Hardy Glass Block Panels

Highly recommend if you need glass block work. Estimate done quickly and in a professional manner. Even pointed out a problem he saw on side of my house I was not aware of. Work done on time and thoroughly. Was worried because never used this company, but believe me you have nothing to worry about. Neat and perfect repairs and installation. Couldn't be happier. The best in my book.

Note that no services were provided by Hardy but Bill consulted me based on pix and videos that I provided. Based on his findings, he advised that work was not needed at this time. His responsiveness and proposal was very professional. If and when I require this type of service, I will contact Hardy without hesitation

The short answer was that this company does a great job. I called June 30, the next day they were out for an estimate and measurements. They called me with an incredible price, and I asked if they could come back to do the job Monday, July 6. They said "sure," and were there at exactly the time the said they would be. Truly, it was one of the easiest jobs I've had done at the house in years. No problems, no delays or excuses. Just a fantastic job done exactly as we agreed. Two men came out at 8:30am and quickly got to the work of pulling out the old windows. It was a little harder than they expected but there was never any complaints or talk of more money. It's an old house that's built way beyond the standard of today's homes. There were metal flanges set into the cement that made pulling the casement windows a real pain. But they got it. They showed up with the windows already built - sized perfectly just from the quick visit of the first guy - they smoothed out the cement ledges of the foundation, set the windows in and did a beautiful job with the grout. They cleaned up afterwards even though it was quite a mess getting the windows out in the first place with cement pieces and glass everywhere. they were pretty conscious of the bushes and grass outside and did the best they could with everything in the basement. They moved the dryer and covered it with cardboard so nothing scratched the finish. There was a little mess leftover here and there but nothing I was upset about. Given that they spent over twice the time estimated on the job in 90 degree heat, I was happy with all the clean up they did do. It was a fantastic job overall. The boss even showed up in the middle to check on the progress and to make sure I was satisfied. Basically six beautiful glass block windows in about 6 hours... Couldn't be happier with the job and the price, which was much lower than anyone else was offering. If you need windows, you should hire these guys.

Hardy is a great company with very professional installers. I got a quote and recommendation the same day I contacted them. The quote was exactly what I was charged after the install. Two young, experienced, polite, and professional guys came for the install at the exact appointment time. They were done fairly quickly. The window with vent looks great. I now wish I had done this many years ago. It is 100% more secure than the old window, allows in more light too (I went with the diamond window recommended to me my the quoter), and now I have the option of letting fresh air into my furnace room without fear of animals coming in. The window itself is far superior to those you will find in the big box stores like Home Depot, Menards, etc. I won't hesitate to use Hardy again. I give my unqualified recommendation to Hardy Glass to all those who need new glass block windows.

Jim emailed me back with an estimate the next day after I had called. They were very professional, cleaned up after themselves. Would not hesitate to use again. Windows look beautiful.

They arrived on time, and removed the five old windows, cleaning up as they went. The new windows were quickly installed, (measurements had been taken a few days earlier), and again cleaned up as they went. Windows are beautiful, well made and well fitted, and the vents are good quality as well. Total time for removal and installation was around three hours, two guys working. I would definitely use them again, (not that I am planning to move again anytime soon!), but will certainly recommend them if any of my neighbors ask about the windows.

Came out to do the job but had the wrong glass piece had to reschedule the work was good

I was very impressed with every aspect of their work. When I started getting estimates I was shocked at the cost (Horan Glass Block: $1,375; ACB Masonry $2,952 for the same work). Hardy Glass was my last estimate and they were punctual and friendly. They were not a hard sell and were not pushy, they didn't try to put down other window companies to make themselves look good. [This is always a key thing for me, as soon as someone starts knocking down their competition to make themselves feel bigger, I'm tuning them out and hoping their estimate is way too much]. I paid 1/3 down to get the work going and they were able to schedule the work within two weeks. The guy (James?) came out and did most if not all of the work from the outside of the house. He made quick work of our rotting, wooden windows (original to 1930's house) and finished everything in an afternoon. The guy was top notch, the work was fantastic, they were super clean and the price was a great value. I have no complaints about these guys. And now my house is more secure (anyone could break in through those terrible, original windows), they look great and it's a lot warmer in our basement as well. I almost didn't call them because they were in the City and I didn't think it would be worth their trouble to travel out to the suburbs, but I sure am glad that I did.

