Left a message for Douglas and didn't receive a reply within a couple days so I called back and spoke to a representative and requested a site visit to receive a quote. They stated that they would call me back to set up an appointment. When they hadn't called back in a couple more days I called again at which time they stated that they were too busy to give me a quote or to do the work.

Douglas came over a couple of days ago and discussed the electrical work we would like to be completed. He will be sending us an estimate in a few days.

Came the next day, an hour late, but completed the work in one visit, it works fine, and they left NO mess. Said he would mail a bill, but I haven't received it yet.

Very courteous and efficient, very flexible with our limited time availability.

Douglas' representative came out quickly, was very kind, courteous and seemed to really know what to do. He was thorough - went as far as checking that the whole house was working before he left. Even with their travel fee, they were very competitively priced - especially for how quickly they could come out.

Doug's guys were great. They cleaned up after themselves, fixed all the problems, did not try to sell me on anything, and did a wounderful job.

Although my problem was not solved by the electrician (I am purchasing new fixtures), he was reliable, he was on time, he was pleasant and polite, and he was very honest about what he was and was not finding. I will most likely be hiring them to install new lighting fixtures in my home.

Dave the electrician was on time, very professional, and nice. We made a mistake and were not at our home at the agreed upon time, but Dave simply rescheduled the appointment. We appreciated his understanding. He charged us the agreed upon price.

Timely, friendly, quick. Would use them again. I'm not sure how much electrical work typically costs - I was surprised at the price, but if that's the going rate so be it. The Angie's List discount was applied on my bill.

Doug did excellent work, ran out to get the required piece without charging extra, work was done quickly and professionally. Very pleasant experience overall.

From the first call to Douglas to the work performed by Dave, the experience was excellent. Douglas returned my call promptly and provided a clear explanation of the estimated charges (hourly rate, trip charge, materials, etc.), so there were no surprises when I received the bill. Dave was punctual, efficient and very professional. I would not hesitate to call Douglas again.

Douglas Electric did an excellent job. Doug was responsive and professional in arranging for the job. The electricians, Dave and Rich/Richard, worked efficiently and well. I compared cost with one another electrician--it was the same. Of the total, the 200 amp service was $2,500. I believe it was a fair price, not a bargain. With electrical work, you really want it done right, though. If you're getting new service or installing a new panel, I recommend asking about what panel the electrician will install. Well regarded ones include Siemens and Square D QO.

Very high quality work. Workers were extremely professional and courteous. One even came over after his shift to correct a problem.

Douglas was on time and very honest. He spent about 45 minutes looking over the work and commented that he thought his services may not be required and that the fix was very simple. This company is very interested in retaining the top Angie rating.

I was informed when I called that they do not give estimates for ''this kind of work,'' and was quoted their hourly rates (including a trip charge). Their rate was slightly than a couple of other estimates I received. While I essentially was given the same type of estimate by everyone that came, it did not inspire confidence in me to hire them based on this alone.

The electrician made some very helpful suggestions, however was unable to find the problem with the outdoor motion detectors, and did a poor job installing a new light because there was a joist where the new light was to go. Instead of using a decorative bolt (which is an integral part of the design)to secure the light, he used a large washer and a black screw.

The guys at Douglas were extremely nice and fast. They were prompt in getting us our quote and got the job done quickly. In addition, they were very honest, telling us exactly what they felt we needed, whereas other electricians tried to sell us new electrical & equipment that was up to $10,000 more!

I called for an estimate (emailed actually) and they called about a week later. By that time I had found someone else.

Company did not return my phone call asking them to do electrical work for me. I did say on my message that I had gotten their name from Angie's List.

The electrician was on time, and very communicative when to expect him. He was very professional in appearance and cleanliness. He was very knowledgeable and efficient while working. He was very quick to show me what he was doing, and answered questions related to household wiring. Douglas Electric was very professional and responsive to my requests.
