Well this is how it went for me 6/19/2018 I called because there is no cool anything. And a customer service lady said "The representative said that he charged $480.00 and the unit was leaking." The man wrote a lie why would I buy freon only to have it leak out. I hate this company. I feel like a robbed senior citizen. It's no enough that I'm a high risk patient. This is how some business prey on the elderly. He suck. If he would have said that to me I would have kicked him out of my house. A lying dog. Today I found out the truth I was conned.

8 days ago (June 6), I had given Four Seasons a review that was quite negative. Feel free to read that review (6-6-2018) for more details. This review is to praise them for the way they handled my complaint. 1. Their Customer Service group reached out to me to understand the details of the "negative" review that I had posted. They listened t my narrative, they were polite & understanding. 2. We set up another appointment through this Customer Service group. 3. I'm impressed with the Customer Service group. Everything went well. 4. I'll continue to use Four Seasons for my annual Furnace & A/C checks.

January 2017 my boiler went out, I called them, they sent out a guy and told me there wasn’t anything he could do. So the following day I talked to a sales person and then they sent out two guys to install around 1PM. 6AM the following morning they had it installed. March of the same year I had them install ductless AC for me. A sales guy came out, planned locations and unit sizes. After that a couple days later a installer came buy to okay the locations and unit sizes. About a week later two installers came buy and installed the AC. For the plumbing part I had a leaking pipe on the second floor, they sent out a guy the following day that I called. When the guy came out he found the problem, made a hole in the wall, updated the price and repaired the hole in the pipe. The plumber kind of rushed b/c I think he lived in the burbs and didnt want to stay long and go home. The second time I used their plumbing service I was looking to get a bathtub installed. They sent a guy out, he looked at it, said the wall needed to be extended, quoted me $900, gave me a pen for his remodelling company and left. Needless to say, I installed the tub myself and didn’t need to extend the wall.

Over the last 4 years we have purchased from Four Seasons both a new furnace and air conditioning unit. We have had both units cleaned and checked by Four Seasons faithfully every year. We went with Four Seasons because they advertise that there is no charge for the 24 hour emergency service they have. They had just been here four days ago to clean and check the air conditioner. Tonight (Saturday) on a holiday weekend the air conditioner stopped working (of course in the middle of a heat wave). I called and spoke to Mary. She said the first time someone could come out would be Tuesday afternoon. I told her how disappointed I was with Four Seasons and their "emergency service" and she replied "We don't control the weather". After being a good customer and receiving zero help in our time of need it is obvious they do not stand behind their product or their advertising claims. Don't bother giving them your business.

We called based on an advertisement received (which is still being advertised today) of a Lennox furnace and A/C from $3695.00. When the installer pointed out that we would benefit from replacing the air with the furnace we asked what the total package price would be and can the A/C unit be installed in the spring. He then called the office and quoted us a price of 4475.00. This we assumed was the “deal price” as that is what we asked for. He then told us that a new itemized contract would be sent for our review which we never received. We received a phone call that they were on their way to install on a date we never requested or were contacted about. We were not at home and rescheduled for Saturday stating we needed 8AM as we had another commitment we needed to leave by 2PM to keep. We were told that was fine, but the office called back to confirm an 11AM time. We again stated we needed 8 am and again were told it was not a problem. The crew arrived after 9:30 and we had to call and move our taxes appointment as the job was not complete by 2PM due to missing parts. When the contract was presented in the amount of $4475.00 (which contains only the model# and cost. Definitely not itemized) we assumed that was the full package price as that is how it was presented to us in November. Therefore we deducted the November payment and paid the difference of $1425.00. We then receive a call back from someone in customer service telling us that we apparently do not understand contracts and that they will come remove the equipment if we do not pay the balance. The end of this hostile conversation ended with him saying he was going to forward our account to an executive customer service representative. I went on line today to Lennox and found that the package we received is the lowest they offer so the total of $4475.00 makes sense. We do not understand how the base offering for an average size home of 1986 square feet would be increased from the starting at price of $3695.00 to $7035.00. This feels like total deception and contract entrapment. We went with Four Seasons because we wanted someone reputable and to avoid being ripped off. Had the itemized contract been received as promised and indicated the total advertised package would be about twice the advertised price we would not have replaced a working air conditioning unit. LET THE BUYER BEWARE! Please do not allow any work to be done until you have all the information and a detailed estimate. They sent our information to the review board and the end result is that we pay the remainder for the full price of $4475.00 for the air conditioner or they will send someone to remove the equipment and refund us the $1425.00 to our credit card.

