They did a fine job. The price was competitive.I think they came out, and they adjusted something and they didn't charge me, so that was nice. I think it was something so minor so they didn't charge me for the call.

REBUTTAL TO PROVIDER RESPONSE: I disagree with Four Season’s response to my complaint on several points and have attached documentation from several sources to support my response. This first point is merely to demonstrate the pattern of dishonesty that we have encountered with Four Seasons as the real issue is the misrepresentation of the quality of Air Conditioner that we were given and charged for. 1. The tech 6/6/17 charged for a service that was clearly not needed based upon what the original system was doing. This was never denied by Four seasons, and my suspicion was actually indirectly confirmed when the A/C unit completely failed less than 1 week after installing the capacitor, and the tech 6/13/17 supposedly found several other problems, not mentioned by the first. When Ben contacted me to follow up my complaint, I questioned the marked discrepancy in the assessments, but I was never given an answer beyond a dirty filter. Moreover, I question the accuracy of the 2nd report as well because we purchased a new filter and installed it 6/7/17 based upon the recommendations of the first tech, yet Four Seasons claims there was still a dirty filter present on 6/13—And even if we hadn’t, there is no way a dirty filter caused an entire system to fail in less than 1 week. Additionally, I fail to see how the system could have been that dirty, since we had been changing our filter about every 2 mths and had even had the entire duct system in our home cleaned by Lowes 4/2017 (see receipt attached). 2. Four Seasons reports that “Estimates were left for both options” (repair vs. replacement). This is a blatantly untrue. I was NEVER given any written estimate for a new A/C. On 6/13 the only thing we received was the “description of recommendations” that the tech left with my son after he signed it (attached). However, upon my return from my travels 7/3/17, I went to do laundry, and discovered a document conveniently left on the dryer with the exact make/model and price of the unit I had emailed Ben with concerns about what was being installed from Philadelphia, while the installers were still at my home. I REALLY hope this is not the document they are referring to, as it was clearly backdated to 6/13 since the writing and the forged signature of the tech are markedly different from the signed copy I have with the recommendations from that day(copy also attached). If they had supposedly provided this documentation prior to coming to install the unit 6/25, why couldn’t the installers tell me what kind of A/C they would be putting in (they should have had a copy of the order if it existed before that). 3. We were not told that we would be receiving a 13 seer. I would not have agreed to that because the Angies List article on buying an A/C specifically recommends purchasing one above this. It even states that most companies do not sell even sell them anymore d/t lower efficiency. Also, there was never a discussion about applying the 505.95 that was charged for the capacitor to anything. Why would we have that discussion since the original problem was that it was not necessary in the first place? He is correct in that we were told that the replacement was to be done at a “discounted price” of $3460 because the high efficiency, high quality unit we were lead to believe we would be receiving would normally cost $5400.00 installed—which is highly unlikely for something like a 13ACX ( I am happy to supply at least 5 sources with pricing for this if you’d like). 4. It is also true that I informed Ben that I wanted to discuss what he had told me regarding replacing the A/C with my husband first, and asked if he could reiterate what he had been explaining to me to my husband. He agreed and I called my husband and Ben and the three of us discussed this on a conference call (see row 1 attached cell phone screen shots). During that call after being assured of the value of the A/C unit we would be getting, my husband stated that he would like to have the A/C installed that day 6/23 if they could arrive before I had to leave for the airport. While it is true that we had a 10 seer, it was installed in 2005, after 12 yrs, a 13 seer would be as much of an upgrade as being sold a computer with a CD disk drive and Windows 5 today as a current viable upgrade because your old one has a hard floppy drive and Windows 5 (if they’re both outdated/substandard, it’s not an improvement). This also is evidence that no prior written estimate existed prior to the day of installation, as there would not have been a need for this conversation if it had been provided. 5. From the time the installers arrived, I began to have concerns about what they had been told, and what kind of A/C unit they were planning to install. As I stated during my call 6/24 and in my written complaint to Angie’s list thereafter, the installers seemed to be under the impression that they were there for a repair (I called Ben right away to clarify that it was a replacement) and once that was made clear, they could not tell me what kind of A/C unit they would be installing until they brought it off the truck and opened it. I have attached phone screen shots (Row 2) to show calls I made to Ben and my Husband within the hour between their arrival and the time I had to leave for the airport. I have also included text communications sent between my son and I after I called him from the airport asking him to obtain and send me a photo of the specs for the A/C. Due to the late hour of my arrival in Philadelphia, I sent an email that night as well voicing my concerns (email previously sent to Noel-Angies list). 6. Four Seasons stated that they are able to provide us with additional options, but have not been able to reach me. As you can see from the texts, phone call log(Row 3), and email communications-(previously sent), they have been able to reach me by nearly every means possible. I have included screen shots of my phone log of all calls that have come into me or placed by me to them, and there is nothing from them in any form since 7/11/17. Moreover, at the time this complaint was escalated to Angie’s list complaint resolution department, I was advised that I would no longer have to deal with Four Seasons myself and they should have been communicating with Angie’s list (this is one of the benefits that come with our paid gold membership with Angie’s list). They could have even contacted me via the dispute representative at Angie’s List. The last time I spoke with them was 7/11/17 when I returned a call to Four Season’s customer care (they had left a vm for me the day before, stating they wanted to talk to see if we could resolve our issue). I returned the call because I thought they were contacting me with a resolution after they had worked through the problem with Angie’s list. The woman I spoke to claimed she had reviewed a transcript and they had done what we had agreed to. I knew she was not being truthful, and ended the conversation by simply stating that I guess we were just going to have to agree to disagree, and I would just have to utilize other means to get a resolution. (If she really had reviewed a recording she would have known that Ben had spoken with us on his cell while walking through their warehouse when the arrangements were made. It was also a 3-way with my husband on the phone, yet she stated it was a transcript with Ben and I speaking). I could go on, but I think this paints a vivid enough picture of what my experience with Four Seasons has been like. I can certainly understand why there have been so many poor reviews given for this company.
Description of Work: Fix my AC unit. I was getting cooler air in the basement than in the house. I was looking at a deal for a AC tune-up and cleaning. The customer service agent said that the deal would not cover any fixing of the AC unit, and that there would be an additional charge, so I did not purchase that deal. I left my son with a check to pay for the repairs and to call me before he wrote the check. They guy comes out and said that we needed a new capacitor, my son signed for it, and called me before giving the guy the check. My son called me but I was with a patient, so I needed to call him back. I called him back 5 minutes later. Before I was able to call him back the he had my son write the check and he was out the door. The symptoms for a capacitor is not the problems that I was having. They came and I put in the parts I don’t even need. The AC sounded horrible when I got home.I called them to tell them that I did not think that the capacitor was necessary, and that the AC unit sounded worse than when they came out. I called them to tell them that I did not think that the capacitor was necessary, and that the AC unit sounded worse than when they came. This was Wednesday 06/06/2017. When I called they put me on hold to talk to customer service and I was on hold for a very long time and then went to Voicemail. I called back later and it went straight to voicemail. I went to the bank to put a stop payment on the check and called them again. Once I let them know that I had put a stop payment they sent me to customer service to discuss it. The agent told me that they would be there between 8am-noon. I informed that I needed them closer to 8am as possible and that if they were not there by 11am that I would have to reschedule because I need to get to work. It is after 11am and I have not heard from them. The AC has gone completely out.

