The boiler was installed November 7th by a 2-man crew. Install took over 8 hours. A leak was discovered in one of the pipes connected to the boiler (not their fault/responsibility: unrelated to the install). Four Seasons came back to repair the leak (Nov 13). Their workers caused secondary damage to the walls unrelated to the repairs. I had to argue on the phone for a bit to get a reduction in the cost of the repair, since I now needed a handyman to come repair the drywall they damaged. The technician who refilled the boiler after the repaired leak had trouble getting the boiler to heat water past 130° F -- he said it should be going as high as 190 °F. After several hours he determined that the install was improperly done: it was missing a part. Specifically, an outdoor temperature reset probe. The manufacturer's manual indicates this part is not optional and is provided with the unit. Now suspicious of what else went wrong, I read the entirety of the manufacturer's manual. It appears they installed the wrong type of boiler for the surface (inside the attic). The boiler is not certified for installation on combustible flooring (wood). The manufacturer does provide a special base that is 4" thick and made of hollow concrete block and galvanized steel. This part was not installed. As installed the boiler poses a fire hazard, is not up to code, and will not be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Four seasons called me the following morning (Nov 14) and quoted me $1,300 for the installation of the part they failed to install. I told them this was unacceptable. They spoke with managers and came back and told me they would be installing it free of charge, but they needed to order the part. When asked about the combustible flooring they told me to take it up with the technician when he's on site. I was promised a call (by Priscilla) the following morning on Thursday, Nov 15 with a status update on the part. Thursday morning came and went with no call. I called Four Seasons at 5 PM on Nov 15th and spoke to a different representative (Matt, I believe). He checked and said the part had been ordered and was being shipped overnight from the manufacturer and was scheduled for delivery at 9 AM on Friday, Nov 16th. He said I would be getting a call on Friday to schedule the install. Friday came and went with no call. I received no call over the subsequent weekend either (didn't expect to really). Monday (Nov 19) morning I call and speak to Priscilla again. She tells me they haven't ordered the part yet and it would take 5 business days to get it from the manufacturer. She had no explanation for the conflicting stories. I'm using all channels to recover money from the installation fees to use to pay another provider to complete the install.

Technician came out to one of my apartment buildings to diagnose why the thermostat was not registering the temperature that was programmed. He wasn't able to determine why this was happening so a supervisor came out and diagnosed the problem and got the program to work. They were there two hours at night with no extra charge for overtime! I was glad that they got it working so my tenants had enough heat. I've used them for years and are very impressed with their customer service.

It went very well, the Tech Miguel Anaya was professional and considerate. He called to let us know when he would arrive and called us again when he became stuck in traffic. We appreciate that he immediately put on the shoe covers and informed us of what he was doing and why. Additionally he provided us with information that would improve the air quality in our home. We did not hire. The plumber wasn't interested in providing a economical solution. Was going to charge extremely high amounts for basic work. We had an emergency situation. I feel this was being viewed as an opportunity to take advantage of us.

The guy gave a dishonest quote. If you get a quote from them, make sure you're getting what they say you are. Just Google the model #to make sure it's as good as they say it is (energy efficient, etc). Plus he said there was a ComEd discount but there wasn't; I think they just bumped up the price by that much and then gave a fake discount.

Install went well. Took a good 12 hours of work. Issue has been we have intermittent whistling and had service people come out twice and they blame it on ducting of the house. Nice to blame something that they didn't install. If that's true though, seems that they did something wrong with either install or equipment because it wasn't there before. Also, salesman said new AC would cool entire house but it hasn't. Last service person said there is no way that it would. So, the salesman lied to us. Very frustrating after spending so much money. If money was no object, we would replace the whole system today. Or, we wouldn't have replaced the old system that was working fine until some other repair person told us that the old system was ready to go bad. All in all, we think two different companies have lied to us. Both big companies in the area.

The air conditioning unit and furnace of a newly purchased condo needed servicing. The technician called in advance of the appointment to confirm time and arrived promptly. Extremely professional, did not try to up sell and offered excellent suggestions on preventative maintenance. Will definately call them again for spring AC check.

In early August 2018 the sewer backed up and we had sewage in the basement. We contacted Four Seasons to inspect our flood backup system and tell us why it didn’t work. They charged us $3K and worked on it on 8/14, and when they left they told us the system was working perfectly. We had the basement cleaned and sanitized with another company which cost nearly $3.5K. Then on 8/20 — SIX DAYS LATER — the very next time it rained, the flood back up system that they said they repaired failed and the sewer backed up again and we had 5” OF SEWAGE WATER IN THE BASEMENT. They said it wasn’t their fault or responsibility and not only did they refuse to clean up the sewage, they also told us they would be happy to help us out again by opening a new work order, with a new job charge to us! When they kept me on hold for over ½ hour, I noticed that their recorded message says how important their customers health are safety are! Could not be further from the truth! They left us with the same problem we called them with — a basement full of sewage — but had no problem taking thousands of dollars from us.