Had my older furnace inspected/cleaned, was working fine but we're about to sell our home and wanted everything in tip-top condition. After 7 min of "inspecting" the technician told me that I needed a brand new furnace due to a cracked heater exchange. He then told me he had to shut down my furnace "by law" and wouldn't recommend turning it back on unless I didn't care about carbon monoxide poisoning or fire. He assured me that the company would be happy to help us out with an emergency installation of a new furnace. I immediately goggled 'cracked heater exchange' and learned of all the scams that companies run so I scheduled a second opinion with another heater technician and guess what: after a 2 hour inspection with proper equipment, no cracks in heater exchange. My older furnace has several years left in her. After a long phone call to complain about this problem, where I felt an extremely manipulative and sexist vibe from one of their managers, I was finally able to resolve my dispute and get a refund for their initial faulty inspection and my second opinion. Ridiculous and needless headaches and stress.

We replaced our HVAC and had some return duct work and a whole house humidifier installed. TL:DR: Customer service talks nice but it took claws and gnashing of teeth and my own follow-up to fix their own mistakes. If you have a ComEd/Nicor rebate to submit? Good luck, you'll have to do all the leg work even begging for a PAID receipt. Did I pay too much? They said "the quality of the work and follow-up service" as reasons why they "don't alter their prices." I see a Lennox Furnace & AC combo for $3695 advertised on their website. But you can read below for more details. They told me it was a "whole day job" and that it was going to be 12-14h or longer maybe. Try 23h, 15m, and the guy left my basement a mess with dirt and dust and unfinished work! I cranked up the furnace to 78 before they shut everything off and it was 46 the next morning when he got the heat on. I felt uncomfortable with my wife having to stay awake in the middle of the night with two men in the basement and the door open (as they were going in and out). He left a leaking water line hidden above the vents, I was so shocked to see a puddle of water in my basement! I also felt a draft coming from AC line through the brick wall, noticed that the cement work was not patched up properly. Also. saw ComEd wires hanging loose, told "I'd have to call ComEd" myself. Anyway, it took THREE more different visits (on my days off annoyingly enough since I work 12h shifts) to fix everything. Actually the second guy (after coming 30min late after their three-hour window) spent EIGHT hours in my house. They had to run new wire to my thermostat and completely rewire the furnace. Four Seasons sold me a two- stage furnace but the original installer only wired it to be one-stage. They also went back and forth between "we don't have the materials for the job" to "we can just do it now." If that doesn't make you feel apprehensive, I don't know what would! Anyway, I've got more but this is getting long enough, but you have to know that you have to call call call call call to get your work done right. And ask many questions because they're not specifically forthcoming about what work they did -- if you call customer service they talk nice customer service but the technicians aren't the same way. After these four visits everything is running and above issues are resolved (and more that I didn't bother to write in right now), but I'm scared for June to come to turn on my AC and find something else wrong. After spending nearly $9k on something that's supposed to last 15-25y I am really unsure if it was done right. They gave me extended warranties (again after many calls and wrong documents being given to me) so that kinda softens the blow. But you have to ask yourself before that after paying this much is feeling unsure and robbed the feeling you want for a company providing service to such a vital part of your home. AngiesList makes me select: Will you hire again, I put yes because in order to keep my warranty I have to have Four Seasons and Four Seasons alone to do the work.

UPDATED (03/21/2018) I have used Four Seasons many times before on my own condo and my rental properties. on 1/23/18 the heat went out on one of my rental properties and I called Four Seasons. Tech Briton came out and basically said that the cost of materials changes many times through out the day which is a complete lie. He tried to scare her into thinking that the furnace was going to blow up and kill her and her two kids. Tried to sell her a part that cost at most $125 for $545 and then asked for an additional $166 to put the part in after we had paid $85 for the service call. I realised that he was trying to take advantage of my African American tenant who is older. I politely declined the offer and asked if someone else from Four Seasons could follow up with me the next day. Never heard a word from them. I called House of Heat in Oak Park the next afternoon and they came out and fixed the furnace for $92.50. I used to rave about Four Seasons but after this experience I will never say a good thing about them or recommend them to anyone. After complaining to Four Seasons Heating and Air Conditioning about the issues I was contacted by Sheri one of the customer service reps who had read the review. We discussed the whole situation and the quote the tech had given to do the work. The $166 additional charge was in fact an error on his part which she appoligized about. They refunded the amount paid in full, gave me a free A/C unit cleaning and offered to give me another quote on other work free of Charge. I was very happy with the resolution and the fact that she owned up to the fact that the tech had made a mistake.

