Four Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning

Was told I needed a new hot water heater and was quoted almost 40% more than the cheapest one (Home Depot), but the kicker is that my second opinion Young Plumbing discovered that the heater IS working. Yes it was old but did not require immediate replacement as four seasons had said. Once I actually need a replacement I will be using Young Plumbing

Called to make an appointment and got a confirmation while on the call. The company called back later that day to cancel the appointment stating that the time “is actually not available...”

They have been excellent and are very quick to respond. They are a bit pricey but their customer service has been worth it. I would highly recommend them and I will use them again.

The quote was over twice the cost of every other quote I received. Plumber insisted that I left a hose connected all winter- nothing I said would convince him otherwise. Will never use or get another quote again.

Four Seasons came out and fixed the ignition system on our boiler. The company I used to use for maintenance on the boiler is now commercial only. Four Seasons recommended cleaning the boiler as it hadn't been serviced in a few years. After cleaning, the technician said the CO levels were too high and recommended replacing the boiler. We knew we would be needing a new boiler at some point, it was 35 years old. However, we feel taking it apart to clean may have accelerated the need for a replacement. Four Seasons scheduled for a crew that specialized in boilers to come back on Saturday. The two guys really hustled and installed the boiler in one day. They were super professional and cleaned up everything, including hauling out the old boiler. I had a minor problem a few months later and Four Seasons promptly sent someone out to repair the defective part under warranty. I would absolutely hire them again.

Their price was very competitive and we felt comfortable by going with a company that's been around so long. Called Four Seasons for an estimate and they had someone out the same day. The gentleman that showed up was very professional and answered all my questions. The pricing was competitive and warranties offered are amazing, 15 year parts and labor! Better than any other company I spoke with. They will be installing my new AC soon and I look forward to being a long term customer.

I called Four Season's to get a quote on updating my 18 yr old system because my neighbor did all my homework for me. He used Four Season's and claims it was the best experience he has ever had dealing with a contractor from start to completion so I gave them a try. I can't say enough to say how pleased my wife and I were! The people on the phone were all very personable and prompt. The salesman, Jeff Bogdan, was the most knowledgeable and honest person I've had the pleasure of dealing with. He explained every detail and process to ease our minds and provided the best solution for our home. The installers were courteous and respected our home. They did a fantastic job installing our new system and explained the operation of everything before they left. We have been enjoying our new furnace for about 5 weeks now. It's so much quiter and our home feels more comfortable. Sometimes I wonder if it's working because it's so quiet. Thank You Four Season's and my neighbor Phillip! I highly recommend this company.

The technician showed up in the time frame that the girl on the phone said. He diagnosed my system and found a bad control board. He gave me a price for repair, as well as replacement. Due to the age , I decided to replace rather than repair a 27 year old furnace. They were able to install it the same day. I will use them for my ac when I need one.

called for a clean and check tune up on my furnace. Person that took my call was very courteous and answered all of my questions. Service technician called when he was on the way. Technician Randy actually took the time to tell me what he was doing and the readings on his testing equipment. Very impressed.!!! Also wore "booties" over his shoes. They also cleaned and checked my hot water tank at no extra charge.

Everything went well, from the time of the estimate to the end of the installation. We bought a Lennox furnace and ac, we got 3 estimates and four seasons was the middle one (price wise) but after doing a lot of research they were the best way to go.

Four Seasons replaced out old boiler for a new high efficiency boiler. The old boiler had stopped working. A very nice representative came out and gave us a few options. We decided on the high efficiency since we are intending to live in our home a long time. That coupled with the smart thermostat has given us savings on our gas bill. The installers were on time and cleaned up nicely.

The blower motor’s bearings on my furnace had begun to make a loud noise. So rather than I’m sure what would’ve been an expensive repair, I decided to replace my furnace, air conditioner and water heater. I called Four Seasons and their representative was very pleasant. I didn’t feel as though I was being pushed to buy something that I didn’t need. I wound up purchasing a Lennox furnace with a variable speed motor, a new ac and water heater. The temperatures seem to be a lot more consistent throughout my home now and I’m hopeful that the new system makes a difference in the utility costs. I also purchased a uv system and since that’s been put in, I breathe a bit easier indoors. The install crew was polite and the warranty is outstanding. Totally recommend Four Seasons.

Very well. It took two visits to determine the extent of the work. I am hoping all this work does the trick and our drains work more properly. We were experiencing slow draining in the two kitchen sinks. The building is old, 131 years old, and has the original stack. The technician said that our catch basin and sewer line are in good shape. It took some time to clear the stack. There is some concern that the stack might need replacing in the future.

