Ward answered an e-mail I sent to organize the inspection and explained that they needed to schedule it through the office. We did this and Jeff arrived exactly on time at the house where we met him. He then spent 4 hours going over everything at the house, testing everything and pointing out to us anything that needed attention or was a potential problem. Jeff was polite, professional, and friendly during the time and inspired confidence that he clearly knew what he was doing.

Arrived ten minutes late but called to let me know of traffic problems. The inspection went well. Very detailed and practical approach. Clear explanations from friendly representative.

Very professional from start to finish. Very pleasant people. Julio Neira did the inspection. Good attention to detail, made helpful suggestions without being alarmist. The inspection report submitted at end of day by email was very helpful, I could forward it to my attorney and agent etc. I highly recommend this company and I would definitely hire them again.

Ward Rinehart, one of the principals for Inspectrum performed our inspection. He arrived on time and was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I called him several times with followup questions and he responded promptly. I recommend Ward and Inspectrum very highly.

We called Inspectrum 10 days before our scheduled "punch-list" walk-thru on a new construction home in the City of Chicago. The developer had agreed that we could bring our own home inspector to view the residence before closing. Jeff from Inspectrum booked the appointment and showed up right on time. He conducted a thorough inspection of the new house (approx. 2.50 hours). He included mini-tutorials for us on operating and maintaining the new furnace, as well as the electrical and sump-pump systems. At the end of the inspection, Jeff walked us through the final report generated on his lap-top and all of his comments, including visual conformations where necessary. He explained the rating system used in the report for the various elements covered by the inspection. He then e-mailed his report to our home e-mail and was ready to e-mail the report to any additional persons if we so wanted. He was clearly knowledgeable and patient with our questions.

The job went off without a hitch. The report was given to the general contractor and myself the same day. It was detailed with specific recommendations. In addition, Jeff called at the start to see if I still wanted the work done that day since there were workers doing finishing work when he arrived. Very thoughtful and customer-oriented. I recommend Inspectrum without hesitation.

6000 LATER, WE NOW HAVE DRAIN TILE AND SUMP PUMP CONSTRUCTION UNDERWAY IN THE BASEMENT TO FIX IT. MOST (BUT NOT ALL) OF THAT IS COVERED BY AN ESCROW WE DEMANDED FROM THE SELLER. BOTH WATERPROOFING COMPANIES I BROUGHT IN TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM SAID THAT THIS IS A COMMON FAULT IN OLD HOUSES, AND THE INSPECTION COMPANY SHOULD HAVE CAUGHT IT. IS THAT TRUE? WHO KNOWS?

These guys are excellent! They are very thorough and knowledgeable. I've used them 4 times now, and the one time I didn't use them was on a new construction condo. DO NOT MAKE THIS MISTAKE. The money you think you'll save by not using them will definitely be spent on fixing stuff later that they would have found.

The person we had, Julio Mira, was wonderful. He gave a very thorough inspection and told us everything we need to know about our home and how to take care of things. A very positive experience and we have already gone back to them. A real learning experience!

This was my second time using Inspectrum. Both times they were punctual and professional. Although the inspection was scheduled late in the day and the tenant was in the unit, Julio did a very thorough job with all the inpectable items.

This was a unique challenge, and Jeff went above and beyond, even crawling underneath the 100-year-old building to investigate a structural issue. The report he sent afterward was thorough and full of valuable information. We are not buying or selling the property but rather using this report to guide future projects; I would highly recommend Inspectrum and would absolutely trust them if I were negotiating a purchase decision.

Julio arrived on time, was very personable and knowledgeable. He did an extremely thorough job inspecting the home and made many helpful suggestions for how to maintain the home. He gave honest feedback regarding the quality of the home and guidance as to what areas may be negotiable with the seller. He found a major defect in the fireplace, that could have been overlooked. He was also available for questions after the inspection and always returned phone calls promptly. We were so impressed with his work that we hired him to assist us on the walk through to make sure that the work completed after the inspection was done correctly.

The company responded very quickly to our initial call and was willing to work within our time constraints. The inspection report was thorough and helpful.

Jeff came out and took a look at our new condo. He was punctual and professional. He seemed to do a great job and identified a few areas where work would be needed, as well as provided a few pointers on how to take care of the place should we buy it. I'm under the full belief that he did a great job and was quite thorough. My only reservation is that there were not a lot of defects identified. Maybe it's just a great place??!! Only time will tell though. I'd definitely use Inspectrum again.

When I first called Inspectrum, they returned my call within fifteen minutes. Jeff the inspector was on time, very polite and helpful. He typed up his inspection report and PDF'd it to me an hour after finishing his inspection. I did not realize that there would be a separate charge for inspection of the roof.

He was extremely thorough, professional, on time and did an exceptional job compared to other home inspectors I have used in the past.

INSPECTRUM SENT JULIO OUT TO INSPECT TWO DIFFERENT HOUSES FOR MY WIFE AND I. HE WAS VERY THOROUGH IN INSPECTING BOTH HOMES. JULIO ALSO DID A GREAT JOB MAKING SURE WE UNDERSTOOD WHAT HIS CONCERNS WITH THE HOUSES WERE. BEST OF ALL HE WAS VERY HONEST IN NOT OFFERING ANY INFORMATION HE WASN'T ABSOLUTELY SURE OF, LIKE, ''ABOUT HOW MUCH DO YOU THINK FIXING A THING LIKE THAT WOULD BE?'' JULIO ALSO WAS ABLE TO PROVIDE A GOOD OVERALL PICTURE OF WHAT THE MAJOR CONCERNS WERE AND HOW THEY RELATED TO ONE ANOTHER.

