I called for a quote. The next day they had someone out with a detailed written quote. When I called to do the service they were out the next day. I did have a lower quote by about 10% but I asked if the company matched it and they did. I faxed them the other quote and they modified my price.

I was on vacation when my neighbor called me to say she couldn't get the garage door to stay down. With the help of others they were able to close the door, but she had to park on the street. She did not know who to call, so I went on-line to Angie's list and found Crystal Overhead Doors. They sounded like the best for what I needed. She called them, they came out the next day and did the repair. I was very pleased with results

Crystal Door repaired this at a tenth of the cost to replace it. If they had gotten back to me with the cost of a second remote I would have hired them to install the opener too. The guy they sent out was very nice. He worked late into the night, it was after 7 o?clock when he left. I was very grateful because I needed my car to get to work. I would hire them again.

The garage door was balky and wouldn't close unless we held the button down the whole time it was moving. The door didn't meet the garage floor properly; it had a gap of several incheas on one side. Plus there was a lot of "screechy" noise when the door went up or down. Crystal was very responsive; they were able to come out the same day we called them. They convinced us that the best way to fix the problem was to replace the "guts" of the system with a sturdier, more reliable mechanism. We ended up spending more money than we had expected to, but we decided to go with this solution because we would have spent more than half that much just to fix the existing system. We're hoping the door will function better and be less trouble-prone than it was before. So far this is the case, although it's only been a couple of weeks.

I called Friday afternoon and was able to schedule a visit and estimate for Monday morning to assess tearing at the middle seams in the garage door. Upon the visit, they scheduled garage door replacement for Tuesday morning. Although the company provides service windows (e.g. 8am-noon), I asked them to call ahead approx. 1/2 hour to let me know when they would be arriving. They were happy to do so, which allowed me to work uninterrupted until they arrived.

Had a problem opening my garage door - it would go up a few inches and then go back down again. Tried to do it manually and needed two people to lift door. Called Crystal because of their reputation and proximity to my house. Called them around 5pm on Monday evening and they asked me a few questions to see what the issue was and then said someone could be by the next day to give me an estimate and repair if the parts were on the truck. Gave me a couple of 4 hours window options. The next day the tech called to say he was about 15 minutes away and that he would call again from our alley once he arrived. Went out after he called and he said the one of our torsion springs (which balance the weight of the garage door) was broken and he suggested replacing both since it would likely break soon. He said their useful life is anywhere from 7 -15 years. We had ours about 9 years since we bought the house new. He quoted a price of $280 which was reduced by a 10% Angie's List coupon. He said it would take about 20 minutes to replace. My kids wanted to watch but he preferred they weren't there as he explained that with the springs and the coil the kids could get hurt accidentally. However he was okay with me watching and was willing to explain things to me and explain what I should do to keep the garage doors maintained.

We had to disconnect the safety cables as another company had bent the bracket on the garage door and broke it. Joe came out and installed a new bracket, reinstalled the safety cables, and made a number of adjustments so the garage door works better than ever!

The support on our 25-year-old door had broken, it was starting to bend at the top, and the door would not close frequently. the tracks were also bent. I thought we might need a need door, but in three minutes they assessed the problems, and fixed it within 30. It has been three weeks, and we haven't had another problem.

Came out right away and provided three options for us to fix our garage door. Came back the next day and finished when they said they would. Clean and neat.

On time, on budget, professional, gave a 90 day warranty on labor traveled from the north side to the south side.

I called Friday and they sent someone out Saturday. They said they would be here between 12 and 4. Andy called me at noon and gave me an update as to what time he would arrive. He came, diagnosed the problem and fixed it! He did it quickly and was very nice.

It went well. They were responded quickly. They came and did the work, there were no problems. They were reasonably priced.

It worked out very well. He came out and got the work done. He was very punctual. I asked him for tips about maintaining the door. He also suggested newer safety features that were available. He was not trying to sell me anything, but being helpful.

It went just fine. The fellow who was very polite and helpful. The garage was opening on its own, I had some difficulty getting them to understand the immediacy of the problem they had to come twice, but the problem was resolved.

He did a good job. It was the worst winter storm day of the winter. He was missing a part, so he went and came back later with the part. He fixed the door opener and did a thorough job. He was professional, responsive, and the quality of work is good. My overall experience with him was good.

I called Crystal late morning, and we scheduled a service call for the next day, late afternoon, with the possibility that Crystal might be able to stop by the same day (day of my phone call). That was exactly what happened. Crystal called me via my cell while I was on my way home from work. We met at my home and the serviceman diagnosed the problem, fixed the door, honored my Angie's List coupon, and that was it. I am very happy with their service.

During the extreme temperatures in late December, my garage door cracked at the center of the top panel and one of the support arms was bent. I called Crystal Doors based on Angie's List recommendations and proximity to my home. They sent someone out the next day for an estimate. Though I was given a 4-hour window for when the employee would arrive, I got a call after 3 and a half hours into my wait telling me there was some misunderstanding with the scheduling so he could not get to my home within the 4-hour window. As irksome as this is to me, at least they called, albeit after I had already waited at home for almost 4 hours. The fellow showed up within an hour of calling and 5 minutes later had explained I needed a replacement door and provided an estimate of $750. This was on a Saturday and I was told that they could install the door Monday afternoon. Good thing I was home that Monday, because they showed up late Monday morning instead. All that aside, I was glad they were more prompt than for the estimate. The work was done within an hour including clean-up. My door is working well. And yet, I provided the installer with an Angie's List coupon for $50 off the $750 quote. I had to call Crystal Doors in mid-January after being charged $750 for the door. I was told it would be taken care of, and if not, to call back. Well, I have since called back this month requesting the $50 credit. I was told that they will get working on that, but I am still waiting.

We've used this company before. We feel they are responsive and honest. The technician was able to diagnose the problem immediately, had the part on his truck, and installed it in approx. 20 minutes. He also did some preventative maintenance by greasing/lubing other parts of the opener.

We were having problems getting our garage door to go up and found Crystal Doors through Angie's List. They originally gave us a window of 12-4 on Saturday, but called Saturday morning and were able to come out at 10am, which obviously worked much better. Joey came out and was able to quickly assess the situation, and fix the problem. The cost was a free estimate and then if work needed to be done, $75 plus parts and labor. All in all, Joey was here approximately 45 minutes. He was extremely knowledgeable and efficient. This is our first garage door, so we had a little sticker shock at the cost of repairs, however, that may be normal for what was needed.

Crystal Door came out because our garage door stopped working. They replaced a gear, and got our door to work. They were very quick and prompt, and they were done in about 10 minutes. It even ended up costing less then what they originally thought it could cost.

Even though their techs installed the wrong spring (and the door managed to work for the last year), they were incredibly responsive when they discovered the error from last year and had the problem corrected within three days. Great customer service.

They did a good job. They did the work in the cold. They didn't try to sell me something that I didn't need. They explained to me what the problem was. They showed up a couple hours later then they said they would.
