Description of Work: Every year Hollub does and annual check up and everything has been fine. Tenants hear noises and call number on furnace. This year, the tech left the cover off the furnace, the panels out of their tracks and said, ran out of the home and said, the unit is too old to touch. | |Rep came out and wanted to rip out existing unit and replace theirs, never checking to see if the electric box could handle the new units. He answered it would be dealt with after the installation, if the device does not operate. They sent a text stating they handle the electrical needs, but could not give a price. | |They said they would have to chop down a tree to install AC. | |Long story short, I took the advise of another vendor, who had just installed another unit a few doors away. The electricity was compatible and I still have the beautiful tree. | |I paid Hollub, because the reviews state they are eager to put a hit on your credit. I sent them a copy of the texts and asked for a free check up, next season. Never heard from them again.

I CALLED HOLLUB TO GET ONE OF THE THREE ESTIMATES FOR A NEW THERMOSTAT FOR A CENTRAL BOILER IN OUR 6-FLAT CONDO BLDG. THE CO. PRESIDENT JOHN HOLLUB CALLED ME BACK IMMEDIATELY AND CAME OUT THE NEXT MORNING (SAT.!) HE GAVE ME INCREDIBLY DETAILED AND HELPFUL INFO ABOUT WHAT HE SUGGESTED AS SOLUTION FOR OUR LACK OF THERMOSTAT FOR OUR CENTRAL BOILER. HIS WORKMAN CAME ON TIME ON THE DATE WE SET UP AND PERFORMED THE WORK VERY EFFICIENTLY. HE ALSO EXPLAINED THE CONTROLS TO ME SO I COULD EXPLAIN TO OTHER APT. OWNERS. I FOUND THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE VERY HELPFUL AND WAS SO IMPRESSED BY THE SERVICE. I HAD TO ASK THE REP. TO COME OUT AGAIN ONCE RESET ONE CONTROL AND HE CAME PROMPTLY AND WAS VERY HELPFUL. THEIR PRICE WAS IN THE EXACT SAME RANGE AS THE OTHER TWO COMPANIES I INTERVIEWED, BUT THEY WERE MUCH MORE RESPONSIVE THAN THE OTHER TWO.
Description of Work: INSTALLATION OF A DIGITAL THERMOSTAT WITH TWO REMOTE SENSORS (ONE EA. IN TWO APTS. IN 6-FLAT CONDO BLDG) TO CONTROL TEMP. FOR A CENTRAL BOILER IN BASEMENT. THERMOSTAT TAKES INFO FROM HEAT SENSORS IN APTS. ON 1ST & 3RD FLOORS AND FROM OUTSIDE TEMP AND BOILER GOES ON AT SET TEMP. WHEN ALL DATA MATCH. SOUNDS COMPLEX BUT IS VERY EASY TO SET AND MAINTAIN (I HAVE NO PREV. EXPERIENCE)

QUICK RESPONSE ON ONE OF THE HOTTEST DAYS OF THE SUMMER AND A WEEKEND. MY PREGNANT WIFE WAS UNCOMFORTABLE. WE WERE HOSTING A PARTY THAT EVENING. PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS AND QUICKLY GOT TO THE SOURCE OF THE PROBLEM AND FIXED IT. TWO CONDO TENANTS HAD THEIR COOLANT REFILLED WHILE THEY WERE HERE. CHARGED THE WEEKEND RATE TO EACH OF US WHICH WAS SEEMED LIKE AN UNREASONABLE THING TO DO CONSIDERING THEY WERE ALREADY IN THE BUILDING. NO PROBLEMS SINCE.

THEY DID NOT SHOW UP FOR THE APPOINTMENT AFTER GIVING ME A TIME WINDOW. I HAD TO TAKE TIME OFF FROM WORK FOR THIS AND THEY NEVER SHOWED UP OR CALLED TO REARRANGE THE TIME.

SERVICE MAN ARRIVED ON TIME. FIXED THE A/C. IN ADDITION TO FIXING IT, PROVIDED TIPS ON HOW TO MAINTAIN, CHECK AND MONITOR THE A/C MOVING FORWARD (IE: HOSING OFF COILS OUTSIDE 2 X PER YEAR TO INCREASE EFFICIENCY OF AC). VERY HELPFUL, FRIENDLY, AND KNOWLEDGEABLE.
