Faithful Fences

I thought they did a decent job at the repair. The wood is a little different in color but I guess that is to be expected. They showed up on time and did the job I hired them to do and they did it well. What more could I ask of them?

I got an estimate on June 20 and they promised it'd be done for a wedding in our backyard on July 15. Since I was doing the fence removal myself, they said to have it out by July 9, which I did. They then called to tell me the work would be done on July 12-13 (the party was on the 15th). They did not show up on the 12th, and I had to call to find out what was happening (they said supply problems). They did show up on the 13th, and did not complete the work but said they'd come back the next day when I was to be putting up a tent, so I had to wait for them to complete the work in my back yard before beginning my work to prepare for the wedding. When they came on 7/13, they had the wrong size gate. I had to wait at least another 2 weeks for the gate, which meant 3 weeks without a fence for my dog. The work quality was good, the rep was not proactive and slow to return calls, workers spilled something that killed part of the lawn. In September, still awaiting promised final inspection.

Great. They fixed the gate and made it a locking gate. They arrived when they said they would and finished the job in a swift and efficient manner. I am very pleased. It was a fairly small job so there's not much to say but they didn't blow me off like a lot of companies would and have.

Only contractor we could get to come out and give us an estimate. Guess the others were too busy or the job wasn't big enough. First, estimate from this contractor was confusing and wrong. We requested another. We got it. Price was the same, but now we could see what we were getting. Job went o.k., but gates didn't have that scrolly thing on top. Wanted contractor to put on as there were open holes where water could get in. Took contractor 3 weeks to do this. We immediately sent a check for remaining balance. Contractor was quick to tell us it he didn't get it. We canceled check and contractor came over for check. Check was either lost by Post Office or by contractor. It never came back in the mail.

Work and craftsmanship was solid, gate works fantastic. There were a few very minor issues after the gate was installed. It seemed to settle a bit which required deepening of the hole in the concrete. Also, an incorrect doorknob was installed initially. Faithful Fences was HIGHLY responsive to these minor hiccups and took care of everything promptly and that responsiveness reflected more positively on them than the hiccups. I would use them again as well as recommend them to others. Pricing was quite fair.

Contact person was Jessee Ibarra and my experience with him was horrible. I heard about the company because I saw them install a door for my neighbor. When I saw he was part of Angie's List I thought that was just icing on the cake. However, Mr. Ibarra never showed up for our first scheduled meeting time which by the way I missed half a day of work to meet with him. When I called to inquire what had happened he explained he was having a little work issue and was left to resolve it. I understood and we agreed we would meet the following day between 1 to 1:30. Mr. Ibarra never came until the evening mind you I had rescheduled my things to meet with him again. He came took measurements however would not give me a price on the spot as the other people I had met to get quotes. He said he would fax a proposal to me. I never received the fax and that was the last I heard of him.

Jeff was great at staying connected and working out a time for an estimate. He was very patient and understanding when I wasn t able to meet him initially. Once the estimate was given, it took about 4 weeks for the materials to be ordered and the work to begin. The first day of work was a little frustrating because I took off from my full-time job, and the crew showed up late and only dug the holes for the wood fencing. They finished up the next day, and the work was excellent. The mesh for the front gate was installed later that week. Although the workmanship didn t meet my expectations, it wasn t bad. After this work was done, we decided to have the aluminum fencing installed for the back of our building. Once the order was placed, it took almost 8 weeks for the materials to come in. I spoke to Jeff about this, and he was very understanding and said that the company the supplies come from was at fault. However, once the materials came in, the work was complete in about 2 weeks.

We were very pleased with the work completed. Jeff was very responsive to our initial call to get an estimate. He was able to accommodate our work schedule. He provided a very thorough estimate, nothing hidden. We had a total of three estimates and Faithful Fences was one of the three. We also drove by a home that recently had a new fence installed and it was very nice and exactly what were were looking for. We stopped and asked who did the work and it was Faithful Fences. They came to do the installation within the time frame that they provided when we signed the contract. They removed and hauled away the old fence, installed the new fence and cleaned up after their work. We are very pleased with the work completed. The top of the fence is straight and they were able to make the adjustments on the bottom as we requested. Jeff was very good about trying to find solutions to any of the questions that we had. Great work!

Jim was very helpful in guiding us through the whole process, he had pictures of his work and of different fence types. We scheduled the work and he came out with his crew at the exact time he said he would. His crew was professional and they actually made a change in the design per my request when I went to inspect their work during my lunch hour. They completed the work in less than 2 days and the quality was outstanding, they cleaned up the site very well. I would recommend them to anyone. GREAT JOB FAITHFUL FENCES! Rob

Jeff came out and gave me several options. These were to blend in with the existing fences on either side. There were a couple of obstacles (one being the neighbors dog) but he was able to give me an estimate I was happy with. They were able to come out and do the work, and when we discovered (as Jeff wanted to inspect the finished product himself) that one of the locks on the gates was not working, I was prioritized to make sure that the locks were changed and that everything was working correctly. The team had some tough challenges (the dog, having to break through about 6-8 inches of concrete) but it was done quickly and correctly.