Our furnace was not cycling correctly, so we called Four Seasons, who sent out a technician pretty promptly. The tech said that the furnace needed about $1300 in repairs. We had been thinking about getting a new furnace anyway, so we agreed to buy it from Four Seasons. The furnace installers that they sent were the least competent workmen we have ever had in over 25 years of home ownership. They arrived at 2 p.m. and left at 1 O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING without being able to install the furnace successfully. This should have been a simple job: replace the furnace in our townhome. It took them 2 1/2 hours just to remove the old furnace. So, we had no heat overnight. Four Seasons sent a tech at 2 p.m. the next day (Thanksgiving). He was able to fix the installation error that had kept the new furnace from operating. The new furnace (a Lenox) has always been somewhat louder than it should be. The noise has grown and is now so intolerable that I am going to have to call someone to try to mitigate it.

I called Four Seasons in the late morning because my new furnace was making loud buzzing noises. The technician (Matt) arrive around noon and worked for 1.5 hours to fix the problem. He explained how faulty installation (by Four Seasons) had caused the noise: the ductwork was not properly attached to the furnace. No charge. I would not buy another furnace from Four Seasons because the installation process was so terrible, but their service technicians are very good, so they can be trusted for repairs.

Woke up to no heat, furnace blowing cold air. Called Four Seasons (sticker was on furnace). They came out within 2 hours. Rueben, the tech was very professional, and told me limit switch was bad and the bad news is that it is $545 to replace. Knowing a little about home remodeling I thought this was super high. Called around while tech was there and got confirmation that it was very high. Told the tech that I was going to pay the diagnostic fee of $85 and do the repair myself. Again, tech was great! Part was $50(retail) and it was as simple as removing 2 screws. Once I got the part from Downers Grove it took less than 5 minutes to replace. $545 for 5 minutes of work is robbery. I'm sure lots of people would have said just go ahead and replace it. This should have been a $200-$250 replacement. They could have had a customer for life. Stickers are no longer on the furnaces.

This company is disgusting. Takes advantage of people in need. We were told we needed various parts for our furnace and were charged up the wazoo. A week later our furnace broke. Four Seasons told us the furnace needed to be replaced for $5700. We got a second opinion and were told the original repair was unnecessary. We were also quoted half the price to replace our furnace, but in the end, only needed a minor part fixed. I called Four Seasons to complain and they had the audacity of trying to charge us for the second visit out to 'fix' our furnace. The person I spoke to on the phone argued and spoke over me. Call Four Seasons if you want unnecessary parts for your furnace at 2x the cost and still have a broken furnace!

The thermostat that was installed contained a remote sensor located in a tenant's apartment. The thermostat was not reading the temperature on the sensor so the apartments in the building were not heating correctly. Four Seasons replaced the sensor twice and the thermostat twice without charge and then upgraded me to a more expensive model free of charge. I've used Four Seasons for many years and they stand behind their work. I can't imagine using any other company.

My home needs a new Furnace/AC so I called a few companies that specialize in that. I called Four Seasons for a quote since they advertise '0% APR finance for 5 years'...thought to myself that is not a bad since other companies were only giving for either 12, 18 or 24 months. Salesman came in and quoted me $7000 for new Furnace/AC in which he stated that AC has to be installed when the furnace will be installed (reminder, this is winter season when other companies stated they will need to come back to install AC). I asked him 'Will the AC work since you are installing it in the winter'? He said 'we have to install when we install the furnace we wont come back to do the AC' - That was Red Flag. I asked him 'Does your company offer a yearly maintenance discount since I am installing a brand new AC/Furnace with you'? Salesman response - 'No, but you can pick any company you want to inspect/tune up your furnace does not have to Four Seasons' - That was another Red Flag - who does not offer a maintenance program/tune up especially if that is what you do as well. The salesman quoted me a price of $7K and said 'Oh wait, did you want to finance this for 5 years?' - I said yes, you are offering 0% APR for 5 years'. He said that is correct BUT we will need to charge 20% to the sales price so you will be paying back a total of $8400 for 5 years since you are financing. That was the FINAL RED FLAG. I do not know if he thought I was DUMB or STUPID but to me that is not 0% Financing when you add on 20% more to the price you quoted me for a new Furnace/AC and call it a 0% APR Financing for 5 years. Will HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT TO INSTALL A NEW FURNACE/AC.

