Description of Work: Installed long stretch of semi sheer drapes in stairwell. Had initial problems w/ traverse rod but one phone call & they quickly solved the problem which it turned out that I had caused. Great follow up service.

Description of Work: I needed new draperies and Roman shades for my living room windows. Michael Jerger helped me select the style of shades and drapery color. Very professional and I was pleased with the results.

Description of Work: I went into the store and no one was there to help me. I asked for certain fabrics and the only person in the store was rude. She told me that if I read the info on Angie's List it clearly said I needed to make an appointment. When I said to her this is a retail store front and I need an appointment! She said she doesn't deal with people like me and I should leave. At that point I left and she took my license plate number - I guess that was suppose to scare me. I would NEVER EVER recommend this place to anyone. I then got in my and went to Gotca Covered and was so impressed with them. I am in the process of placing my order for customs drapes and bedspread.

Description of Work: Times are tough and shops are doing everything they can to capture customers. That is except Jerger Window Fashions. I'm not prone to nattering, but I wanted to mention this detail of my experience with them (which was brief): When I called to book an appointment for one of their salespeople to visit our home, look at our windows in question, and provide an estimate for their service, they asked me to come to their shop (so they could show me fabrics for the valance). Valance? While we talked briefly about my situation, I felt his asking me to go to them to look at fabric akin to a waiter asking, "And how would you like that prepared, sir?" before I placed my order. I know why they wanted me to drive there - so I'd be there, see things, and decide, johnny-on-the-spot, to hire them rather than further delaying (appointments, quotes, manufacturing) the installation date. There are many people that provide a wide array of services. But what sets the best apart from the rest is their interest in and attention to me, you, us, Customers! In the "courting phase" I expect to be catered to; I expect them to come to my home if their service involves my home; I expect a follow-up call or note. Clearly I thought that their attention was elsewhere when I called, which made me feel as though I were interrupting. I didn't waste time driving there because he wasn't interested in wasting his time driving here. And he never called to check on me or if I was still interested. I felt like the girl at prom who hoped to dance but left early, and no one noticed.

Description of Work: They are an excellent company. I inquired about coming out to Morton Grove on the weekend and he was out here on Tuesday taking measurements and helping me pick out wood blinds for three windows. He even suggested to not do a fabric window cornice top treatment, it would be too expensive and he thought that the wood blinds wood look fine on its own. They quoted three weeks until blinds were in and it was right on time. Installation took about 15 minutes, they were nice, clean and answered all questions. The only thing that was wrong was I had asked for the pull cord to be on a different side for all three blinds than it came on since windows met in a corner. The installer Chuck said that I wouldn't want it that way. He said one side should be for the tilting and one for pulling up and down. When I ordered Marvin said that I could order this way. So, that is way they come or they forgot to order the way I wanted them. Either way, they are beautiful blinds and I love them.
