Gosia at Illinois Home Improvement was super nice and very easy to work with. Just a pleasant person to deal with. She was my main contact with the company ... arranged for the estimate, did the scheduling, tried to help me find new brick that would match the house, etc. The company arrived on time, were quiet and respectful, and put in some really long days. I was really impressed. The wall came out really nice!

Scheduled the work at MY convenience! Work was completed amazingly fast, only took a week and I thought it would take much longer. Crew cleaned up EVERY night, didn't wait until the end of the project like some do. They were very patient with ALL of my questions - met with me to answer them and responded to my phone calls. Had to do additional work from the original estimate, called and explained what it was and how much it would cost. The owners checked on crew and work at least two times that I saw them (but was probably daily). Would definitely use them again.

We are so pleased with the results. It looks great! It has been a year since this project was completed - I wanted to see how everything held up. Four other contractors assessed and quoted the project. Three quoted much lower (didn't actually address the problem), one higher (included rebuilding the our chimney?). First contact with Illinois Home Improvement/Best Brickmasters was Peter Zieba. His thorough knowledge of brick building structures and Chicago bungalows in particular filled us with confidence. Peter kept in contact daily (or every other day). He was easy to to find him via email or phone - no problems. His crew worked through some of the hottest weather in Aug-Sep 2013. In addition to their collective craftsmanship, they carefully removed and replaced our 6-foot, flower-filled window boxes (heavy and awkward). Our little bungalow is the house of our dreams. We wanted the best care and restoration we could afford. Illinois Home Improvement/Best Brickmasters provided that. Hire them for your project!

They were good. They were recommended by our realtor so we chose them over others. They were friendly and timely.

I am hiring them because I find them very knowledgeable. They came and discussed the scope of the project with me.

Only provides estimates from 10:00am-2:00pm --- not sure how that helps people who have jobs?

We were very pleased. They were professional and prompt from start to finish.

It was kind of an odd thing because we asked them for a quote on a couple of different stages of like how much it cost to do this and then would we drop that part out and then do this part, how much would that cost us. It was for a porch remodel and pouring concrete. The were very personable and very nice, and they were definitely willing to come out and help with things. I was not very happy with the quote but partly because that was more than what I wanted to commit to that bargain. They only quoted part of the process but that might have been just a little bit of misunderstanding between them and us, but that might have been on us a little bit not being very clear about what the project entails. They were certainly very nice and they seemed to know what they were talking about to the most part. We were going to go with a different group but then we abandoned the project. We didn't ultimately pick them but it was one of the two we got and they seemed particularly good. They were quite competent in making sure that we got the contract. They were also good with follow ups.

We have contracted Illinois Home Improvement Corp. to fix our roof and remodel our bathroom; while the work is still currently in progress, we couldn't be happier with the responsiveness and professionalism seen by the staff. Phone calls are returned within 12-24 hours and the president made a trip out to document our issues. We are very happy with the current work and expect similar quality represented upon the finished product.

Unfortunately, winter caught us and we're waiting for favorable weather to proceed with the job.

It was excellent. They weren't cheap, but they were very good. They were punctual; Martin Wrobel came out, he and the men that did the work were very professional and knowledgable. When they set a time to arrive they were there at that time. They cleaned up after themselves. They were very diligent about cleaning up whatever debris there was.

It was great! Peter was very responsive and knowledgeable, provided helpful information on the issues he found with the roof, and gave a detailed estimate of the costs. In addition, he did an excellent job with the repairs, and we couldn't be happier with his work.

This work was done during December and January! We had some very mild weather a few days at a time, so scheduling the work days was critical for laying mortar in winter. Peter and his crew arrived for work on schedule every day, weather permitting. The previous roofing company covered the entire inside of the front parapet wall with roofing material, which caused the bricks to crumble because of moisture retention. The new roofing material was placed at the proper height, and new flashing was installed. The workmanship was excellent and I am very pleased with the entire job.

I like Illinois Home Improvement Corp/Best Brickmasters a lot. They haven't done work for me for 2 years but they have the potential of doing work for me for another project. They're great.