Response from Four Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning
June 6, 2017 Four Seasons completed a service call at [member name removed] home and her son was present for this appointment. We were asked to come to the home because the customer felt the unit was not properly cooling the home. Our technician advised at this time that the air conditioner unit needed to be cleaned and also found issues with the capacitor. The cleaning and repair were approved and the total charge after a $50 discount was $505.95, which included a lifetime guarantee on the repair. It was also advised at this time that the filter for the furnace needed to be changed. On 06/09/17, we were asked to return to the home due to the noise level of the unit. An appointment was scheduled for 06/13/2017. At this time, it was noted that there was an issue with the pressures, the unit was low on Freon, there was a restriction on the evaporator coil and the coil was clogged with dirt from the filter. Our technician advised we could not add Freon to the unit because it would cause the pressures to go higher and would eventually cause damage to the compressor. Our technician advised to replace the evaporator coil or purchase a new air conditioning unit. Estimates were left for both options. Our technician advised at this time this was not a result of anything completed by the prior technician that was at the home. This was due in part to continuing to run the unit without changing the filter. Four Seasons received notification that the customer had stopped the $505.95 payment for services rendered. In an effort to resolve the customer’s concerns, Four Seasons presented two options. We advised we could waive the amount owed ($505.95) or we could take that amount and put it towards a new unit. The customer expressed at this time that she was upset because she did not authorize the repairs that were completed (her son did) and she felt the unit was running fine (original call was for a service call because the unit was not properly cooling the home) until the capacitor was replaced and the cleaning was completed. Our Account Manager went over further options with the customer. We offered to; replace her system at a discounted price of $3,460, complete a coil cleaning for $727 or replace the coil for $1,080. Customer requested the time to discuss this further with her husband. Customer decided the same day to proceed with replacing the unit. [member name removed] advised at this time that she would be willing to update her Angie’s List review based on the customer service she was receiving to get this issue resolved. On the night of Friday June 23rd, the customer emailed the Account Manager she had been working with and expressed concerns over the unit that was being installed. She advised at this time that she believed they were receiving a higher quality, more energy efficient unit. Our Account Manager was unfortunately out of town, but did respond the following Monday, June 26th. It was explained to the customer that the Lennox 13ACX model, it is our most cost effective and most installed unit. The equipment she was previously running was an existing 10 seer system that we replaced with a 13 seer system. The new equipment is an upgrade from the old system with a much better efficiency rating as well. It was advised we could discuss a higher efficiency unit, but the price would be higher as well. [member name removed] responded back on July 7th letting us know she had reached out to Angie’s List for further assistance in regards to this. Four Seasons still has an open review for this customer. We are able to provide the customer with additional options, but we have not been able to reach the customer to go over these additional options.

