I brought my grandmother's ring in to see if the diamonds could be taken out and redesigned into a ring that was more my style. Zofia and her father, Henry, more than exceeded my expectations! Zofia was so patient with me and drew several designs for me to consider. I was stunned to see the beautiful results!

My watch had been sitting on my nightstand for about six months. The battery died and I did not have time to take it in. After a brief call to HR Jewelers, I walked over to their office on Wabash. The space is small, but sufficient. I gave Henry the watch and he went straight to work. I was able to see him work through a window to his workspace. Within five minutes, the watch was ready. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience.

It is hard to find a reputable jeweler for a (hopefully) once in a lifetime experience. I checked Angie's List, and I figured 26 other people could not be wrong -- they were not. I had a great experience with H.R. Jewelers from start to finish. I initially went in looking for a diamond, and Zofia wound up making a gorgeous engagement ring from me that was cast in platinum and etched by hand. The ring was done right on time and within $50 of the estimate that I received. Everyone was friendly and professional. I would highly recommend H.R. Jewelers.

My experience with HR Jewelers was excellent from beginning to end. They are extremely friendly, and obviously value their high ranking on Angie's List (which is completely deserved). I took in my engagement ring on a Tuesday to have them look at the crack that had developed in the platinum band, right underneath the stone mounting. I had taken this ring to another jeweler who had said "I've never seen a break like this before" and that to repair would be "at least a hundred dollars". Henry took a look at my ring and without batting an eyelash told me $50 and it would be ready in 2 days. He was absolutely on the mark on all counts. In fact, the ring is better than it was when I received it 6 years ago. The mounting of the diamond had always been a little bit crooked on the ring, and he even straightened this out for me without being asked! I'm so happy with the service that I've received from HR Jewelers, I'll definitely return.

It went great. Zofia listened to what I wanted and offered great suggestions. She did the work promptly and with great attention to detail. I would highly recommend HR Jewelers!

Actually, the experience did not get started. I could not find the store. I am wondering if the store is closed?

I cannot rave enough or say enough good things about my experience with HR Jewelers. I found them on Angie's List and went to their store with the idea that I wanted to buy emerald earrings for my wife for our 15th anniversary. I previously bought my wife an emerald necklace and the earrings had to complement the necklace. Zofia and her father Henry could not have been nicer. I sent Zofia a picture of the necklace. She found emeralds that closely matched it and designed earrings that made make it look as if the necklace and earrings belong together. I told Zofia my budget range and not only did she meet the budget but she came in at the low end; and she gave me an Angie's list discount. She and Henry did the work quickly and beautifully. I will definitely come back to them for all my jewelry purchases. Outstanding experience!

They fixed it within 48 hours. They were very friendly, they were very professional. They gave us a discount and I will definitely go back.

When I took the ring in, Henry Ruzyc examined it, confirmed that the prongs needed replacing, gave me an estimate of $235, told me that his best jeweler was on vacation and asked if I could wait until his jeweler got back. As I wasn't in a hurry, I said fine. He said the ring would be ready on August 20, and on August 19, Zofia Ruzyc (Henry's daughter) called, said the ring was ready. I picked it up, and they gave me a 10% discount because I'd mentioned that I'd found them on Angie's List (I didn't have a coupon). The ring looks like new and fits perfectly.

Beautiful workmanship....extremely quick turnaround! The staff were very nice and accomodating. I had my ring back by day #2 and it was perfect! Thank you so much!!!

I inquired by email about the possibility of repairing two necklaces - both delicate white gold pieces. The response was quick, polite, and informative. I dropped off the pieces, and Zofia took extra care to explain the different procedures that would be used to fix them (one of them had stones that were sensitive to heat). They were ready when promised, and Henry did a great job. I'm so thrilled to have these sentimental pieces available to wear again!

The service was great! All pieces were repaired and restored to excellent condition, including cleaning and polishing as needed. Work was done very quickly and just as promised.

Zofia did a great job. It was done quickly, and for a very reasonable price. She even gave the old clasp back to me along with the necklace, without me even asking for it, because of sentimental value. The only quibble I have (and it's minor) is that I had to ask her for a cost estimate when I dropped the necklace off--she didn't bring up the subject herself. She happily provided one, though, and ended up charging me less than she had estimated. Highly recommended.