STEW CAME OUT TO DO THE INSPECTION. WE DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT KEEPING UP A HOUSE. HE EXPLAINED THE WAY THINGS IN THE HOUSE WORKED AND GAVE RECOMMENDATIONS ON HOW TO FIX THINGS THAT HE FOUND THAT NEEDED TO BE UPDATED OR REPAIRED. THEY USE A GREAT SOFTWARE PROGRAM THAT HIGHLIGHTS POTENTIAL PROBLEMS AND HE WAS ABLE TO WRITE IN COMMENTS WHEREVER NECESSARY SO WE KNEW WHAT TO DO. ON TOP OF THAT, A PROFESSIONAL REPORT WAS EMAILED TO US RIGHT AFTER HE WAS DONE AND WE COULD SHARE IT WITH THE ATTORNEYS, REALTORS AND SELLERS IN REAL TIME. HE WAS ON TIME, EFFICIENT, THOROUGH, PRACTICAL, REASSURING AND FRIENDLY. ALL QUALITIES THAT MADE THE INSPECTION GO VERY WELL.

I HAVE BEEN VERY IMPRESSED BY THE COMPANY AND IT'S TEAM MEMBERS. THIS COMPANY IS WORTH EVERY PENNY! THEY ANSWER YOUR CALL RIGHT AWAY. I SCHEDULED MY INSPECTION A MONTH IN ADVANCE. JULIO DID A SUPERB JOB INFORMING ME OF THE INSPECTION AND CAME EARLY TO THE APPOINTMENT. HE DIDN'T MIND THAT I ASKED QUESTIONS AND TOOK THE TIME TO ANSWER THEM. HERE IS THE TRUE TEST, I WAS REFERRED TO HIM FROM ANOTHER HAPPY CUSTOMER NOT AFFILIATED WITH ANGIE'S LIST. I JOINED THE LIST JUST SO I CAN EMPOWER OTHERS ABOUT JULIO AND INSPECTRUM.

JULIO WAS PUNCTUAL AND EXTREMELY NICE. HE WAS VERY DILIGENT IN SHOWING US WHAT THE ISSUES WERE WITH THE HOME, AND EXPLAINING WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE ABOUT THEM. INSPECTRUM'S PRICE WAS 20-25% HIGHER THAN THE OTHER TWO COMPANIES WE CALLED ABOUT THIS, BUT THE OVERALL POSITIVE EXPERIENCE JUSTIFIES THAT.

STU WAS FANTASTIC! HE WAS EARLY BOTH VISITS AND WAS VERY HELPFUL. WHEN HE SAW THAT THE HOME WAS NOT COMPLETED ENOUGH TO DO A FULL INSPECTION, HE INFORMED ME OF THIS AND VOLUNTEERED TO RETURN IN A FEW DAYS AT NO EXTRA COST. VERY THOROUGH. I WILL USE HIM AGAIN. PRICE WAS BASED ON THE VALUE OF THE HOME WHICH I AT FIRST DID NOT LIKE; BUT AFTERWARD I REALIZED THAT IT IS A FAIRLY GOOD MEASURE IN TERMS OF SIZE OF HOME AND THE NUMBER AND COMPLEXITIES OF THE SYSTEMS TO BE INSPECTED. I FEEL THE PRICE WAS VERY FAIR.

HE WAS PROMPT AND FRIENDLY. HE SEEMED VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND EVEN KNEW SOME THINGS ABOUT THE AREA THAT WE HAD WONDERED ABOUT. HE WAS VERY THOROUGH INSPECTING THE PROPERTY AND EXPLAINED A LOT OF WHAT WE WERE SEEING AS WE WENT THROUGH THE HOME WITH HIM. HE WAS VERY HELPFUL.

OUR INSPECTOR, JULIO, WAS WONDERFUL. HE SHOWED UP EARLY FOR THE INSPECTION AND WAS WAITING OUT FRONT FOR US WHEN WE ARRIVED. HE DID A THOROUGH JOB WITH THE INSPECTION, EVEN GOING SO FAR AS TO LIE ON THE FLOOR WITH HIS HEAD INSIDE THE SMALL ACCESS PANEL IN A WALL TO INVESTIGATE A LEAKY BATHTUB FAUCET. HE ALSO, TOOK THE TIME TO EXPLAIN THE OPERATION OF THE HEATING AND PLUMBING SYSTEMS. HE HAS A LOT OF KNOWLEDGE AND A GREAT PERSONALITY. AT THE END OF THE INSPECTION HE REVIEWED THE REPORT WITH US AND ANSWERED ALL OF OUR QUESTIONS. IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY. IT WAS EASY TO SET UP OUR APPOINTMENT. THIS COMPANY RETURNS PHONE CALLS PROMPTLY. WE WOULD RECOMMEND JULIO TO ANYONE.

WARD RHINEHART CAME OUT AND INSPECTED OUR TWO FLATS. SAVED ME THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS AND WAS EXTREMELY THOROUGH. HE FOUND MOLD, COLD VIOLATIONS, AND DETAILS SUCH AS CRACK IN THE MARBLE TILE. MOST IMPORTANTLY, HE TOOK THE TIME TO EXPLAIN THE SMALLEST DETAILS TO ME. I WOULD HIRE HIM AGAIN IN A SECOND!!
