I wanted a proposal about fixing a water drainage problem in my backyard by using replacement block or concrete. A rep came by and looked at the issue, took some measurements, and said he would get back to us, but never did.

Provider rescheduled original appointment and provided notice. Provider was professional, came out looked at the project listened to what we were looking for, took some notes and said he would get back to me in a week or two. Never heard from him again. If you do not want the work that is fine. My feelings will not be hurt. Just say you do not want the job. Easy enough.

They are very friendly and prompt. The items I chose were not all the items that were installed. Even with photos provided and us reviewing exactly what I wanted. Once finished, they are hard to get in contact with.

This was one of my first searches after joining Angie's list and was excited to see such positive reviews about Diaz Company. I had spoken with a few other landscapers and for one reason or another they did not inspire great confidence. I had a wonderful phone conversation with a gentlemen whose name I cannot now recall, but who was definitely management. He assured me that Diaz handled just the type of residential project I was contemplating and that in spite of the busy season they could get a surveyor out to see my garden and so that I could explain in greater detail what I needed and what was reasonable for my budget. I also informed him about a potentially health threatening mold situation developing in my garden that he was particularly sympathetic to and went to great lengths to schedule someone to come out within a few days. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone seemed to be a real professional, unfortunately, the project manager sent to my home was not. He was a fairly young guy who seemed to be in a very big hurry from the moment I opened my door. When I showed him to my garden terrace I explained to him (1) the immediate and potentially hazardous problem I had with respect to a dead tree that was spawning very large mushrooms of fungi in my container garden. I explained to him that I had a deathly allergic to certain mold and fungus and that the first order of business had to be to remove the dead tree, any remnants of the fungi and put down a germicide. The project manager blithely dismissed my concerns saying that the growth of fungus in gardens was normal - when I told him that I had owned my home for 12 years and it had never occurred once before, he then said that it was probably due to the dead tree, which I concurred with. In any event, I told him that the tree and the fungi were the number one priority, followed by replanting a new tree, some new ground cover and if the budget allowed, some annuals. We then talked budget. It seemed as though all that I needed might be outside my budget, but the project manager said he would draw up an estimate and that his turnaround time to get back to me would be 24 hours. That was over 3 months ago. I never heard from him or anyone at Diaz again. Perhaps my initial budget didn't warrant this gentleman's time and energy, but as karma would have it, circumstances shifted and I was able to devote substantially more to my terrace project. In all, the Diaz project manager's attitude was dismissive and hurried. I'm not sure why he bothered. As I own my own professional services business, I was appalled at his attitude, but I was willing to consider his company's estimate. I never got the chance and that was likely for the best.

Diaz Group was an outstanding service. I had three different landscaping companies come out to give us estimates and opinions about our backyard, which was a mess. Of the three, Diaz Group was the only one who arrived on time, which is important to me. Additionally, Rafael was very friendly and gave me his honest opinion of the work. He wasn't just there to give me a quick estimate and go, he was invested in the direction we wanted to take our yard and offered his professional advice. I received a quote shortly after he left. Of the three they were somewhere in the middle, so I would rate them as a competitive option pricing wise. I was very impressed by the estimate meeting, but I was blown away by the actual work. Due to weather we had to start a day or two late but they were very prompt in letting me know of the delay. On the service date the team arrived on time and incredibly had the work done in around six hours. They left no mess behind and let me spot check the lawn with them to make sure they didn't miss anything I wanted done. We are now a month in and our lawn is the envy of the neighborhood. Instead of having an ugly back yard that I am afraid to show I can now have people over with pride. The sod has held brilliantly and everything looks great. I still can't believe these guys could craft such a beautiful lawn from the pit that it was before. I will go no where else but Diaz Group for my future landscaping needs.

Great. Omar was great and on top of his game. However, the company is very high priced for the work that needed to be done. If you got the money to spend they are an awesome company, but I have contacted several other companies that will do the same work for half the price.

Rafael came out to our house and gave us a quote for landscaping in our front yard and pavers in our backyard. He was very professional, punctual and friendly. The quote came out to be quite a bit higher than we'd like to spend so we decided to go with another company.