We are upset to read such a horrible review of your services Ms. [Member Name Removed]. You hired our company on 08/13 to replace an old and failed ejector pump in your existing flood control system located on your property due to your basement previously flooding. We also provided jetting services to clean the sewer line as well. This was a large job for us as well as a large expense for you. When the work was completed on 08/14, the system we installed was tested several times and operating properly as designed. Six days later, you called our company at 9:20pm because of sewage backing up in your basement. We immediately responded to the emergency to insure yours and your family's safety not even an hour later at 10:17pm. Once on-site, it was determined that the outlet the ejector pump was plugged into had failed. Even though the system was installed six days prior and operating per manufacturer's specifications when the job was completed, we called an electrician on your behalf to provide relief. Within hours, another plumber was sent to your home along with an electrician. Four Seasons authorized the electrician to replace the outlet at no charge to you in order to provide the ejector pump with power to stop the sewage from backing up into your basement. At this time we offered you several remediation companies in order to mediate any type of damage. Unfortunately, you felt as though it was Four Seasons fault for not knowing that an electrical outlet in your home would fail and you refused any information we tried to provide. We would never want to leave any of our customers in this type of situation so we filed a claim with our insurance company so that they could investigate the failure of your outlet that Four Seasons did not install. Our Customer Service department spoke with you hours prior to your review explaining that a representative from our insurance company would be contacting you in order to help you throughout this process. We apologize if you feel our company provided you with inadequate services and that we didn't do everything we could to help you in such an unfortunate situation that lead you to shame us on the internet. We hope that this situation gets resolved in a quick and timely manner for you. Please do not hesitate to contact our 24/7 service if there is anything else we can do to help.

I had a gas leak in the furnace, I found out on a Saturday night that I have never noticed before. I don't think it was a big leak. I called Four Seasons and they were able to fit me in on Sunday. They called just after 8am on Sunday and arrived around 830am, just as they said they would. They quickly confirmed that there was a leak and quickly fixed it. They said it was normal wear and tear. I would highly recommend them. I have had good experiences with them.

We have two AC units. Four Seasons had typically been good but not this time. They serviced one unit and it started raining so they couldn't service the second. Instead of prioritizing the appointment to be days later at the latest, I had to wait until next available appointment which was three weeks later which is tomorrow. I made arrangements to be home from work to take the appointment and just got a call that my appointment was canceled do to extreme heat. And, again, instead of prioritizing the appointment, I was given another three weeks out. Needless to say, we will not be using Four Seasons anymore. Too bad for them as we will be replacing both units next spring.

This is a follow up to the receipt of an initial diagnosis and repair estimate. We were initially put off by a $500 estimate to replace a leaking p trap. After hours of attempts to fix on our own, we concluded that there had to be a crack in the pvc pipe where it tied into main pipe. That is exactly what it was, and required a special tool to bore out the old connection to allow insertion of a new one. The tech diagnosed it as a result of using a metal threaded collar to connect to a pvc pipe - alternative would have been to use all pvc. It took about an hour, but after performing three tests, we concluded it was fixed. The single B rating is related to the fact that I hate paying $500 to fix something which maybe should not have been constructed that way in the first place. In my case, the amount was not a budget buster, and I’m more concerned with getting it fixed right and quickly, so I’m not going to take the time to get multiple bids.

They quoted me $7000 for a heating and a/c install trying to pressure me into signing on the spot with his manager on the phone. I was able to have the same service performed for $3500 by another company. I do not recommend this company. They were rude and disrespectful, so I asked them to just leave.

The ejector pump in our basement failed and we needed it replaced since the basement drain was starting to overflow. Had Four Seasons out and they quoted me $1,360 to replace it. It was a flat fee and it sounded like it would take a few hours to replace and since I didn't want the drain to overflow, I went ahead and had them replace it. After they left, I looked up the pump they put in and the cost wasn't even $400 so I was basically charged $1,000 for 64 minutes of labor. Four Seasons does good work but their prices are very high. If you don't need something done right away, definitely get other quotes before going with Four Seasons.

We have used Four Season’s exclusively for all of our HVAC and plumbing issues for over ten years so they were the natural first call. They was able to send out a representative within 24 hours for a Free In-home estimate. The tech quickly assessed all three items: one a simple adjustment; second a issue which should be addressed with the fixture manufacturer; and the third a minor repiping for a garbage disposal. The solution, switching to all pvc piping was fairly straightforward, and we figured we could make that change on our own for less than Four Seasons proposed. I actually felt bad, as we had received the necessary advice for free and didn’t have to pay Four Seasons anything. This being said, over the past fifteen years, Four Seasons has: replaced an upstairs heating and air conditioning unit; fixed a sump pump issue; installed a whole house air filtration system; cleaned duct work; as well as performed twice a year pre-season check-ups along with ongoing maintenance of our two furnaces and AC units. Each time the work was done professionally and in line with their pre commencement estimate. On at least two occasions, it seemed that the time and work involved was more than they initially contemplated, but they stuck with their estimate. That commitment to customer service along with a (maybe not so) common sensitivity toward a customer’s natural desire to know what they are getting into from a cost standpoint, is why we will be a Four Seasons customer for life.

Repair seemed to go fine. Prices seemed steep - $1000 for fan motor, $350 for capacitor replacement (capacitors are $20 on amazon and take about 5 minutes to replace) The problem is the repair windows are 4 hours, and the unit would not turn off after the repair tech left. So the unit is broken in a new way now after the repair. This means that I need to skip another day of work to wait for the technician tomorrow to fix the work that was completed today. With such high prices, I expect the work to be done right the first time. Tech was polite, on-time and generally knowledgeable.
