Short story: Foreman accused me of lying about something they broke and this project is still unfinished nearly five weeks after work begun. The project involved leveling the patio, which had sunk, and reconstructing a retaining wall, which had also settled. In order to fix the patio, Diaz had to move our hot tub. First, the retaining wall was not done correctly—their rebuild was shorter in height than the wall on the other side of the patio stairs. After this was pointed out to the foreman, they sent a crew over a few days later to even out the retaining wall, which looks good now. However, they still have not returned (four weeks later) to clean up the mortar and other stuff which is splattered all over the patio bricks. The other issue was that they damaged our hot tub when they moved it. When they came out to repair it at first, the foreman accused me of lying about the hot tub being broken. I told him that I did not appreciate being accused of dishonesty. They attempted a repair, which failed. They told me they needed to order a part. That apparently took 3 weeks. The part was installed and the repair failed. We then had another wait while they figured out that they needed to hire a professional to do the work. After a few more days, the hot tub was repaired and now works correctly. However, their contractor left trash all over the place. We are still waiting for the crew to return to finish cleanup, over five weeks after the job was begun. The only good thing has been the communication—their representative has consistently been responsive and apologetic for the issues, but this doesn't change the fact that the workmanship has been poor and the job has taken far too long to finish.

I highly recommend Diaz Group for any landscaping work. They do a Great job. On time, reliable and work speaks for itself. Will never use another company.

The estimator was knowledgeable, on time and courteous. However, he never provided an estimate, even after I followed up/called to ask when it would come and was told it would be provided. Just never heard from them again. I think they are more geared to commercial jobs, and they are probably very good for those customers, but if you have a residential project, I'd suggest not wasting your time asking them for a proposal.

Ricardo, sales representative and lead estimator, was very responsive; the estimate was competitive, but the difference was that the crew could begin work in mid-October and complete it before bad weather set in. Crew came on time Monday morning, completed the entire job by Thursday. The paver work on the driveway was of very good quality and the stone work replacements for the front step pavers was excellent. (No more problems with loose pavers!) They didn't do a good cleanup at all and left a portion under the garage door not well done, but the Diaz Group gave immediate attention to the paver portion under the garage and corrected it. My only gripe is that the main crew didn't cleanup and was left with the cleanup. Ricardo did set a good price for an add-on, however. These guys do good, honest work. I recommend Diaz Group LLC.

Great experience. Roberto Diaz was terrific in quoting & managing project -- including handling unforeseen challenges...very willing to work with us to achieve desired results. Extremely pleased & would use again / recommend.

Met with designer and received proposal. Made changes to design and was to receive another proposal. Designer went on medical leave and no one followed up. Contacted the office and was told someone would contact me. I never heard from anyone. When designer returned from leave she followed up to see if I had been contacted and if I was still interested. I declined and she apologized.

We ended up not using this company due to their slow response time to questions and formal proposals.

They shows up on time and did a thorough job. Very professional.

I got an appointment with them on the 24th of august to get some estimates. Someone did come and saw what it need it to be done. He said he will email me the estimates. After a month no estimates at all. I email them three times and I just gave up. I email them again to thank them for wasting my time and I would no longer need it there terrible service.

From beginning to end the process was timely and professional. The workers were conscientious, polite and very hard working. Our front and back lawns are are completely transformed. I highly recommend Diaz.

I worked primarily with Roberto Diaz, but had communication with others at the business as well. They were all very responsive. Roberto provided a quote in a timely fashion and they were able to fit me into their schedule relatively quickly. Initially the work was supposed to be done on a Thursday, but due to equipment problems, the project was delayed a day. The entire project was completed in one day as promised. They graded my lot (25X160), laid additional soil and seeded the lot. I was not able to be home to oversee the project but I was satisfied with the quality of the work.

Diaz was willing to do the job when nobody else was doing this kind of work so late in the season. They did the job promptly and with a high level of professionalism and quality. I will be hiring them again this fall.

Ruben and his crew did a fantastic job on this labor intensive demo project. They showed up on time and stayed until the project was complete. This was our first phase for this project. When we decide to proceed with creating a uniquely landscaped backyard we will be calling back Diaz Group. Roberto was the primary contact and was helpful in coordinating the estimate and work date.

