It was an excellent experience. They were on time and had a fair price. What more could you want?

Job went well. The new door is great and looks sharp. It is an oversized door, so the darker custom color helps balance its size and perspective. The door is really sharp, and the new opener is good.

WHEN THE NEW DOOR MECHANISM DID NOT WORK, COMPANY STAYED WITH US; THEY SENT OVER A RETIRED ELECTRICIAN WHO SOLVED THE MYSTERY. COMPANY CAME BACK 3 WEEKS LATER WHEN I FOOLISHLY SNAPPED THE DOOR OFF TRACK, AND HELPED ME PUT IT RIGHT AGAIN.

They arrived well within the window we were given and had the thing installed and working within 30 minutes. They had given us a price over the phone for the opener, and the installer had a slightly better one in the truck that he installed for the same price.

Called the company and set up an appointment. Was given an estimate over the phone. Serviceman was on time, did the job quickly and efficiently. Left the old springs in the garage.

Derrick and his assistant (Geraldo) promptly replaced my existing door with an updated model. Communicated well and were punctual. They called in advance stating they were arriving. Explained the new model features. Upon calling the main office, Derrick also showed up the next day to do some final adjustments since my door was not closing correctly. Good experience.

The remote control was stolen from my car and I had no way of getting into my garage. I called Crystal Door to replace it. They were supposed to come on a Friday at 11:00am. When they were not there by noon I called, but there was no answer. The serviceman called me later that afternoon (3:30pm), but I was no longer home. Crystal Door called at 8:00am on Monday morning to reschedule the work. They came to my house at 8:00am Tuesday morning, as agreed, and did the work quickly.

I had a broken spring on my garage door and had no problems scheduling an appointment with them. They gave me an 8-10 AM window. Derek called 20 minutes before 8:00 to let me know he'd be there in 30 minutes, and showed up on time. Derek looked it over and recommended to replace both springs, which I appreciated since the second spring was completely rusted and had a good chance of breaking soon. He thought it would take 30-40 minutes, and he finished in 30. He also made some other small adjustments, replaced a missing bolt that secured the tension spring rod to the garage header (which if not installed could have caused a bigger issue) and gave me some basic insight into maintaining the springs, rollers & tracks. It's the small things that I appreciated such as calling to let me know he was on his way, being on time, and saving me another potential headache by replacing the missing bolt.

The old wooden door to my garage was not lifting. My assumption was that the opener needed to be replaced, but the technician tested it and determined that it was fine, but the door had jammed on the tracks. He offered the option of fixing the tracks or replacing the door, explaining that the door was too heavy for the opener and tracks, and it might break again. I opted for a new, inexpensive vinyl door. I provided a key to the garage so they could replace it on their schedule, and within 2 days I had a new door. They needed to be reminded to return the key, but other than that, everything was done to my satisfaction, and the door is working well. I would definitely recommend.

It seems their sweet spot is in GARAGE REPAIR, rather than in replacing garage doors. I really wanted to give them my business. Derek and Eric were very helpful, but I also needed to get my door ordered as it would take a few weeks to get it in. I went with another company for the door itself.

The young man arrived punctually on Saturday morning at 8 am per schedule and called us as he was on his way. He communicated the full possible scope of the job to us and let us know that he was able to do the job for less money than he originally quoted as he was able to reuse our cable (which had not broken, it only had come loose). I appreciated his honesty and his attention to the task at hand. He was able to repair the door in under an hour and was on his way.

It turned out to be a very simple problem, and they treated it as such. It was fixed on the spot. The driver was early for the appointment, and was relatively courteous.

Crystal Door was great. They arrived on time two different days. I'd given the concerns and parameters (I wanted to repair, not replace lift mechanics on an old wooden door), and they identified the person most likely able to the job. Josh was on time, did a great job, and then we discovered that some of the lift mechanics needed to be replaced. He came back the next day and finished the job. Josh was hard working, focused, communicative, and knowledgeable. I got what I wanted! He was very professional.

This was a pretty easy looking repair. Josh arrived right on time, at the beginning of our service window. He was fast with diagnosing the problem and also with making the adjustments. He was very polite and I'd be happy to hire Crystal Door again, if we need their services. I won't grade them on ''quality of work'' since this was really just a quick adjustment.

WONDERFUL experience! The guy on the phone really knew his stuff. They sent someone out to measure and give me an estimate, then installed it a few days later. The main installer, Derek, was very polite and friendly (and punctual). When they were done they cut up the old Masonite door and left the pieces for the garbage men. Derek made sure to tell his helper to clean up thoroughly, and when they left it was if they were never there. The door looks and works great, even though I bought the least expensive model. I would definitely recommend these folks to anyone.

Our garage door came off its tracks on Sunday around noon. Crystal Door called me back a few hours after I left a message on Sunday afternoon. He offered to have someone come out and fix it on Sunday, but said it would cost about $100 more than if we could wait till Monday morning. I elected to wait till Monday. Repairman showed up at 10 AM and was done by 11 AM. The work seems to be of high quality and door is working fine 3 weeks after repair. I will use them again if the need arises.

Eric called back promptly to explain that he was out of town and apologized that they wouldn't be able to help us immediately, but said that he could help us early next week. Very polite and courteous, which is much appreciated. We ultimately found another company to come out, but I wouldn't hesitate at all to call Crystal Door in the future.

They were prompt and came when they were supposed to. They completed the repair in ten minutes. It was great.

They contacted them via their website form for a garage estimate, after seeing their favorable ratings here. No response. Over a week later, I called at 8:30am. The phone rang and rang, no voicemail and no one picked up. As it had been 10 days and I had 3 other Angie's List estimates already (I called 4 companies at the same time as Crystal), I passed on them.

I was promised that they would be there early Wed morning. At 10:30 AM I called Eric. He was surprised and found that foreman decided to do job on other side of city first. Promised to be here at 1 PM. At 4 PM I called again Eric got foreman on phone with me. He said he was 20 minutes away. Had problems with old door - not their fault - credit, because they did get it out. Installed new door and explained preventive maintenance well. Mix up on discounts. Accepted coupon ($75), but wouldn't also give me senior discount. There write up did not make this clear. Did not paint new lumber installed to make opening, but that would have been very hard in the little time they gave themselves (worked from 4:30PM until 8:00 PM). Price a little higher than I expected. Overall - I think I got a good door at reasonable price, but they need to work on communication. Hired them on basis of Angie List without other bidders. Next time I get other bids.

Came out immediately after my phone call, when I had an emergency & could not open my garage door. Were very polite and professional. On the day of installation of the new door, Crystal Door needed to pick up the door somewhere quite far away, & were therefore late. All in all, quite good. Definitely recommend, also quite reasonably priced.

Setting up the appointment was very easy and the office staff very pleasant. Technician was prompt, friendly and efficient and didn't try to sell us more than we needed.

Derek responded on time and was absolutely professional and polite. He gave me extra advice on the maintenance of the garage door. I am quite impressed.

Crystal Door was very responsive. They sent a young man after hours at no extra charge to attend to a problem. I was completely satisfied.