Jim was extremely unresponsive, it took him over 4 weeks to produce a quote when he said it would take him one. He did not return phone calls and when he finally did quote the project it came in over $140k. I then asked him for just a quote for a set of access stairs to the deck, he asked why I wanted that, then said he would give me a quote 3 days from the discussion. Two weeks later he had not provided a quote and would not return my calls or take my calls in the office. This was the most dragged out unprofessional experience I have ever had.

The process was fantastic. Jeff Chmielinski gave us an estimate on the spot after seeing our property and going over the fence options that we had. After choosing a cedar fence Jeff scheduled the installation 3 weeks in advance (busy time of year). The fence was installed exactly on time from the date we signed the contract and installation only took one day. The fence is absolutely beautiful and the workmanship is top notch. We encountered one minor issue with the fence not allowing our old gate to shut properly. I called Jeff to explain the issue and the problem was resolved within 48 hours. I would highly highly recommend this company if you are looking for a fence, especially a quality wood fence. We will not hesitate to use them again.

Great experience. Jim was always on time for our appointments, is very knowledgeable and easy to reach by phone. They cut the fence on-site. Took 1.5 days to complete. Quote was a little higher than one other company we looked at, but we were more comfortable with Faithful Fences because of their professionalism.

They came day earlier, because the day it was scheduled to be done, weather reports called for rain. They finished the next day and were very courteous and cleaned everything up. We would recommend them to everyone. They did an excellent job!

This estimate was at least $2,000.00 above other bids and not a superior product. In addition, the representative had no brochure to leave with me and no samples of the product to show me. Frankly, I do not know how they can do business in this manner.

The crew was very polite/helpful. The fence looks beautiful and many neighbors have commented on how remarkable it looks. We are quite satisfied with the craftsmanship of the work and the quality of the materials used. On the downside, Jim was difficult to reach at times and we found ourselves repeatedly having to phone the office due to his voice mail being full or his phone calls going unreturned. The lady in the office was very kind so she was a pleasure to deal with in that regard. The job was supposed to take 3 days. It took over 3 weeks, despite weather was dry/beautiful. Corrective measures were taken after we'd expressed concern over a gate, but it now looks lovely. Unfortunately, we've asked twice, yet we STILL have not received any info on how to care for our fence and keep it beautiful...even though the job was completed weeks ago. That's been upsetting and disappointing.

The professionalism and commitment that Jim brought to this engagement cannot be overstated. One set of neighbors did not speak English and we had a lot of difficulty trying to determine how to communicate to them about the fence project. Jim enlisted his son (who speaks Polish) to talk to the neighbors. He and his son helped to discuss the project with them, and then to address and resolve all of the issues that came up in discussions with them. Unlike many other contractors I have hired, Jim called in advance to let me know that his team was coming to get started on the project. Jim was extremely courteous and professional throughout the process, and he answered all questions patiently and clearly. His team was professional and courteous when they were on site, and they even made some small "mid-course" changes when things deviated a little from planned. Jim took the repsonsibility to visit the site to make sure things were on track, and to follow up to make sure we were happy.

It is easy to see why Faithful Fences is so highly rated on Angie's List. Based upon others reviews, we contacted this company for a quote. Jeff Chmielinski prompted returned my call and set up an appointment to meet us at our new home. He was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. He came prepared with photographs of various examples of their work. They scheduled an appointment to build the fence around our schedule. The grade and quality of the lumber was top notch. The work crews were professional and highly skilled. The end result was flawless and we just love how well the fence came out. Jeff personally followed up and came to inspect the work. Our neighbors are so impressed that they have now hired Faithful Fences. Superior work and product all around. It was a pleasure dealing with such competent, skilled people. We would absolutely hire them again.

I called and spoke to Jim on April 10th to ask for an estimate. He said that he would get back to me in about a week with an estimate. He did not call me back. I followed up two weeks later on April 24th and left a message inquiring about the progress of my request and never received a call back. He asked me how I got his company name and I told him Angie's List. I was surprised because of the rave reviews his company has received.

The whole process went smoothly. Jim Chmielinski came by to look at the job site and he gave me an estimate on the spot. Once we decided to go with Faithful Fences, the work was scheduled. The crew showed up exactly as planned. They showed pride in their work and communicated well to make sure I received exactly what I wanted. They were also very courteous and respectful of my property. I like a company with high standards that values it's customers.

I am EXTREMELY pleased with Faithful Fences and would definitely hire them again. Bob was very pleasant to work with and was deeply committed to my satisfaction on this project. He was also very responsive to my initial call and gave me an estimate on the spot. When I gave him a 50% deposit that night, he told me I'd have a new fence within two weeks. Two weeks later, I have a new beautiful fence in my backyard. The crew completed the fence in only a day and a half, and was very sensitive to my neighbors throughout. They also did a great clean-up job afterwords. I definitely recommend them to my fellow Angie's Listers!!

Whenever I saw Jim, he came punctually, and I could contact him at his cell phone almost every time we needed to talk to him. He is honest, sincere and very ethical. I had the best experience with Faithful Fences among the builders I have associated. Everything went very well and was done far in advance of the schedule.
