Hardy Glass Block Panels

Everything went well except for the clean up. Pieces of the old frames and screws were left in the areas where they worked. I had to clean them myself.

All of the work done by Hardy was great. The work was done on time and at the cost that they estimated. I would definitely use this company again and suggest them to friends and family.

Everything was done on time and with care. Hardy was even willing to move up the appointment by a week when something opened up for them. It was clear that the work was done by someone who knew what they were doing and cared about the work. The job was done in one day. They were very professional and cleaned up when they were done with the job.

They arrived early. Completed the job in a timely fashion and were reasonably priced.

Jim came out to give me an estimate. On-time, pleasant and efficient. He explained that some older pre-fab windows used steel bands that could lead to the cracking we saw. He eyeballed the window size. The estimate came by eMail same evening. I accepted and set up time for installation. Brian and assistant Eric were early. No problem. Brian knocked out old window while Eric mixed the mortar. Brian got down in the window-well with a new window which was exactly the right size. In minutes, he was done. The new window was installed. The broken glass inside was cleaned up. I wrote the check and they were gone. Brian also pulled a couple big weeds that had been growing in the window-well. Nice guy. This took 45 minutes start to finish. When I watered the lawn that afternoon, there was no leakage.

I picked Hardy Glass Block Panels, Inc. from Angie's list due to its good reviews. I called for an estimate and got a prompt appointment. He came out , measured and gave me a verbal price. This was followed up the next morning by an email document outlining the details and specifics. I called and accepted the bid. We set a date for installation. They came out on the set date (in fact they were early!) They went straight to work. They replaced the old standard window with the glass block one. They also did a great job of cleaning up the installation area inside and outside of the garage. I am well satisfied with their work.

The Hardy Co. offered the lowest price of 3 proposals, completed the work promptly and cleaned up after themselves. All communication was timely and the staff was friendly.

Very smooth process from start to finish. Was able to set up an estimate for the work the day following my initial call. Formalized quote was provided to me via email the same day detailing the work needed and cost. Once committing to go with Hardy, after obtaining multiple quotes, setup the install date a week later. 2 man team showed up on time, completed the work within 2 hours and was very professional. Cleaned up all debris and material.

Caveat be sure you have your basement windows cleared/accessible from inside and out. They hadn't warned us about needing basement windows accessible from inside so I had to do some rush moving of things around... They were very nice about accomodating a vine outside one window. They were very efficient and professional about everything.

The estitmate process took place in a matter of two days. We agreed on a price and installation was scheduled on a Saturday so I didn't have to take off work.

The job was done in a professional manner and I was very pleased with the outcome.

Called for an estimate, and the next day, Bill Hardy emailed the estimate to us. We accepted the estimate, and, two days later, the windows were installed. The work was performed at my father's house, and he seemed very pleased with it.

The job was completed quickly and we are extremely satisfied with the results. Bryan found a way to remove the broken block without taking out the entire window, which would have damaged the interior sill. They were prompt and professional.

There was a coupon for the little opening panel in the glass block and they honored the coupon. I think it was like buy 5 and get one free or something like that. They were prompt, friendly and cleaned up the removal of the old windows. I was surprised as to how quickly they finished. At this particular point, the windows have been here for at least 6 months. The quality appears to be great. There's no air or seepage and I cannot complain. I would recommend them.

They are on time, have excellent service, and the glass they put in is very durable. I called them a year before they did the project for an estimate, and when I called back a year later they gave me that same estimate.

Bill Hardy called in response to my email though Angies List the next morning. He told us he would be by the next day to give us an estimate. He came after phoning in the pouring rain and measured the window and gave us a price. He emailed a written proposal later that same day. The next morning we scheduled installation for the following Tuesday,(yesterday). Unfortunately , it was raining again,but, Bill was on the ball and immediately rescheduled due to weather conditions. Today the rain stopped and Bill phoned and asked if it were okay to come by and put the window in. His installer Brian came by and put the window in. He did a great job and I am so happy I had it done. I like the privacy and security feature of glass block. This is a well run company and evidently they make customer service and satisfaction their top priority.

Out of three companies Hardy was the one with the best estimate and we didn't even need to be home for them to measure the windows. The very same day we received an email with the estimate, when we called to confirm the set up of the job they were very professional and polite. The day of the job they were on time and everything went smoothly. Brian and Joe are very professional. They completed the job quickly and they were done by early afternoon.

Hardy provided a good quality product and installation by Brian. Cost was just a little more than their Indiana competition, but I felt that we received better service when we visited the Hardy showroom.The installers showed up on time and cleaned up after themselves. My only disappointment was that they did not take the old windows with, but put them in our trash instead. No big deal.

I've used Hardy in my three previous homes and they have always been great. Their pricing is competitive, the sales rep Jim is very responsive and professional - and the lead installer, Brian, does a very high quality, professional job. This particular job went quickly and smoothly as well. I routinely get several quotes just to be sure, but so far keep coming back to Hardy. For quality glass block, it pays to go with the guys who do it day-in, day-out year after year. Recommend them highly.

From the time I called Hardy glass block for a quote thru the installation of the four windows. I cannot express how please I am with the service and the price. I had quotes from other local "window" installation companies and they were twice the cost. I most high recommend Hardy Glass Block for any glass block windows.

The person who came out for the estimate was very thorough. Our lot line is up against a neighbor's garden and the estimator told us that they would be as careful as possible but couldn't guarantee that a few plants wouldn't be damaged - unlike another company that came out for an estimate. The installation people were very careful and very little damage was done. The neighbor and I were both pleased with the result. They cleaned up after themselves, hauling trash to the alley and sweeping the sidewalk as well as cleaning the interior. We would use them again.

I always compare 3 contractors prices before hiring and this company had the best prices. Their service was very good and one of the glass blocks broke after the job was done but they came and fixed it for me, no questions asked. The sales person and the installer were both great, I was very happy with their service.

We had that done for security, sound proofing because my husband is a drummer and the basement is his music stereo and we wanted light. They were very affordable and we paid them $950 for four basement glass block windows. Two of them had vents in them and two were just solid. They were great and on time. It is a small company and is located in Chicago and we found them to be very efficient and friendly. They were awesome and they have been great. We were looking at getting some more glass blocks and we would probably go with them. We would tell others that their work was excellent and professional. It work seemed to be very easy, no stress and they made it clear what the job was going to be and what it was going to cause. The estimate was exactly what we paid and there were no surprises.

Jim was great. He provided a quote within 2 days and returned all followup phone calls in a timely manner. Though we did not get the work done this time, we anticipate using him if the need arises in the future.