The tech checked our filter but did not notice that the blower was set to the lowest setting causing the weak pressure. He said there was probably a leak and then quickly recommended buying a new a/c unit, though ours is less than 10 years old. We got a second opinion and they recommended a leak sealant that will hopefully allow the unit to last up to its expected life (15-20 years).
Description of Work: Our air conditioner was blowing air very weakly and the air wasn't cold. We needed someone to diagnose the issue.

After they disconnected all the coolant lines, and connected gauges, the company returned 4 days later to say the leak was in the condenser. Originally I was told the leak was in my coils. They were originally planning to replace the coils for the same $1380 before I was talked into the leak test. I was stuck with this company they already had my $1380.00. Employees on the phone are arrogant. Leak test took the installers ten minutes to complete. Scammed
Description of Work: air conditioner repair, two weeks after having my early $89.00 no break down guarantee, 20 point inspection tuneup. No breakdown guarantee? Meaningless. The company will send someone out free of charge, but then scam you into a $1380 test. Claimed the leak test took 3 days to complete.

They are pretty good about coming out when I need them to. For maintain the warranty on the new air conditioning and furnace I had put in a couple of years ago. That's the guy I had to call and they honored a coupon I had. It turned out to be for the furnace and air conditioner. It was very, very cheap. They put the covers on their shoes to walk in the house. The service guy came out by himself and it was fine.

Please use ANYONE else for your HVAC needs. I wish someone had told us this when we purchased a new AC unit from them. My spouse and I work very hard, and this unscrupulous company took our hard-earned money and in return we received an average unit, shoddy installation and unknowingly were overcharged for everything. The unit already needs repairs, which are covered under warranty, that Four Seasons will not honor. Four Seasons tried to extort money from us, telling us they were choosing to void the warranty, because we did not pay them an additional $150+ per year to clean the unit. For nearly $2,000 we could pay for repairs and restore the warranty. Please, don't make the same mistake we did. Go somewhere else - literally ANYWHERE else.