Peter and the crew at Best Brickmasters was a pleasure to work with. I have had experience with many contract firms personally and professionally, and they were one of the best I've worked with. The previous fall, after bidding the job, Peter came to speak to our condo association and explained (with show and tell) the work that needed to be accomplished. This was instrumental in having the association members approve the project. We kept in touch over the winter and finally secured the job in late winter/early spring. They kept us informed on the status of the jobs before ours so that we could be prepared when it was time to work. Best Brickmasters arranged and secured all the permits and safety canopies needed for the city of Chicago. Once they started, the crew worked hard. They worked quickly and kept the area clean. The job was finished in almost one month of straight work (they even came out on Saturdays). Their tuck pointing / masonry work is beautiful and we're looking forward to Best Brickmasters completing the 2nd phase of our project in the future. Our association board received praise from our members on the professionalism and quality from Best Brickmasters.

Illinois Home Improvement Corp/Best Brickmasters gave us a reasonable quote. They were good, we have some friends who use them all the time primarily for brickwork. They were one of our last choices but we decided not to go with them because they could not do what we wanted done. They are very efficient, the lady in the office emailed the quote back and called twice to find out if we were interested, it is just that we needed a special door and some special work done. Our friends are using them and they are going to get a quote from them for sidings, windows and brick work. I think they are really good on their brick work, I have seen their work and it is fabulous.They did a fine job on the quote process.

the tuck pointing above the lintel was constantly being repaired by different companies. I called Illinois Home Improvement. They checked out the house and contacted me via email and suggested replacing the lintel via a quote in an email. I had a few questions and regarding how the color is matched and about the process of replacing the glass block. Eric called me to explain everything so I would understand what was going to happen. I was satisfied with his explanations and signed off on the quote. Everything happened on time and they even did minor repairs beyond the agreed upon area. Things I didn't notice, but they fixed as long as they were there. Overall I'm happy with the work, it shows no signs of degrading.

They came in and gave an estimate for tuckpointing a very large section of our outer wall as well as a large portion of our basement. The estimate was higher than others, but based on their reviews here as well as the professionalism of the gentleman who showed up(on time, courteous, pointed out possible issues, etc.) we chose these gentlemen. Upon start of work, they were focused and worked hard. They did not waste time. They worked very hard and got done before expected. Several minor issues cropped up and the workmen took care of them quickly and easily. They were clean. They used drop cloths, barrier cloths(to keep dust down in rest of basement), and swept up after themselves after they left. In fact, our basement floor was cleaner when they left than when they arrived. So... expensive, but you get what you pay for. We would definitely use these gentlemen again.

Also, we hired them to replace a bathroom window that was supposed to match the white framed windows we had throughout the house (email correspondence confirms this). They selected a window that has a beige track for the window that cannot be painted. We could not have been, and were not, aware of this fact until after it was installed and they would not make any correction. There failure to try to rectify the situation and to accept responsibility for their mistake leads me to give them the one star rating.

We saw that we had some brick deterioration and we knew Best Brickmasters had done work on three other buildings on our block. We spoke to our neighbors who were very pleased with their work. We checked them on Angie's List and they had an "A" rating. We also checked the Better Business Bureau and they did not have any complaints. We contacted Eric Wrobel, and he came and inspected the building and took photos. In a few days, we received a proposal and sent a down payment. The crew that worked on our building worked really hard and did a great job. They were very neat, and they cleaned up every day, and swept and hosed down the sidewalk where it was needed. They were all very pleasant to deal with. If we had any questions, we just called Joanna in the office, and she was great to deal with. She was always very pleasant, and she kept us up-to-date on the work and payments. It was a very pleasant experience dealing with them, and we highly recommend Best Brickmasters, because they do excellent work, and are great to deal with.

This was a major job, as there were about 6 inches of old tar and stone roofing on our 104 year old building. The crew that worked on our roof worked really hard all day, and cleaned up the area around our building every day. They showed up on time each day and were very pleasant to deal with. Eric Wrobel, was in charge the installation, and he did a wonderful job of keeping us up-to-date on the progress of the work. He took many photos of the work in progress, which we really appreciated. And if we had any questions along the way, we called the office and spoke to Joanna, who was wonderful to deal with. She was always pleasant and it was a real pleasure dealing with her. She is a real asset to this firm. The work on our roof went smoothly, and everything was well co-ordinated with the arrival of all the materials in a timely manner exactly when they were needed. When we thought we might have rain, they placed a tarp on our roof to keep out any water. We highly recommend Illinois Home Improvement Corporation and we will definitely use their services again in the future.

I feel they are very good. I’ve seen other works by them around the area which was why I called them. They were professional and I plan to use it again in the future.
