They called to arrange an inspection, make suggestions and to prepare a quote for the work, presented a detailed quote in a timely manner, set-up the time for the work crew to do the job and completed the work in one long days work. The owner came by during the job and checked on the progress of the work. Total satisfaction.

We liked all of the positive comments they had on Angie's List. They did good work and have good customer service. They were very thorough and responsive.

The company gave me a good deal on high quality windows. They had two separate crews which were terrific. The tuck pointers really know what they are doing. Both crews got there early in the morning and worked hard, they clean up every single day. The tuck pointers worked every day until they got the job finished.

They do work according to the weather so they kept postponing the work.

The company provided a timely estimate that was comparable, or less, than other estimates. They came on site within two weeks after the estimate was given. They were very responsive. They left the area very clean at night. The supervisor was accessible throughout the work and the work was excellent quality. Joints even, mortar, and brick, matched existing. The work was completed within one week after start. This was further complicated by colder than normal weather conditions. I was very satisfied.

Excellent. My lintel had broke and a portion of bricks and stone had fallen out. IHI rebuilt everything perfectly, re-using the existing bricks.

They came out and did the work and it was good, but when there was a problem but they came out and fixed it. They didn't do a great job of cleaning up after themselves but anything they did wrong they have rectified. I would recommend them but I would suggest clearly state your expectations in terms of keeping the rest of your house clean during construction.

He said he'd get right back with an estimate and that was a week ago. We never heard back from him. He was very unprofessional. We'll not use them in the future. The guy they sent out was young, evaluated the area and said he needed to consult with his dad before completing the proposal.

They came out and gave me and estimate for tuckpointing on the side of the building and chimney repair. I notice that they put on the estimate that they were going to replace the lintels. I asked gentlemen if he looked at the lintels and he said no but they usually need to be replaced. I also asked them how they knew that they haven't been replaced in the last 2 years and he said he didn't. I told them to give me a new estimate without the lintels being replaced. They gave me a new estimate without the lintels I agreed on the work to be completed. The only thing I didn't like was quoting work that didn't need to be completed. Real good workers work is excellent just wanted to do more work then needed.

It's been five days since I called, and I haven't heard a word from them.

As you can see above, Eric and his crew performed quite a bit of work. It was all done exceptionally well, within the quoted price, and very quickly. Bogdan - the foreman - and his guys were very nice and did top notch work. The real benefit with working with this company - other than the fact that they provided the best bid - was that it truly is a family owned business and I got to know everyone in the family. Marting worked with me for months developing the design, his mother was the troubleshooter on the phone, and Eric, the owner, was always available, both on the phone and in person. The Wrobels were all friendly, accommodating, and very fair. Much of the delay from the first meeting to the final install was due to me, but I was never pressured. No hard sale here. Finally, Ula, in the office, was right on top of everything and was very responsive via phone and email when it came to ironing out the little details. This is a very tight ship when it comes to their craft, and they make you feel very comfortable during the process. They just finished, and I am already requesting a quote on a paver patio. I have recommended them to friends and family in the area as well. Eric doesn't just slap up the work - he knows what he is doing. He knows the science and physics of concrete and masonry, as well as the history of the craft. He knew that my salvaged limestone panel was carved in Italy, and he matched the surrounding limestone to a tee! Go ahead and get your other quotes, but Eric is the one you should end up hiring.

Eric had a Marvin window specialist meet him at our house to measure the windows. Once they were completed, he made it a priority to get his carpenters out immediately, which was very much appreciated. The carpenters were extremely professional, worked efficiently and did an expert job. They rebuilt the exterior bay, always being sensitive to the rest of the exterior of our house, as I said, matching the cedar shake shingles and the trim. On the interior, they completed the window seats beautifully, paying attention to all the details. Having just been through a nightmarish experience with two previous contractors, we were very aware of the possible pitfalls of the project. The only problem that arose was when the window trim (which had been cut to match the original) turned out to be 3/16th" too short. Eric immediately fixed the problem and one would never know that the trim wasn't the original. The workers cleaned up after themselves each day. I couldn't be happier with the finished product.

I forgot that I had contacted them before and was not pleased with them. Their bid was three times as high as everyone else's, and they are very accusatory when you do not chose them. I would never use them!

We had an exceptionally good experience with Eric and his crew. Eric responded promptly to my call. He was knowledgeable in explaining all that needed to be done. Work started within 3 weeks of our signing the contract. The crew was terrific. They worked efficiently and cleaned up the site at the end of each day. It took about 7-8 days for them to complete the work. We've had many previous BAD experiences with contractors and by comparison, I could see how professional Eric's crew was. E.g., they attached the brick to the wooden sub-wall by fastening L-shaped pieces of metal to the wood sub-wall and laying it on the brick, then tuckpointing over the metal, to keep it in place. They repaired a 100-year old concrete window ledge beautifully so that we did not have to replace it with a new one that would've looked out of character. They matched the mortar to our unusual dusty rose color. The work went so well, in fact, that we've already contracted them to do additional work.

They came to view problem, gave us an estimate and started the repairs within a week of our initial call. Workman arrived every day at 7:15-7:30am. All work was done in a highly professional manner. They cleaned up the area every day.

They were very helpful in many ways.

I called on a Saturday and Eric gave me a fair quote over the phone. He came by unannounced on the following Saturday to inspect the job and have me sign the contract. I asked for a quote to re brick the interior wall that appeared to be crumbling and he said his guys would mortar it solid when they did the masonry work for no charge. The replacement outside window capping was not discussed. When I called Eric about it, he and I came to a very fair price for the additional job. I will work with him again.

I called the company on two occassions asking for an estimate on work I wanted done. I was told that someone would check the site and get back to me. They never got back to me with the information even after promising to call me back the same day.

All I can say is that this company came recommended by a local contractor and was highly rated on Angie's List, but I couldn't get them to even give me an estimate. Over a recent 30 day period, I talked to the receptionist twice and e-mailed someone else just trying to get anyone to talk to me about the project. I'm fine if they would have said that the the project is too small for them to consider; but I got nothing. I moved on.

IHIC did extensive masonry on our condominium building. The project manager, John Alvarez, was punctual, knowledgeable and professional. Besides doing a great job on the work, IHIC has been helpful with follow-up visits and making sure we were satisfied with the job and workmanship. A terrific company to work with.

John did an awesome job, he really works hard. Also, he is very informed, customer service oriented, patient, experienced, professional, detailed oriented and good at using his best judgment. In addition, John has a great sense of humor which eased the tension of home construction. He takes great notes on the project and he is very good at explaining technical issues. His projects started and ended on time. He met every deadline. I highly recommend him.
