One of our air compressors stopped working during the week of the 4th, the hottest week so far this summer. We called Four Seasons and they were able to come out early the following week. The service rep was very knowledgeable and quickly found that there was an issue with the compacitor. He fixed that issue and also recommend we have the units serviced since it had been a few years. We scheduled a follow up to have service the next week. That technician came and started cleaning the units. He was very polite and explained what he was doing. One of the units needed freon so he added that as well. While in the basement cleaning on of the units he noticed some water leaking from the hot water heater. I had noticed this a few days earlier but ignored it. He explained that this was the first sign that it would need to be replaced and then spent a good deal of time walking me through our options and making a recommendation as to what we should replace it with. We have a 75 gallon tank, not sure why, but he suggested we could go with a smaller one. I'm not looking forward to replacing the hot water heater but Four Seasons will be getting that business.

At first I was impressed with this company, now I feel taken advantage of, the hard start part was installed I hear it only prolongs the air conditioning unit for a short amount of time, why charge us over $500?? I do have pictures of the parts that never were replaced, plan on calling Four Season very shortly...They will hear a ear full, I want my money back!
Description of Work: Had my air conditioning cleaned and it also was not cooling properly. Was told two parts needed to be replaced, we were advised our unit was on it's last leg, we agreed to have the parts re-placed just to try to make the unit last a little longer. So today it made a strange noise so I called a friend of the family that has a heating and cooling business. Turns out the two parts were never replaced and the tech put what is called a hard start on the unit, which I hear only costs $20!! Four Seasons responed quickly to this issue, employee came out to discuss and look at the A/C, turned out they did replace the parts that we paid for, the person that came out and told me that the parts we not replaced was incorrect, I regret posting a "F" review and I am a bit embarressed...

I cannot say enough good things about Four Seasons. After waking up to find our AC unit dead on a 100 degree day, Four Seasons was able to get a crew to our home the very next day to install a new system immediately. The crew arrived earlier than we expected (when does that happen?!) and worked from 8:30 am until 1:30 am in scorching temperatures and in our cramped attic. They were completely professional, hard working, corteous and all around wonderful and we cannot say how much we appreciate their hard work on our behalf in getting our house cooled down so quickly. They certainly did not have to complete the job in one day, but they did as they knew we have two young children, and for that we are so grateful. We will definitely recommend Four Seasons to anyone.

Pro's: My technician was professional and seemingly had a solid understanding of his trade. This review is not necessarily a reflection of his work. Although the coupon currently on the front page of their website is expired they did honor it. (I can see now why they so badly want to get on site) BEWARE The Con: When it came down to the repair work that was needed (A replacement capacitor for the AC unit, Packard model PRCFD355) the price that I was given from Four Seasons was $225. Seeming a bit excessive for a single capacitor to cost more than your average car battery I quickly took to the internet to get some sort of baseline for pricing. What I found was that this part runs from anywhere from $4 to $25 MAX. SERIOUSLY, look it up! Now, that said I am a realist and understand that you also have to pay for service and installation (Keep in mind that I am already $90 in for the service call). This particular job entails the removal of 2 screws on the AC unit and the connection of 4 wires to the new capacitor. In fact by the time I had looked up the part online the technician had already removed and installed the new part! We area talking under 5 minutes time with NO exaggeration on my part. Of course, I had the new part removed and the old one put back in its place. I ordered my replacement capacitor online with next day shipping for a total of $32 saving me $193 compared to 4 Seasons pricing. Unfortunately no matter how honorable some companies portray themselves up front, most companies in the service industry are still trying to take advantage of consumers. 4 Seasons has just been added to my "Buyer Beware" list.
Description of Work: On site inspection of my AC unit This is the company's annual maintenance package