Required two visits to complete due to missing part- but work was completed as agreed. Professional and friendly.

Very professional, rep came out and priced the system and they installed the new system the next day. 1 day job. Took the old equipment & debris away. Very clean job. I would recommend again.

They quoted $774.00 for one pump installed or $1,548.00 for two pumps. That's like inviting a thief in your home; over priced and expensive. If two pumps then a discount would be done, they said. That's unreasonable and didn't like this negotiation that started. Two sump pumps was then discounted to $1,200, which is high. They said that is with all the types of discounts that could be possible and included everything; cleaning out the wells (not really needed much cleaning), quiet check valves, replacing a part of the PVC pipes coming out of the pumps, and cleaning up which means they would take the debris and pumps and get rid of them; the company recycles the pumps what was said to me, but the installer said he didn't know what they did with the old parts. I recycle all type of metal to these metal places that are all over the place, so I had him put the pumps in the garage instead of taking them. They are including a charge of getting rid of metal pumps and will get money back. Why should they get the money? There are my pumps. Why should I pay them to get money for the metal? People need to realize how easy it is to recycle metals and get money back. It doesn't take much effort to do that. One good thing is that the installer/plumber was nice about putting the pumps in the garage for me to recycle. So, I offered $1,000 for two pumps installed, and the manager on the phone came back with, "I'll meet you in the middle - $1,100. I initially said no, but have not much time to deal with all of this, so I went ahead with the deal knowing that it was overpriced. After checking Angies List for the first time and found out that I could get it for $450 for one pump and maybe double or a bit less for two pumps. I also got a quote from another place on Angie's List and they quoted $750.00 for two pumps. What a difference in price! Next time, I will check Angie's List first and get more quotes. I lost $350.00 by not doing more research.

This company charges to much for parts and labor. It took 3 techs to come out and try to and repair my heater. The last tech came out and figured out what the problem was with in 10 mins. The second tech took my old part with him, so i don't know if that particular part ( the most expensive ) was needed. Because the last tech informed me that the part i needed was far less, than the part i ordered. Which might have been the only part i needed. The customer service department called , I believe his name was Joe was not helpful at all. He kept telling me they would come out and replace the other part I needed for a discounted price. Never giving me the discounted price. This was a horrible experience I will never use them again.

It was the -25 degree day in Illinois. My 2nd furnace stopped working. I looked outside and did not see any ice blocking the intake air pipe. The repair guy (Smith) came out and told me 2 things about my furnace: 1. The PVC pipe was blocked with ice deeper inside the pipe then I could see. 2. I had a crack in my heat exchanger. I even pushed the button to take a photo of the crack on his camera. He said with the crack he didn't know how long it was going to last and it should be replaced. Smith gave me a quote for $7800+ Lennox furnace to replace my furnace (included removal of old furnace & Installation of new furnace). I explained I did not have the money for it, he told me to apply for credit and pay for half of it. He was really pressuring me to buy the furnace that day. I said no. 2 days later I had my home owners insurance claims engineer come out to the house to see if they would pay for the new furnace since the exchanger was cracked. He was there for 2.5 hours and found nothing wrong with the furnace and did not see the crack. He said the furnace was just old - which it is. He asked for the explanation from Smith (HVAC guy). The explanation from Four Season's mentioned nothing about the crack! So, was there a crack or wasn't there a crack in the heat exchanger? The same day he engineer came out I also had another HVAC company come out to give me a quote for a furnace (Trane). I was quoted ~$4800. $3000 less than the furnace Four Season's Quoted me. It was a similar furnace - same BTU's and a 2 stage furnace. This also included install and take away. It did not include a new thermostat but a new thermostat is not going to cost me $3000. So, what's going on? I have been a customer of Four Seasons for almost 14 years. I have referred multiple people to you. I have purchased a new water heater, a new A/C unit and a new 91,000 BTU unit from Four Season's over the last 14 years without issue. Was I taken? Was I a fool for staying with you? I thought you were an honest company. May be Four Season's company ethics has changed to be more car sales pressure oriented. Are the repair guys on commission? I am disappointed! I will not be using Four Seasons again. I recommend you do not use them either unless you want to be taken advantage of and this is the bottom line. I felt like I was being taken advantage of because it was -25 degrees in Chicago and I didn't have a working furnace. So, Smith tried to pressure me into buying something I did not need. Graded: C for professionalism because he tried to sell me something I didn't need but he did get the furnace working again with the alleged "crack".

Repair and service was done adequately but the parts cost was outrageous. Charged over $1600 in parts that I could have purchased elsewhere for less than $500. They charged for two parts close to what a new furnace would have cost.
