I called the 24 hr emergency line and left message at 3am. I was disappointed that no call was returned until 7:50am. The repairman, Ray, arrived on time as stated at 10am. He quickly identified the problem and informed me of a defective ignitor. He further explained that the part is under warranty. He told me that I should first pay for the part ($195) and request reimbursement from the manufacturer (Carrier). I paid for the service call ($65), two furnace cleaning (@$59.90 each w/Angie's List discount), and the installation of a new ignitor. I then called Carrier to get reimbursed. Carrier informed that they never deal with the customer directly and the reimbursement process should only involve the repair company. There was a misunderstanding with the repairman as to the reimbursement and thru the tireless efforts of the service manger, Ben, reimbursement was made in full. The service manager went above and beyond my expectations in educating me on the warranties available to me
Description of Work: Heat went out as a result of defective ignitor on furnace at 2am Monday morning. Add'l work requested included the cleaning of two furnaces.

THEY HAVE A PRICE SHEET THAT SHOWS HOW MUCH THE PARTS ARE FOR SERVICES. MAKES YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE BECAUSE YOU FEEL BETTER ABOUT NOT GETTING RIPPED OFF.

The tech came at 1:00 p.m., was polite, and the charges were $350.00 with the 10% discount when I mentioned Angie's List. Since I never had the automatic damper replaced before, I could not comment on the price. But the point was the heat would not go on, and after he replaced the damper the heat is now on.
Description of Work: I called 4 seasons at 8:00 a.m., the part for my boiler was delivered by 10: a.m. and the tech arrived at 1:00 p.m. It took him about one hour to finish the job, and my heat was on.

The servicemen did not arrive until 2:30 and it took them 12 hours to install the new furnace. They left at 2:30 A.M. They did not have the right equipment to drill and the piping was poorly designed. We had to call the next day and speak with a manager to express our dissatisfaction with the job and the time it took. They scheduled the service manager to visit us the next week seeing we did have heat working. Upon his arrival, the inspection showed everything to be working correctly and were told the piping was installed the only way that could be allowed. We were then offered a discount on the installation.
Description of Work: We had the furnace replaced. They came out the same day we had heating problems and knew it was time to replace the furnace. We were quoted a price, then given a discount and told the servicemen would be out the following day between 8-11 a.m. to install the new furnace which would take 6 hours to do.

JOB 1: TECHNICIAN, MIKE, WAS PROFESSIONAL, EFFICIENT, CLEAN AND HELPFUL. WITH ANGIE'S LIST DISCOUNT THE ANNUAL CLEANING PRICE WAS BETTER THAN OTHER COMPANIES. JOB 2: FOUR WEEKS PRIOR I HAD THE HEATING SYSTEM CHECKED AND CLEANED SO I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THIS, OR THE ADDITIONAL CHARGE. THE TECHNICIAN SAID THAT THIS PROBABLY COULD NOT BE DETECTED AT THE TIME OF THE CLEANING.

Very good. I called on Monday with a non-emergency request for service, and they scheduled me for Tuesday after I got home from work (between 6:30 and 9:30 pm). The serviceman called around 7:30 to confirm and said he'd be there within the hour, and he was. He looked over the furnace, determined it needed cleaning, and finished within 15 - 20 minutes.
Description of Work: Came out on a service call to check problem with furnace. The flame sensor was dirty, so he cleaned it.

THE WORK WENT REALLY WELL, BUT A VALVE WAS LEAKING WHEN THEY LEFT. THEY ORIGINALLY WANTED ME TO PAY FOR THE VALVE BECAUSE IT WAS AN OLD PART, BUT THEY EVENTUALLY CAME BACK AND REPLACED IT FOR NOTHING. CLEAN-UP WAS STUPENDOUS. I SPOKE TO THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY AND THANKED HIM FOR THEIR SERVICES, AND I TOLD HIM I WOULD LIKE TO PAY HALF OF IT.