Two installation gentlemen arrived within the time window we agreed on. They were very courteous, respectful and did a great job. By the time they finished and turned the new system on , we had excellent cooling for the first time ever in this house!!! I can't tell you how much better this was for us, and especially for sleeping. Our bedrooms were so hot and uncomfortable no matter what we did to make it better. We had no idea the unit was not installed correctly, and of course who knew that the unit itself , a Carrier, which used to be a good brand, was such a bad product. The men did a good job of cleaning up after themselves. I was very happy with this service experience and will use Four Seasons again in the future.
Description of Work: My AC was not working the way it should, for several seasons. The unit was only 4 years old, but the air flow to the ducts was poor and the upstairs especially was terrible. I knew something was not right. The first technician arrived (called first) and correctly identified the problems. One , it was not installed properly in the first place which was the cause of the poor air flow. Two the coils were leaking and basically formed a large block of ice. He gave me two options for repair or replace, and how much it would cost. I decided to replace the coils completely and to have them install the right way. The airflow problem had to be fixed also, but cutting out a panel that was restricting the air flow. He also arranged for me to apply over the phone for a six month, interest free payment plan. Which was great because $1300 is a lot of money! I was approved and made an appointment for installation the next day. Oh, also, the technician showed us that the outside unit was dirty, and showed my son how to clean with the garden hose. I very much appreciated that as well! he was very nice, professional and explained everything very well.

I used this place based on reviews and their rating here. I was sadly disappointed. I knew what I needed done and called them to ask the approximate cost. They told me their service call charge and how much freon was per pound. The tech came later that evening. He checked and said there was ice and he could not add the freon that they would have to come bak. He also hinted that I may need a new A/C and Furnace, ~$7,000. All I called for was a freon recharge! I paid the $85 service call charge and he scheduled me for the next morning between 9-12. I stayed home from work and waited for them. and waited. Finally at 11:30 I called them to see if they were coming. They said I was next. So I continued to wait. I received a call at 11:45 saying the tech would be here in 45 minutes! That would be 12:30pm, outside of the window and now making me have wasted a half day staying home and I would now have to figure something out for the afternoon. Once he arrived, he started to fill the freon and mentioned there was a calibration fee which was $75. No one ever mentioned that to me at all when I asked. This service call costed me way more than it hould have. I feel I got ripped off and all they wanted to do was charge more money for anything they could. I will never use them again nor will I refer them to anyone.

See above - great job from start to finish!!!
Description of Work: Our AC quit when it was close to 100 degrees. We called four seasons and they said they could get someone out that day at no additional charge!!! (what a great surprise as we figured it would either be days or a huge up charge). We found out that the motor in our furnace needed to be replaced and during the inspection also determined the fly wheel attached to the motor was caked with dirt and he cleaned it as well. What a difference, the house was much cooler and the AC worked better than before it broke down. We will definitely use Four Seasons for all our work going forward!!!!

My central air was making a noise on a Friday afternoon. We called them on Saturday morning and they were out at my house to check it by 1:00 PM. Bill the serviceman was very professional and thorough. It turns out my compressor went out. He said that normally it would have cost about half as much but R22 was banned 2 years ago so I had to replace my whole unit. I found this out while at a wedding. I called a couple of other places for quotes but no one else could come as quick as Four Seasons could. They were in my house installing at 8:30 AM Monday morning. The installers were professional, thorough and clean. They laid down cloths throughout the house. Both the servicemen and the installers wore shoe guards over their shoes when walking through the house. They finished at 4:30 PM and my air is working great. Although I never got any formal quotes, I feel from talking to a few people that the price was a little high but fair. But if you want speedy emergency service that is professional call Four Seasons. Had a great experience.

Doug was the sales guy that cam to our home for the estimate and he did a good job of understanding our needs and recommending a suitable unit. The price that he quoted was fair and he promised an installation date and a time window for installation. So far so good. Then on the day of installation troubles started as the installers did not arrive as promised. On calling their office on two occassions I was given the same reply that they will come soon and I have to wait. Nobody had any clue inspite of this company touting in its advertisement that they use state of the art technology to track their trucks. On the third call from me I was shuffled from one department to other where the lady from installation told me that the install truck broke down . yeah right. If that was the case they should have known before hand and should have let me know instead of me calling them repeatedly. Frustrated with all this, I called to cancel but was routed to their voicemail where I left a message to cancel the installation. Even after that some time in the evening two dirty and unclean guys showed up at my front door saying they were the installers. I mentioned them that I had cancelled and it seems they were not updated about it. All in all I made a decision not to give them work because if this company treats its new would be customers this way then I cannot imagine my treatment when I actually become their customer and happen to request any service.