It went horribly. While the diagnosis of the problem and parts needing replacement was accurate the price was absolutely ridiculous. Over $2000 quoted for a job another company did for just under $300. I verified the parts cost was barely over $100, and it was less than a 2 hours work for the other company. Ironically, the quote Four Season's gave me didn't even include $25 off for the coupon I had on a Four Season's magnet on my boiler. The other company honored it and knocked $25 off their price. This is a real shame. I had been using Four Seasons for years for my basic annual maintenance and they had come out and done basic repairs before for what seemed to be reasonable prices. However, in the last two years, this has changed. I needed a hot water heater replaced that completely stopped working and wanted it done as fast as possible. Four Seasons came out and did that job for $1700 for a 75 gallon heater. I didn't shop around because I thought I could trust them. I later learned that this price was high compared to what friends and neighbors had paid for similar work. I shook that off and thought maybe there was something unique with my install (which thinking back, was not likely, they were in and out in a couple hours). However, this last situation proved it, they are really slamming their customers with high prices. They had shipped parts out for the job as well and I had them take them back when I cancelled it. They actually shipped the parts out again for some reason and we refused the shipment from the driver - he actually said it was the 4th time it had happened recently that parts were refused for jobs for Four Seasons that he was shipping. He said each customer cancelled the work and said the prices were crazy. I have learned my lesson and will never interact with this company again. Maybe they have grown to big and have to do this to pay for all their advertising and overhead to stay in business. If I just trusted them I may have put up a positive review not knowing the price was so dishonest. I would be mindful of the other reviews that may be from people not knowing they were just taken for a lot of extra money. The amount I did pay was $85 for the initial visit. On the negative side, I am considering that money I paid to be blatantly lied to by a disreputable company. On the positive side, I am considering that my payment to learn to stay far as far away from this company as possible and to warn all my friends and neighbors of the same.

The tech said the furnace needed a new high limit switch. The price was going to be $85 service call + $105 labor + $545 part = $735. I looked up this $545 switch online and the real price was $15. I asked to talk to the service manager and he had no explanation, apology, or reduction in price. I just paid the $85 service call and went to find someone else. I should add that this was with 0 degrees F outside, which is probably why they thought they could rob me. I should add that All-Temp did the same job the next day for $196 instead of $735.

My heat wasn’t working so I contacted Four Seasons. I had just moved into my house and didn’t realize all the ducts weren’t working plus my Honeywell thermostat was hard to turn on and program the temp I wanted. I declined to get a new thermostat installed for $300.00 and ended up only paying for the $89.95 service call.

Tech came out for service call. He hooked up the gauges and confirmed that the AC system was low on freon. Told me I had to pay for a leak repair package to be done on another day and quoted me $1,600 just to find the leak. They would not use a dye, because they did not install the system. The cost of the needed repair and the recharge of the system would be extra. All in all it could run about $3k to $4k, but with some of the lines buried in walls there is no guarantee they will find the leak, so I should just get a whole new system for about $5k. His "advice" cost me $75 for the service call.

It all went very well. No pressure to replace the furnace, but their evaluation made good sense. The city permit was rejected for 2 errors. Errors were not 4 Seasons fault, they were errors from original construction not being up to code. They corrected at no cost to me.
Description of Work: Called them for HVAC evaluation & tune up. Ended up replacing the furnace. Old one was 18 years old and never serviced by professional.

They were very slipshod; it was really weird. They had somebody come out quickly and threw the price at you. They didn't follow up, then they figured they were going to install it; it was a big, big mess. The guy didn't get back with me. Nothing was set in place. Suddenly they show up at the door of my tenant ready to install the thing. I said, "wait a minute here, you never got back to me with the pricing and all that stuff." So it was really nasty. They were one of the first ones I called. They were charging less, but they were giving a far more inferior product. They didn't really care what they were doing. They didn't have as much to offer; they didn't have the best system to put in there. The price was good, but it was for garbage. It was a good price for what they were giving me. It wasn't a good situation.Their responsiveness was just horrible. They were there on time; they shouldn't have even shown up. They were there on time but they didn't follow through and confirm that everything was in place and get back to me with a price or anything. They were there because we had talked about dates for them to come out and the guy was supposed to get back to me with specifics and everything and follow up. He never did. He got lost and then suddenly he thought he was going to show up at the door. It was a long day.

Disastrously. Before checking our radiators, their technician drained all the water from our heating system. Then, only after he replaced the pump, did he realize that five of our old-fashioned radiators do not have bleed valves. Without a way to bleed the air, he shrugged, they won't get hot. So that left two of our bedrooms, a bathroom, and two other rooms completely without heat. I called Four Seasons immediately after he left for a clarification or explanation. It took two more messages and a week without heat for them to send someone competent out to assess the situation. That technician said that the radiators could easily be fixed by tapping new bleed valves into the old radiators. He also confirmed that the first technician could have closed valves on the boiler to change the pump without draining all the water, so this situation was an unforced error. He then said that Four Seasons would be in touch the next day. They weren't. In fact, we haven't heard anything from them. They only thing they have had time to do is cash our check for $1,217 for the initial visit that caused this problem.
