Another great report for Jim Chmielinski! Jim worked with me to custom build a fence that I designed. He is friendly, responsive and professional. He was creative in desiging a solution to a few problem areas. His crew, lead by Bennie, were also friendly and professional. I am very particular. The fence turned out beautifully, even the neighbors love it. I have been dealing with various types of contractors lately, and Jim is one of the only ones who shows up when he says he will and responds promptly to calls. What a relief! Great job.

Jim came to our house promptly and provided an estimate that was on par with other quotes we received. The fence was installed within weeks and is a real beauty. The guys did the work while I was at work, and I came home to very little mess. Would use again.

Jim and his crew were great to work with in every way. They were all punctual, dependable, helpful, and considerate. Jim was great to work with, particularly considering the odd, challenging situation that my project presented.

Our overall experience with FF was very positive. Their representatives, Mike Menditto and Jim Chmielinski were both helpful and knowledgeable, and proved open to changes and additions that were requested to the ongoing job. We felt their prices were fair, and they were the only company that was able to offer the buried fencing, as well as the locking hardware to the gates, which gave us a much-needed boost to our sense of security. The only problems we encountered were due to misunderstandings that arose from a lack of consistent communications, and these were as much our fault as theirs. Overall, we would enthusiastically recommend this company to anyone.

An appointment was made to provide a free estimate on a Tuesday evening. Nobody from the company showed up at our house or bothered to call to let us know they would not be able to make it. We will definitely not use this company for any work in the future. I am questioning how they got the name ''Faithful Fences'' if they were not faithful enough to show up for an estimate.

Initially, Faithful Fences took two days to return our call, which seemed a bit lengthy. However, Mike Menditto arrived early to do the estimate on the date we agreed upon. Quite surprisingly, he did not bring any photos of fence styles and would not give us an initial written estimate as every other contractor we spoke to did. He only verbally gave us an initial $2,500 estimate. He said he would prefer to email us photos of different styles of cedar fence. After an initial email, I asked him for photos of three styles we were considering. After two days he wrote that he would email additional styles soon. We never heard back from him. I am glad we did not hire this company considering that they did not seem to care about our business. We ended up using Rustic Wood Fencing, with whom we were very pleased.

They never called back. I guess I'm not faithful enough.

I talked directly to the owner Jim. He indicated that he would stop by the next day to look at the job. He happened to be in the neighborhood and stopped by later the same day. We appreciated the quick response but would have preferred a phone call to let us know he was there. He startled our nanny and son by just entering the backyard without any notice. Jim indicated he would call with a quote the next day. Two days passed and I had to follow-up with him for the quote. His quote was a little high but reasonable. The biggest reason we decided to go with another company (The Fence Store/Premier Fence)was that he did not have a good solution for working around a tricky corner with the wrought iron (he was just going to use mesh fencing to bridge the gap). His solution did not seem as durable or provide us with the level of safety that we need for our young, active son.

We were very, very pleased with our experience with this company. My husband deals with contracted services every day at his company and he found his dealings with Jim to be true, honest and timely. Jim was competitive with his pricing and on-time right when he said he would be. The men who worked on our yard were courteous and friendly to my curious three year old son. I liked them so much, I gave them muffins I'd made. They did a remarkable job. Great attention to detail, digging down through concrete to pour concrete and digging carefully around 2 large trees right on the property line. Overall I give them a A+++.

We had a GREAT experience with Jim and his crew! Our tilting fence is now sturdy as can be, and the new fence the crew made is really beautiful - high quality wood and great appearance!

I had a great experience with Faithful Fences. Jim seemed very experienced. I received 3 quotes. His price was equal to one quote, and 1/2 the price of the other quote. He took care of the permit (the other companies that I met with do not). The locks on my gates seem great, he matched it to our house key. I would highly recommend Faithful Fences to everyone.

Jim's crew built the fence on the spot from boards, so the fence posts & scallops match the space perfectly. They were here early in the morning on each day & left the work site very clean. We are very happy with the workmanship- wish we'd had the fence built a year ago! I'd recommend Jim & his company to anyone who needs a fine-quality fence.

Jim returned the call promptly, which is a big deal in my book. Although one meeting was missed and had to be rescheduled, there were no other hitches and the work was done on schedule, on time and done well.

Mr Chmielinski returned my calls promptly. I have been looking at fences around the city for several years, wishing for some privacy of my own. I now have the most attractive fence of all. They even made a dutch door on the alley side of my property (for easy trash disposal). It works perfectly. Workers were polite and neat. My experience with Faithful fences was a good one and I would recommend them.

Jim Chmielinski took the time during the initial estimate to explain the benefits of his fence over competitors' and described the whole process up front. Although we ran into a snag because the manufacturer was backlogged, Jim and his crew made sure our fence was up before a very important function we were hosting, even working in the pouring rain and cleaning up thoroughly. I am very happy with this fence and everyone from Faithful Fences. Jim came over twice and figured out what we wanted, then came back the day work started and the day it was finished to check on the work. The crew was on time, did a beautiful job and cleaned up everything. Jim took care of obtaining a permit necessary in Chicago, for which I separately paid 120.00. Cedar fences are not cheap, Faithful Fences' price was in line with that of a competitor. They gave me a 100.00 Angie's List member discount. I will definately use Faithful Fences again!