Our A/C started to lost its cooling the day before Memorial Day. I called another place Memorial Day morning and after a few hours, I had to call back. That place has lost my original request. After a few more hours of hearing nothing, I called Four SeasonsI understand that A/C places were busy, there had been a few days with highs in the high 90s, but a Four Season tech called me back in less than 10 minutes and was on-site in about an hour on Memorial Day.So other than getting to my house quickly on Memorial Day in 90 degree weather, they were also not charging extra to come out on a holiday. Which saved about $100.George, the technician was very professional. He tested everything and found that the outside unit was not getting power because a fuse had blown in a fuse box on the outside of the home that the A/C was connected. I had just check the circuit breaker on the inside of the house. He was done in less than 30 minutes and everything has been fine since then.It was not a big job, but Four Seasons came out quickly and did a good job on a holiday in 90 degree heat. I will call them again in the future.

We called approximately 7 p.m. after realizing the AC was not functioning at all. They were able to send someone the next morning between 8 and 12. Arrival was close to 8 a.m. even though I had missed the confirmation call. I was very grateful the technician stopped anyway. He was very professional and checked our system thoroughly. He quickly found faulty wiring and a part that was indicating wear, as well. He fixed the wiring first before making a firm recommendation about the part, which I appreciated. I was not crazy about replacing a part that was not yet broken but decided to go ahead. Part prices were significant markups, of course, from what could be purchased online, but that is to be expected and I appreciated the service, quality and timeliness. The technician also provided some education (requested) on central air maintenance. Overall a very good experience and I would definitely use them again.

Friday night I notice that it was very hot in my house. I checked the air vents and noticed that only slightly cool air was coming out. No cold air, like usual. I went outside and looked at the ac unit. It wasn't on, the blade wasn't spinning. It was 84 degrees in my house. HOT HOT HOT. Saturday morning about 7:30 am I got on Angie's List and selected Four Seasons. I called F/S at 8:30 am. They told me there would be a $85.00 service charge. Another company (All Temps) wanted $125.00 because it was Saturday. They consider this as an emergency service call. Four Seasons is 24 hours service with the same $85.00 service charge. F/S told me that someone will call me between 10am-2pm. John Maddox the tech. called me about 10:30. He was at my house about 11am. I initial his paper work giving him authorization, then he went to work. He checked the unit and found the problem. He said it was a bad capacitor. He looked in his note book and said the part is $229.00. My thoughts were WOW. F/S charges a lot for a part that cost less than $50.00. It is the starter for ac unit. Looked it up on the web and youtube. I agreed to the price because I want it fixed NOW. My body and brain was frying. Hot, Hot, Hot. He replaced the part, then he checked for freon level. After taking care of everything outside, he came inside to check the thermostat and furnace system in the basement. He was very detailed. He turned my filter around because it was in backward and he turned off my humidifier which I thought it was already off. He told me not to store paper produce around my water heater because it could start a fire. I was very pleased with John's knowledge and the service he provided. My air condition was work within 30 minutes. A couple of hours later I received a call from Four Seasons asking if I was satisfy with the work. YES. Above all else Four Seasons give you a lifetime (parts) & labor guarantee. The lesson I learned was to get quick and good service it come with a price. I would paid for this service again in a heart beat. P.S. I got 15% off with Four Seasons Coupon on Angie's List. Now I am very cool.Thank again Four Seasons and John Maddox.

I recommend them to my son. I go three or four estimate and theirs was not the lowest. I already had a Lennox air conditioner and I wanted to stick with the same brand. The guy that came out and surveyed was very appreciative because I had saved all the paperwork from the old furnace that was installed 25 years ago. I made a flow chart and put the pros and cons for each company and Four Seasons came out ahead.

About 2 years ago our central air conditioner went out, we called 4 Seasons and had them come out to look at it. They found that it was a faulty wiring connection inside the unit and fixed it. Earlier this spring I had them come out to perform routine inspection and cleaning on the unit as I was moving across the country and wanted everything to be in good running order for my tenants who would be moving in. Yesterday I received a call from my management company saying that the AC had gone out, instead of having him call his usual repair service I told him to call 4 Seasons since they had a "Guarantee" for "No Breakdowns" after the clean and check. They came out and proceeded to tell me and the manager that the condensor was broken and that the unit needed to be replaced to the tune of about $4,000. My manager contacted his usual HVAC guy who came out and found that the condensor was fine and that the issue was with the wiring, he rewired the entire unit and now it's running again. Update I received a call from Four Seasons and they have refunded the service fee as per their "No Breakdowns" Guarantee. I greatly appreciate their prompt response, professionalism, and courtesy in resolving this matter.