OUTSTANDING SERVICE! I CALLED TWO OTHER COMPANIES LISTED ON ANGIE'S LIST AND THEY COULD NOT COME UNTIL 5-7 DAYS LATER. FOUR SEASONS AND THEIR STAFF WENT BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY TO FIX MY TWO HEATERS. FOUR SEASONS WAS TERRIFIC. I CHOSE THEM PRIMARILY BECAUSE THEIR ESTIMATE WAS CONSIDERABLY LESS THAN ANY OTHER ESTIMATE I RECEIVED. GIVEN THAT THE ESTIMATE TOOK PLACE WHEN I WAS NOT EVEN THERE, I AUTOMATICALLY HAD FAITH IN FOUR SEASONS AS A GOOD UPSTANDING COMPANY BECAUSE THEY DID NOT TRY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF AN OLDER WOMAN. IT WAS AFTER WALTER AND LUIS ARRIVED TO INSTALL THE BOILER, HOWEVER, THAT I REALIZED THAT I MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE. THEY ARRIVED EXACTLY WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD, THEY WERE VERY COURTEOUS AND POLITE, AND THEY DID NOT STOP WORKING UNTIL THE JOB WAS COMPLETE. NOT ONLY WAS THE INSTALLATION PERFECT, BUT WALTER AND LUIS VOLUNTEERED TO TEAR OUT AND HAUL AWAY THE OLD, GIGANTIC INCINERATOR. THIS TOOK THEM AN EXTRA COUPLE OF HOURS AND THEY DID NOT CHARGE ME A DIME. EVERYONE ON FOUR SEASON'S TEAM, FROM THE SALESMEN TO THE INSTALLERS, TREATED MY GRANDMOTHER'S HOME LIKE IT WAS THEIR OWN. EVEN THE PEOPLE ON THE TELEPHONE WERE EXEMPLARY. FOUR SEASONS IS AN EXCELLENT HVAC COMPANY.

I CALLED AT 11PM AND WAS ABLE TO SCHEDULE A SERVICE CALL BETWEEN 8-10 THE FOLLOWING MORNING. A FEW MINUTES BEFORE 8AM, I RECEIVED A CALL CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT AND THE REPRESENTATIVE, JAMES, ESTIMATED HIS ARRIVAL WITHIN 45-60 MINUTES. HE ARRIVED 30 MINUTES LATER AND WAS CHECKED THE UNITS. FINDING NO GAS LEAKAGE, HE GAVE ME A FEW TIPS ON PRESERVING ENERGY -SUCH AS TURNING OUR WATER HEATER TO THE VACATION SETTING WHEN WE'RE AWAY TO HELP KEEP THE GASS BILL DOWN. AWFUL. TERRIBLE. SALESMAN, KEVIN, CAME OUT GAVE US AN ESTIMATE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF TWO A/C AND TWO FURNACES, HOT WATER HEATER. WHEN THE INSTALLERS CAME, THEY SAID IT MUST BE UNDERESTIMATED, CALLED THE OFFICE AND LEFT. GENERAL MANAGER, GRUNDY, CALLED AND SAID THEY WOULD NOT DO THE JOB FOR THE CONTRACT PRICE. WE WOULD HAVE TO RENEGOTIATE THE CONTRACT. HE OFFERED A PRICE OF ABOUT 25% MORE. HE ALSO SAID THAT THE GUARANTEE THE SALESMAN HAD CONFIRMED BY SEPARATE LETTER COULD NOT POSSIBLY BE HONORED. HE KEPT SAYING THAT THE SALESMAN HAD MADE A MISTAKE. IT WOULD SEEM THAT IF WE HAD A SIGNED (DOUBLE CHECKED BY PHONE WHEN THE SALESMAN WAS HERE) THAT ANY PRICING ERRORS SHOULD BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE COMPANY. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. THE OWNER CALLED ME AFTER ALL OF THIS AND OFFERED TO PAY THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE ORIGINAL QUOTE AND THE PRICE THAT WE EVENTUALLY PAID.

I CALLED ON A SATURDAY NIGHT AT 7:00 PM AND SOMEONE ANSWERED PROMPTLY. THEY WERE AVAILABLE TO COME OUT THE NEXT DAY (SUNDAY), BUT WE SCHEDULED THEM FOR MONDAY INSTEAD (WHICH WAS COLUMBUS DAY). EVEN THOUGH WE CANCELED THE SERVICE CALL, WE SCHEDULED A CLEANING FOR OUR FURNACE FOR TWO WEEKS OUT. WE HAVE USED FOUR SEASONS BEFORE AND WILL USE THEM AGAIN.