Henry was friendly, professional, and he cut to the chase. Even for such a small job, he was precise and responsive to my questions. The price was very reasonable and he finished the job in a few hours. He also agreed to fine tune the size if needed, at no extra charge. Finally, Henry is clearly very proud of his Angie's List reviews.

After searching Angie's List, I decided to call HR Jewelers. When I made the first call to the office I spoke to a young lady who I later found out was the manager/partner, Zofia, she was very friendly on the phone and made me feel very comfortable. I went to the office about 2 weeks later and met Henry who was also very helpful, he explained the extent of work needed and assured me I will be very happy with the finished product. About 2 days later I got a call from Zofia that my jewelry was ready for pick up. I picked up the piece 3 days later and I was blown away, by the craftsmanship, I could not tell the difference. The extension was a perfect match. Henry also provided me with valuable information about caring for my jewelry. I was very happy with his work that I requested he re-mount my engagement ring. I can't wait to pick it up. Kudos to H R Jewelers.

Mr. Ruzyc is very friendly and polite. He asked several questions when I dropped the item off to ensure that everything would be taken care of (the broach was my grandmother's and I am giving it to my mother for her birthday). I had not thought to ask to have the watch cleaned and oiled, only the decorative parts. He thought he would need a week to turn it around, but called later in the day to tell me I could pick the item up the next day. He also asked if I would like a gift box for it, which I did. The box is really quite pretty and much nicer than anything I would have found on my own. I wish I had more jewelry that needed attention right now! He will certainly receive all of my business in the future!

I inherited an antique gold bracelet from my Great Aunt, and the hinge was ornery, and there were 6 tiny diamond like stones set in engraved flowers. One of the stones was missing, and one looked like it had sunk into the piece. I took the bracelet in, and Zofia looked it over. She said that these types of hinges might not be "fixable", and that the stones were crystal. We decided to replace them with diamonds. Zofia did an excellent job, the piece is gorgeous, and the hinge works perfectly.

It took a few tries to get it the right size, but Henry did not charge for the additional work. The workmanship was first-class.

I had bought a diamond ring but wanted it reset into a platinum band for my fianc . We worked with both Zophia and Henry and they were great! They created the perfect wedding band for us. Their work was extraordinary, it was better than we could have imagined. They treated us like family...truly customer service. We plan on having them create my wedding band after the holidays. I can't wait to work with them again.

I had this ring repaired about 10 years ago by a different jeweler not specializing in antique jewelry repair. They didn't do a very good job. Instead of actually repairing the filigree, they just kind of melted the pieces that had pulled off back together. Really lost the filigree work. The repair that HR Jewelers did is excellent. After leaving the ring with them, they called me with an estimate and then within about a week had the ring repaired. My only complaint is that they said that the would also get the ring appraised. Didn't, and overall it seemed a little bit expensive. Really the quality of the work was excellent.

My interaction with the staff was very positive. The customer service was excellent; very helpful, and very courteous. She knew about the old cut on the stone. I will definitely go back again and have my jewelry repaired by H&R Jewelers.

They were wonderful, helpful, kind, and professional. My daughter had broken a rhinestone tiara that does not exactly qualify as "jewelry", but they understood the sentimental value and were happy to fix it. It's as good as new and safely tucked away from my 3-year-old. I'm really happy to have found them and when a piece of real jewelry gets broken, it'll be the first place I go.

I could not have had a better experience: terrific workmanship, prompt service, extremely fair pricing, warm professionalism. My ring had a damaged, inferior stone - probably not even an authentic amethyst - which needed replacing. On my first visit, Zofia examined my ring and gave me an extremely fair estimate on the replacement/work. Within a couple of days, she called to ask if I would like to come in to see if the new stone was to my liking. I returned; it was gorgeous - far superior to the original stone, with great color/clarity, and beautifully cut/faceted. I enthusiastically approved; the ring was finished and ready for pick-up the next day. Zofia and Henry are not only experts at their craft, they are lovely people to do business with. I will happily return to them for any such future needs. I'm thrilled to have found them!