We've been using Diaz Bros now for about a year for weekly lawn care and spring/fall cleanups. The weekly lawn care costs is very competitive (approximately $100/month for our very large lawn). The Spring clean up was a little high for what they did (no mulching, mostly sweeping debris and aerating the lawn). On one occasion an employee did knock into our wood playset in back with a riding mower. Even though made the whole unit shake and it would have been impossible to miss, the employee ignored the incident. If I had not been looking outside at that exact moment, would have missed it. Went out to talk to the employee but he didn't speak English and he didn't bring over his supervisor at all. When pressed, the employees on site told me no one spoke English with them, which was odd. I called to complain and one of the Diaz Bros said his brother should have been there and he promised to talk to the crew, which was fine with me. Wasn't looking for compensation, just want them to be careful.

They did quite a lot of services for me for the past two years and I was very happy with them.

Rafael and his crew did an amazing job in transforming our front, back and side yards from a sorry concrete & river rock eye sore to an amazing urban oasis! The crew ran off the truck ready to work and were pleasant and diligent throughout the long project. We get so many compliments on the pavers and have not had any issues with water getting to our basement stairwell. Our yard looks so beautiful and we are very happy that we chose Diaz Group to complete this large and complicated landscaping overhaul! We will definitely use them again in the future!

We scheduled an estimate with Diaz after having a couple other quotes from other landscapers. Omar came out to our house on a Friday evening and was very punctual. It took about a week to get the drawings and proposal, but the price blew the others away and the details really didn't differ much. It took a little while to hear back about when they would perform the work, but once they selected a date, they showed up on time and completed the work. The new landscaping does look great. The trees and plants are in excellent condition. We would not hesitate to hire Diaz again to do other projects around our home.

about 6 months later the japanese maple tree died, we called the diaz group repeatedly for help and an explanation and couldnt get a response from anyone. we finally gave up and called a new company to replace the dead tree when they lifted it out of the ground they said the reason three died is because they didnt take the plastic off the root of the tree, so it wasn't able to grow. Diaz group is a horrible mismanaged company and i would highly recommend anyone else.

Seriously? I swear these guys advertise that they do both residential and commercial lawn care, having read a review as recent as January 2014 saying how fabulous they were at what I presumed to be residential lawn clean up. Okay so I call today...phone rings forever, finally a guy answers and proceeds to say they don't do residential work at all. I said, then you need to change your Angie's List info because it doesn't read that way. He says, yes, we have to address that. I think I don't believe him...if you're too busy just say so. I even checked their website and there doesn't seem to be any verbage that suggests they only do commercial properties. Moving on... signed, Very annoyed.

We were really happy with this crew, they did what they said they would do and when we asked for some improvements (more sand between bricks, different gravel on the parking space) they did as asked

They were okay. It was pretty good and it was what I expected. The price when they came in for doing like a patio in the back seems to be really high for what I was looking for. I didn't go with that but I did have them filled the dirt in the front lawn. It was okay but there was a lot of clay and it was hard to work with. We planted grass on top of it but it took awhile to catch on and it has few spots that need maintenance afterwards. Overall, it turned out pretty good.

Diaz does an excellent job taking care of our lawn. But often in their haste to complete the job they damage plants of ours that are near the edge of the grass with their string trimmers.

I had been using the same landscaping service for years and I was never very happy with the results. They would never fully clean up the yard after themselves and would show up late/not at all sometimes. A family friend recommended Diaz Group so I got an estimate and decided to give them a shot. Their team arrived promptly at the scheduled time and got to work immediately. I watched them work from my window and it looked like they were acting very professional and got the job done within 30 minutes or so. Everything was cleaned up afterwards and I was impressed with the results. I know how a Diaz team come by once every two weeks to cut my grass. Thanks guys!

Have used Diaz for 6 years now, every spring summer and fall, they maintain our landscaping. Very professional and friendly. Their crew is always here when expected and do everything promised! Will keep using them for years to come!

For those who have attempted to work with landscaping company's in the past, let me just say the Diaz group is in a league of their own. I contacted Diaz Group via email and setup an appointment. On the appointment date Rafael arrived on time. I explained to him what we were thinking of doing with the space. He offered some suggestion and walked me through a basic drawing. After the initial visit about 5 days later he sent me the pre-lim cost estimates and graphic sketch. We finalized the plans during a second visit and work began on the scheduled date as promised. The company worked entire full work days and didn't leave the site until the job was completed. The finished product was better than expected! Again for those who have dealt with other landscapers that don't answer calls, never finish the job, or do a poor service, Diaz was great.

They were wonderful. They did a beautiful job.

WOuld not come to my address so they sent a refund. I was very frustrated.

The quote was $400, it was for soil removal and tiding up at the backyard.