To put it simply, Four Seasons was a ton of potential, but a failure in execution. We started out strong. My wife and I were looking for an A/C because our newborn daughter is sleeping on the first floor while our bedroom is on the second floor. The first floor and basement are heated with boiler heat, but we had an existing furnace on the second floor. We had used window units in the past, but due to neighbors who smoke in the alleyway between our houses, we didn't feel comfortable having our daughter's window open all summer, albeit with an A/C hopefully blocking out all the bad air. We got several quotes. The first came from a highly reputable vendor who said what we wanted couldn't happen, i.e. we wanted to run a line down to my daughter's room via the crawlspaces from the second floor furnace, which would also (fringe benefit) power A/C for the second floor as well. Instead, he suggested Mitsubishi Slims, the monstrous A/C units you see in hotels. In short, something that would like kill our house on resale. So we called Four Seasons, and our salesperson totally saw our vision, and said it could happen. We were prepared for holes in the ceiling and needing to drywall around exposed ventilation piping, but by and large, we were going to have the system we wanted. Come the installation day, they arrived right at the time we had requested from the salesperson (there was some miscommunication from the office who said they would arrive at 8 am, but ultimately, they were punctual). When we described the work as we understood it, the installer looked dumbfounded, saying he didn't think it would be possible, or that we would diminish the power of our system. We had him call the salesperson and his supervisor, and they said we could move ahead. Lo and behold, he was right. Our overhead crawlspace was too small to accommodate a new vent. In order to move forward, we would have to install vents that ran through our living space, condemning us to 5 ft. ceilings in some places. Again, a death to resale. They completed installation of the A/C and new furnace, knocked the price down to $4500, eliminating the cost of extra vents and labor. They also gave us a five year service warranty. All these things are great. But here is where things get not so great: A) Our salesperson came back and said, unless we wanted to run vents through our living space, the only option we had was a Mitsubishi Slim. Bad and worse. B) He did suggest we could have an in-ceiling unit installed in our daughter's room, and that he would get a quote from his office. Despite multiple emails to him where he acted dumbfounded as to why we hadn't gotten the quote, we have yet to be offered a workable solution for our daughter's room as summer approaches. C) I pointed out to him that an ad for Four Seasons that came out the next day after our installation showed that a new A/C and Furnace could be installed for $3700. I asked why ours was $4500. Let me tell you, these guys know about hot air.D) The first night it got hot on the second floor, we decided to at least try out our A/C. After leaving it on for 6 hours, the temp was still 87. We called their service line, and they arrived promptly to look at the condenser. Turns out our installer hadn't secured our coolant line correctly, and all the freon had leaked out of the system the moment we turned it on. Fortunately, we weren't charged for this mistake. Ultimately, we have a working A/C for one floor of our house, and we have multiple fans running in our daughter's room. We'll likely be forced to switch her to our bedroom, but I would have preferred to spend the $4500 on renovating our room for her and her room for us, rather than sinking it in a system that doesn't fulfill our expectations. However, we will be using them again. Their service team, from my experience, is impeccable. I'm just not sure about their Sales team.

The whole experience went very smoothly from checking out my old unit, getting an estimate on a new unit to having the new Lennox installed. Overall I was very pleased and feel if I do have a problem, Four Seasons will take care of it.
Description of Work: A servicman came out on Saturday and completely checked out my AC and confirmed by suspicions what was wrong and I was prepared to get an estimate for a new unit. Bill was very professional, answered all my questions and concerns, as I feel I was taken advantage of by my previous AC company, and had many questions. I had another estimate and Four Seasons matched the price and we arranged for installation the next Wednesday. The technicians Javier & Scott we very professional and did the entire job in about 3 hours. I am very satisfied and would recommend Four Seasons.