Obviously, I went with Nuzzo Plumbing to get the job done.
Description of Work: I wanted a free estimate for a leaking kitchen faucet. The technician said to install a new faucet and 2 shut off valves would cost me $656. This did not include the faucet. After I expressed my shock he said that plumbing is expensive. But I have had valves installed before and they are cheap and the technician usually put them in under 15 minutes. I called another "A" star plumber and he installed my new faucet and valves in 1 hour and it only cost me $225!!. He also noticed that my water heater was supposedly put in wrong and the wrong size and that it could be dangerous. This was installed by Four Seasons (I found out later in checking my past records) in 2010. I have had no problems. Based on my experience I strongly suggest that customers check around. for both quality and price.

So far the prices are fair. There is nothing to say, except if I need them they will come. I haven't had any maintenance done. The only time I needed help was when my pilot light went out, and I did not know how to do it. That only took ten to fifteen minutes to do. The workers have always been pleasant. The installation went well. They called to let me know they were on the way. It took a good part of the day since there was a lot of work to be performed. They removed the old units and cleaned up pretty well. There was a problem with a sink drain getting clogged because the cement patch material was not flushed completely and it hardened in the U of the drain. It did take several visits before this was properly diagnosed and then cleaned out. Overall I was satisfied with the work.

They were on time. I have a 5 year contract with them. The workers are average to good, it depends on who they send. When I called to schedule the service, I asked for a Saturday date. I was told that Four Seasons no longer provides the annual furnace/AC checks on Saturdays due to the high amount of service calls. I told the agent again that I was not available during the week and needed a Saturday date. Then she proceeded to ask me if I had any time off. Seriously??? After I explained to your rep more than twice that I am not available during the week. I have been your customer for 15+ years and I shouldn't have to explain why or why not I'm not available to have my A/C serviced. Then I am advised that they need to get authorization to schedule the appointment. OMG! Now I need permission to have a unit that I purchased through your company to be serviced?? And when its approved, the next two Saturday dates she offers I'm unfortunately am not available and then the agent questions my availability. I hear from your agent, "You ask for a Saturday date, but you are not available for the dates I've offered?" Your agent made me feel like I was a child having to personally explain myself, when in fact, there was no need to. Four Seasons, you have forgotten who your customers are. Remember, it's me, the customer who calls you for service and refers your company to friends and family. What's sad is that I have personally referred friends and family to you whom have also purchased and installed new HVAC systems with you. I have personally had two systems installed myself. I've never had an issue like this before. Anytime I've had any issues, I've always picked up the phone and was always taken care of. I even called back and spoke to a supervisor and was given the same run around as the agent that I previously spoke to. Wow, you want the customers to buy and replace systems but when it comes to service, we're no longer a priority. You have forgotten service is where you really make your bread and butter? I think you also forgot that as a customer, my money is as green as it gets and I can take it anywhere I want to. After my experience, I now have lost all confidence in you. If this is your level of customer service and how you treat your customers, I will take my business elsewhere.

Four Seasons is who I use for my heating and air conditioning. I'd give them an A for their service. For price, compared to other places, I'd give an A.
Description of Work: They come out and clean, and they have done some other things too over the years I've been using them. Last time they tuned up for heating for the Winter. It was for the Winter cleaning.

They’ve been great, we’ve been extremely pleased with them. They service furnaces and air conditioners and they will come out and replace them as well. If they are doing an installation, it is two guys that come out, if it is servicing, it is one guy. They left the area the same way it was when I left there.
Description of Work: We get our furnaces and air conditioners cleaned and serviced every year by them and we’ve had both of our furnaces and air conditioners replaced by them.

Not well. Paid show up fee problem not corrected. Gave bad information.
Description of Work: Heater not working. The person showed up and told us we needed to replace a certain part. The part cost approximately $100.00 dollars. They wanted $900.00 to install it and it would of taking them all of 5 minutes. Long story short, the part they said we needed was not correct. We replaced it and heater is still is not working. My husband said he received a sales call from them the day after the tech showed up. They don't seem interested in fixing your problem but more interested in selling a whole new furnace. Don't forget the $89.00 charge just to show up and give you bad information.
