul and his team for painting in our condo. Both times they did a terrific job! They were thorough about moving and covering our belongings, precise with the detailing, and considerate and friendly. Raul stopped by to assess the area and give an estimate and was easy to schedule with; we were able to get our rooms painted within a few weeks of initial contact. When we need to repaint I would definitely hire JR Painting again--we've been very happy with their service, quality of work, and reasonable quotes!

We had our entire 2 bed/2bath loft condo painted & are beyond happy with the results. High ceilings, and beams to work around—not an easy space to paint. Raul & his team did an amazing job at a very reasonable price, and quickly. Patched all the holes (and we had a lot from shelves, hooks, artwork, etc)-the walls looked brand new. Nice to start with a clean slate. I would hire them again & recommend to friends.

I have hired Raul and his team before for interior painting and for dry wall installation. I called him again and once again, Raul provided timely and professional service and beautiful results. I thought I was going to stain both sides of 25 feet of pine fence until I tried it and realized a roller and a brush would take forever and wouldn't cover as well as spraying. Raul rescued me from my very bad idea. Jr's Painting and Remodeling is the epitome of a dependable, reasonably priced and skilled small business. If all small businesses use Raul's model we wouldn't need Angieslist.

Great. Everything looked so good that I added a hallway to the project after seeing the finished rooms. They patched and sanded everything. They were professional, fast and efficient. They moved all large furniture and covered everything. I have recommended them to others. I did have to wait for several days to hear back from my initial request but I will assume that is because they were hard at work. I would highly recommend them.

The work was done timely and professionally. The price was quite reasonable too! I definitely would use this company again! I have actually recommended them to a friend.

I have hired JR Painting twice now. The first job was painting and fixing an area of a bathroom ceiling of our condo which we were putting up for sale. They did such a good job and even did additional repairs free of charge. We hired Raul again to paint rooms, ceilings, and trim in our new house. He was very understanding of our budget and worked with us to find a good price. They did a great job and responded well to any concerns we had. They worked around us and finished in a timely manner. Recommended!

We've now hired Raul for two separate jobs. The first was painting and wood trim installation and the second was painting, skim-coating, and large light and fan installations. Raul's receives my winning marks on all aspects of the job from getting the job done and punctuality, cleaning, price, and flexibility in adding new services. This is all beyond great quality in the work performed, which is especially difficult to achieve in my house since it's old (built in the 1880s). Raul has had to skim-coat uneven walls, hang fans in plastered ceilings, and disconnect radiators for painting. I plan on hiring Raul again when the weather gets warmer for exterior work and more generally, Raul will be my go-to for all of my house work to come (which will be plenty). I wholeheartedly recommend Raul to anyone needing someone trustworthy, versatile, and skilled.

Raul made and appointment and gave us a quote within a few days splitting up the floors of our house because we were unsure if we could do it all at once. They were by far the best quote and did an amazing job. They even did part of the job earlier than expected when we had an opportunity before carpet came in. They were able to work during our vacation and were accommodating when we came home early. Extremely polite and professional. I would absolutely recommend and use again. Our house looks great

Everything was done in a professional manner. Raul made an appt. to look at the work. I received the quote in a day or 2. When they arrived the first day, care was taken to cover the floors with paper. Prep work was done well. They removed some ceiling cabinets and the new ceiling looks wonderful. All of the walls look great. The work area was kept neat. The crew did a great job and it was done in a timely and professional way. I'm very happy with how everything turned out.

I purchased this initially as a deal through Angie's List, which in my experience has not been pain free. Generally there's some miscommunication from the company where they do not seem to have the information of the deal that I purchased, and that is assuming the company manages to reach out to me at all. But I digress. Raul did reach out to me, but due to weather difficulties, the project could not be completed until July (even though I initially purchased the deal in May). Once I was able to contact Raul, he emailed me regularly, and even came out to my home to assess the project. I was able to select the type of paint, and the entire job was completed within 3 to 4 afternoons. My siding looks how I imagine the house looked when it was first built. I'm very pleased with the work. Will likely plan to hire again if/when I decide to have the trim painted.

Terrific, great service, communication and overall quality of paint job. Had to discuss expectations when they would arrive be on site in the beginning of the job. After that it was smooth sailing. Great balance of value and quality.

Purchased Angie's List deal in March for JR Painting & Remodeling to paint outside trim on 2-story home. Scheduling the work was a bit tricky due to the unusual amount of rain this spring. I started to feel a bit uneasy about the work getting scheduled and completed as a couple of months wore on, but Raul kept up communication with me (we touched base every week or 2), and the job was finally completed in early June. Raul was patient and provided helpful advice in terms of matching existing trim colors or choosing new. At my request, his team power-washed the entire house (vinyl siding) in addition to the trim a few weeks prior to the actual job. They didn't charge extra for the full power wash (maybe it's always part of prep anyway, not sure). Also at my request, he stopped by to go over the job with me prior to doing the work. There were a few picky details on my part that I wanted to point out and discuss, and again, he was not only patient, but very helpful. We walked all around the house and discussed things, and he answered all questions. I was also torn between 2 trim colors, so he suggested I go to home depot, buy inexpensive small samples, and test the 2 colors on our garage doors, which I did, and that turned out to be crucial advice, because otherwise I was definitely leaning toward the wrong color. They completed most of the project in one day, returning briefly on day 2 to finish up. The young man who supervised the work was professional and courteous, as was his team. When they were almost done, he asked me to walk around and inspect the work and let him know if anything needed attention, which seems like something that should be a given with this type of service, but often isn't. There were a few issues but all were taken care of to my satisfaction. Raul himself came back to take care of one of the issues, a mistake made by one of their newest team members. The overall quality of their work (including their expectation and willingness to correct things as part of their process) was very good, and I would hire them again.