They came out quickly and gave me an estimate to replace glass block on a garage. The estimate seemed to be a fair price.

James was my contact person from Hardy windows and he was fantastic! We set a time and date for the appointment and he was there on time. We discussed several options and some other work we wanted done, but due to financial constraints we just had the basement window done. They sent a 2 man crew and had the old window out and the the new window put in extremely quickly! They cleaned up after themselves and we were very happy with the service. I know that this review seems very short but the whole process was very simple. The crew was professional and you could see that they were experienced because they worked so quickly! I would highly recommend Hardy glass Block panels to my friends or family. They do great work and are great to work with!

This is the second time I have used Hardy Glass Block's services. My wife is handling the estate of a relative in Brookfield and we needed to have the basement windows replaced on a 1950's bungalow. They were able to schedule the work promptly and the install went smoothly with a slight delay due to a heavy downpour. The basement looked 10 time better and the house sold promptly. Both the new buyer and the listing agent commented on how nice the basement windows looked. I will be using them for my mother-in-laws house soon.

Installation completed by Dan L., phoned prior to arriving, very courteous, completed work in a timely manner, great attention to detail & work area cleaned once completed. Absolutely great !! From the first phone call to the final payment took less than ten days. No complaints at all. Brian was professional and friendly. The work took less than two hours and when they were finished, except for the new windows it looked like they had never been there. Both inside and out.

The experience was tremendous. The estimate and initial site viewing was done while we were out of town and the estimator used only the exterior dimensions for calculating the windows. The process form request through estimate and installation was wonderful. All work was completed and the crew cleaned up in an efficient and professional manner. I would definitely use Hardy Glass Block again.

They certainly were the most economical among the companies I contacted. They were personable and had great products. They were quick with the installation. It has only been a couple of weeks ago but the item seems to be of good quality.

Crew showed up in time specified, did the job professionally, cleaned up after...I had one window installed, I got 3 quotes and Hardy's was by far the best deal.

The job went extremely well. The windows being replaced were fitted over an older window frame. They did not know this until they removed the old windows (and there was no way for them to have known this until the old windows were disassembled). ' Once the old windows were removed it was necessary to do MAJOR work to remove the cement that was holding the metal frames from the original windows from the 1950's. They were very upfront and honest about the fact that the labor effort would take an additional 8 hours (with two people) and that they would have to increase the price. They were very fair and the cost was only an additional $175.00 for something that was completely out of their control and that took an additional 16 man hours to do the job correctly. The windows are in and they look great. The workers were very professional. I have recommended Hardy Glass Block to two friends so far and will use them on any future occasions.

The workers arrived on time. One guy was taking out the windows and the other guy was mixing cement. the next thing you knoe the windows were installed.They cleaned up when they were done. The windows are beautiful. the cement work around the windows is perfect. My finished basement is much brighter with these new windows. I would recommend in a heartbeat. Nice job.

The initial visit and estimate went fine. They cancelled the first installment date due to rain, and it really rained, so that was fine with me. The next date was today -- supposedly at 9:30 or 10:00. I received a call from Hardy the night before giving me the arrival time. However, the workmen showed up before 8:00 and I wasn't home. I was out walking my dog. I was in no hurry since I was expecting them at 9:30 the earliest. Fortunately I saw them parked in the driveway and they saw me before they drove away. Once the work got started, everything went fine. They were quick, efficient, neat, and did a great job. My windows look great.

The process from first call to final result went very smoothly. The windows look great.

Installer called on the day of the job, told me he was going to be three hours late because he had to finish a job he could not finish the day before, due to heavy rain. It was still raining, so we mutually agreed to postpone the job until the next week. On the following Monday, Bryan and his helper Matt arrived on time and went straight to work. Within three or four hours, they removed the old windows and installed all four new glass block windows. Two surprises: 1. they keep the old wood frame of the old windows, though I thought they should come out. Bryan strongly recommended we keep them and I'm glad we did. It looks much more finished on the inside. 2. One of the basement windows has two dryer vents in it. They left new sleeves for my two dryer hoses but they said they cannot hook them up the same day. I was told it would be simple to slide the vent onto the sleeves. Well, the next day I tried, but without duct tape and some perseverance, they would not be hooked up. I wish I had known they were not going to reconnect the vents when the new windows went in. But that's it: overall, very quick and professional, friendly, and timely.
