Description of Work: This company is fantastic, I spent over a year looking for my countertop and was very disappointed in how other companies do countertops. We wanted a quartz countertop and wanted the silestone halley design that was very expensive when getting quotes from other companies. Because of the size of our countertop we needed a jumbo slab. Granite Design were willing to work with us, which other companies were like "no" we don't do that and if you want it, it will cost more money. No one would do it in 1 piece without charging an arm and a leg and no guarantee that they could do it in 1 piece. No box store could or would do what we needed. So my husband said why don't you use Angie's list so I did and boy my search was over. I contacted Granite Design with an email about getting some quotes and giving them a drawing with dimenions of our kitchen countertop. The next morning I had an email from them with all my quotes. There response time is very quick, I got responses with any questions very fast and I basically did everything through email, we never had to go to their store, we already knew what we wanted. When we decided which quote to go with, he promptly sent someone out to take final measurements, which went very smoothly. We actually were going with a different countertop because I thought that the one I wanted was to expensive until the guy that came out convinced me to get a quote on the countertop we both wanted to see if we could afford it. He quoted it and it was within our budget and we got the countertop we wanted and the price we could afford and in 1 piece:). The crew that came out were very professional and had the job done very quickly and cleaned up. Just when I thought this company was to good to be true, I was told that if I paid in cash that I would get a 10% discount which I did and that helped greatly. From start to finish the whole job was the best experience ever. I recommend this company very highly and you won't regret it. I wish that more companies were run as well as this one. Description of Work: After obtaining multiple bids for a granite countertop in our main bath, I went with Granite Design of Midwest. They were friendly, punctual, very affordable, and just a joy to work with. I went to their showroom and picked out the granite I had in mind, set up a date for installation, and all went as planned. They are professional and courteous, from the office staff to the installation crew. I would work with them again in the future, definitely.

Description of Work: Miscommunication is a HUGE problem. When I spoke with the owner on the phone, he was quite surly and did not want to listen to any criticism of his employee. In fact, the owner actually told me he didn't want my business and hung up on me! Very, very rude and an extremely poor way to do business.

Description of Work: This was a great experience from beginning to end. We can’t say enough about Bart and his crew. We got a very quick response from our very first inquiry. We had picked out a couple of slabs at a granite house recommended by Bart, but when the granite came to his shop he was worried about it because it had too many fissures and he was afraid it would break when they were cutting. We felt this was a very responsible move on his part. He sent us to another supplier to pick out another slab. We went immediately and Bart met us there the very next day to do the layout, preventing us having to go to his shop again -- and there was no delay in the projected install date because both of us acted expeditiously. I had lots of questions and e-mailed Bart often. He was always prompt in replying -it’s like you are his only customer. No question is too small. They also did a little something extra for us at no additional cost. We had a minor problem after the install. We e-mailed Bart and no questions asked he sent someone out the very next morning. The problem was fixed and we are very, very pleased. If you are looking for a responsible, experienced granite fabricator, go no further. We might add the plumber/carpenter/all around handy man, Eric they recommended was also very competent and helpful. Use them – you will not be disappointed.