Roberto Diaz and his team did a tremendous job on our backyard patio, walkways, and steps. Roberto provided us with a very thorough estimate at the start and listened carefully to what we envisioned. He and his team worked diligently and delivered a knockout backyard -- worth every penny spent. Further, Roberto is an exceptional person; we felt we were in good hands and that he understood what we wanted and knew how to get us to the goal. Very nice people and we highly recommend this company.

I made an appointment one week in advance. They no called, no showed. Very combative and rude. I was at the door waiting for him at appointment time. When I called I explained to them I work nights that's why I scheduled it when I did. They said they called and I didn't answer that morning ( an hour a half earlier). They stated, "since I didn't answer they didn't come." Said I could reschedule for a week later, and that maybe I should have rethought about the time I choose to schedule.

Last Fall I needed my yard cleaned up very late in the season. I contacted Diaz Bros. in Nov. & they promptly sent a person out to give me an estimate. Then we had early winter storms. The weather cleared briefly and I was so impresses & grateful when the crew came out the day before Thanksgiving to do the work in my yard (trimming english ivy, leaf pick-up, trimming iris greens, mowing lawn). They did a great job. After that great experience, I contacted Diaz Bros. this May for an estimate on a bigger landscaping project. Their rep came out on May 8 and said I could expect an estimate in 5 - 7 days. When that deadline passed I contacted them by phone and did receive an estimate within the week. I had some corrections on plant selection on the contract which I delivered to them via e-mail. This is when the process fell apart. I heard nothing for over a week. I called back, talked with my rep & was promised a revised estimate by that evening. I never received it and there was no follow-up contact by Diaz. My rep had explained that he was having a family emergency & while I sympathize with that I think that there should have been someone in the organization that should have stepped in and at least communicated with me. So, I would say that if you need seasonal maintenance of your yard use Diaz. I do not recommend them for more elaborate landscaping needs. I rated Overall, Price & Quality based on my 1st experience and Responsiveness, Punctuality & Professionalism based on my 2nd.

It's very good. They were wonderful. The whole group was great. They were very prompt. They told me when they could do it and they were out there when they told me they made it. They're awesome. I would highly recommend them.

After coming to our home promptly to provide an estimate on the job, Mr Castro (logistics/sales) did the measurements and offered some suggestions. We then advised that we were constrained by a budget and time, that we had already spoken to other contractors, but liked potentially what he and his company had to offer, he responded that he would have our estimate/proposal by the end of the business day or early the next. As it turned out we heard nothing. We called him, his office and left a message. Two several days later, and after talking with other contractors, we did talk to Mr Castro and another employee of the company. He apologized and stated that the estimate/proposal was forthcoming. When we finally received it on line it was way above our targeted budget. It was much more than their competitors, but given the information we saw on Angie's List and the glowing reviews, we thought we would try to work something out - even if we had to go above our tight budget - and in light of our time constraints. Mr. Castro, and presumably his superiors, balked at reducing the price. We therefore lowered our expectations as to what we wanted and asked that they recalculate the cost. They seemed to take their sweet time about it. Plus, during subsequent conversations between Mr. Castro and my spouse, it seemed that they weren't particularly interested in our business, once again hesitating to come to a consensus on the final price. We even noticed an authorized change in the type of materials being used ( a difference in the brand/type of pavers to be installed). When we brought it to their attention they made the change but the bid was still too high. We didn't hear from them for about a week or more, by which time we decided to go with a different contractor that was willing to work with us. Given the great rating this company has had in the past I guess it has gotten to the point where they don't need to seek out business that doesn't exactly adhere to price that they set. As it turned out we did go over out budget, but the company we went with took the time to work with us an kept it on budget - and added some extras that they really didn't have to. Good customer relations goes a long way. NO ACTUAL SERVICE WAS PERFORMED OTHER THAN PROVIDING AN ESTIMATE/PROPOSAL.

We were incredibly impressed with Omar's responsiveness, detailed quotes and competitive pricing. We ended up not going with them because a friend of ours was able to cut us a pretty sweet deal, but in retrospect, I wish we had gone with Diaz Group, LLC.

They were professional. Their craftsmanship was good. They were compulsive for what they did. They did a good job.

It came out great. The patio and the plantings looked great and we are looking forward to being out in the year this spring. Rafael and his crew did a great job, were punctual, let everything clean and organized each day, and kept us informed about progress on the project.

Went well, on time, on budget, but follow up on questions has been poor.

We haven't had the work done yet. We will use them.