I WAS GIVEN A 5 HOUR WINDOW AND THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN WAS 1 HOUR LATE. THE COMPANY CALLED AT HOUR 4 TO SAY THAT HE WOULD BE LATE. (WHY CAN'T THEY NARROW THE WINDOW OR TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE SCHEDULED TOWARDS THE BEGINNING/END OF THE WINDOW??) THE TECHNICIAN WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND CLEANED UP AFTER HIMSELF. GAVE A GROUP DISCOUNT TO US BECAUSE 4 OUT OF THE 6 UNITS IN OUR CONDO BUILDING HAD THEIRS SERVICED AT THE SAME TIME. THEY WERE CONSCIENTIOUS, PROFESSIONAL AND ON-TIME. I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH FOUR SEASONS. THEY CAME WITHIN THE STATED TIME FRAME AND ACCEPTED MY ANGIE'S LIST COUPON. THEY CHARGE $65 TO COME OUT AND DIAGNOSE A PROBLEM 24/7, 365 DAYS A YEAR WHICH IS GREAT TO KNOW! MOST PLACES CHARGE EXTRA FOR EVENING/WEEKEND/HOLIDAY HOURS. I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN TO DO A TUNE UP OF THE FURNACE AND THEY ARE AMONG THE ESTIMATES I WILL USE FOR THE PURCHASE OF A NEW A/C UNIT.
Description of Work: AIR CONDITIONER WAS NOT COOLING. I CALLED AT ABOUT 2PM AND THEY SAID THEY COULD HAVE SOMEONE OUT BY 5:30 PM. JOE N. WAS HERE BY 4PM , DIAGNOSED THAT THE WIRING HAD BURNT THROUGH AND THE COMPRESSOR WAS PRETTY MUCH AT THE END OF IT'S USEFUL LIFE. HE DID MANAGE TO RECONNECT IT SO IT WOULD COOL FOR THE TIME BEING. HE GAVE ME A ROUGH ESTIMATE OF WHAT A REPLACEMENT WILL COST ME (2,500 TO 2,900) BUT I NEED TO CALL AND GET A FEW MORE QUESTIONS ANSWERED. HE DID DO A QUICK CHECK OF OUR HEATING SYSTEM AND HE CHECKED THE FILTER. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH JOE'S COURTESY AND PROFESSIONALISM. THE ONLY THING I WOULD SAY THAT WAS A LITTLE BIT WRONG WAS THAT HE DIDN'T REALLY DISCUSS DIFFERENCES IN THE 2 A/C UNITS I WAS OFFERED. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN MY FAULT TO SINCE I HAVE NEVER HAD TO REPLACE AN AC UNIT BEFORE AND DIDN'T REALLY KNOW WHAT QUESTIONS TO ASK.

THIS JOB TOOK TWO DAYS BECAUSE THE PART NEEDED HAD TO BE ORDERED, SO ON THE SECOND DAY A SECOND SERVICE TECH, NAMED BART TANNER, DID THE ACTUAL LABOR. BART WAS VERY CONSIDERATE OF MY HARDWOOD FLOORS. HE REMOVED HIS WORK BOOTS PRIOR TO ENTERING MY HOME. HE ALSO WAS VERY INFORMATIVE AND COURTEOUS.

INSTALLERS IGOR AND MACLAVO ARRIVED TO MY HOME AS SCHEDULED. THEY WENT RIGHT TO WORK, FIRST CHECKING THE SITE CAREFULLY, THEN PROTECTING MY FLOORS WITH TARPS. THEIR WORKMANSHIP WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AS SEEN IN THE END RESULT. IGOR EVEN MOVED THE OLD AIR CONDITION DRAIN PIPE SO I WOULD NO LONGER TRIP OVER IT. THE WORK SITE WAS LEFT CLEAN. IGOR THEN MADE SURE I NEW HOW TO OPERATE MY NEW SYSTEM.
