It's possible that this garage tune-up company just had a single mechanism which wouldn't work with my door. I don't have any way to know if they intentionally misled me about the need to replace my door or if they were just incompetent. Either way, I would prefer to work with someone more flexible and knowledgeable so that when faced with an unusual situation they are able to do some problem-solving.

They were timely, responded quickly, and did a great job with the repairs.

Everything was fine. It took them a bit of time to repair a damaged part of the door, but they addressed it to our satisfaction.

Garage door was not opening all the way. I called late Saturday and left a message. Crystal repairman came Monday to inspect and give estimate. Repairs were made on Tuesday and charges were less than original estimate. Garage door works great now! Fast, courteous, and professional.

The workers are great. They are very professional. The guys they send out are fantastic. It is a pleasure to work with their staff. I have used them on more than one occasion. The person that takes the call is not the most pleasant person to speak with. The grades are for the workers that come out.

I have used Crystal in the past and today they did a great job again. My door has been secured and seems more quite and sturdy then before. I used the coupon which was a really good value. Peter who came out was very professional and came up with a fix right away, I am very happy with the work. I would feel confident in using and recommending this company.

The came right away and told me what the problem was (wrong bolts used which of course broke) and reattached the unit. Then he also did some maintenance on the garage doors to keep them from creaking. Super prompt and excellent service. Would definitely use them again.

I called Crystal Overhead Doors and made an appointment a week hence for the installation of a garage door opener. I was told Geraldo would be there between 8:00 a.m. and noon. He phoned at 8:00 on the dot to say he was on his way. Geraldo had concerns about the structure of the crossbeams in my garage. He worried there might not be “enough lumber” to install the GDO. He asked where was the nearest home improvement store. New to the area, I wasn’t sure, but told him I’d google it. While I was looking, he came back and said thanks, but he didn’t need the information after all. He had determined he could make it work with the materials he had. He worked steadily and hard for at least two hours, and then he demonstrated how to use the keyless entry pad and a few other features. Voila! I now had an automatic GDO and I got it for what I considered to be a very good price. Later that day, my father and brother-in-law took a look at the unit and said it was not as stable as it should be. Sure enough, I began to have trouble with it. I phoned Crystal and told them to send somebody out to look at it. Geraldo came back, once again right on time. He reassessed the job he’d done and told me he would add support from the ceiling to the back of the unit. Great, I said. He worked for about an hour, and when he was done, he showed me what he’d done. He not only added support, he also relocated one of the electronic sensors to an area where there would be less opportunity for it to be jarred out of whack by the up and down movement of the overhead door. He did everything with a smile, and no attempt was ever made to charge me one extra red cent for the return visit. Therefore, even though it was not perfect the first time out, Crystal made good on their work and that still rates an “A” in my book.

I searched Angie's list for a garage door maintenance company and this company came up in my search with an offer to provide $100 worth of service for $50 if I purchased it within 24 hours on Angie's list website. I paid the $50 and received contact information for the company so I sent an email and on Monday received an email back. I called the company told them I found them on Angie's list and the specifics of the transaction and set a time on Tuesday, Aug. 7 for servicing. When the representative came he showed up at the wrong address and called me and told me he was behind the house in the alley. There was no one there so I told him he was in the wrong location. When he started leaving the location he was at he passed my alley on an intersecting alley. I saw him and told him while still on the phone to look toward me and I was waving to him. He came to me and began his assessment of the situation. The garage door was sticking and squeaking so he determined lubrication was necessary. When he completed lubricating the door rollers and joints I asked if he was going to lubricate the moving mechanism that connects the door to the electric opening unit situated in the center of the garage ceiling. I was surprised that he did not initiate that particular conversation by offering to do it without my asking. If I hadn't asked I'm not sure I would have learned the following: he told me he was out of the particular lubricant for that mechanism and informed me to go to an auto parts store and buy a "low temp grease." Next he went back to the truck and wrote up an invoice and told me I owed $80. I protested telling him I had prepaid $50 on Angie's list for $100 value of servicing an offer provided by his company. He was unaware of that arrangement so I showed him my receipt. He said he needed to call the office. While still on the phone with the office he told me I only owed $30. I protested again saying that I prepaid for up to $100 worth of servicing so that I owed nothing. He discussed that with the office and finally agreed that I owed nothing that I had paid in full. I was not pleased with how I had to ask about lubricating one part of the mechanism of the garage door opener that was still making noise and about how the business end of this transaction unfolded and the fact that I needed to essentially press my point in order to not double pay. Later I talked to Crystal Overhead Door because the entire door quit working. They explained that I misinterpreted the discount offer but however did apply it to the work that was done. Through a series of meetings and discussions they replaced the electronic door opener adding a remote key pad and safety features for a very reasonable price so things eventually worked out very good.

I hired them to repair our garage doors. They came out and determined that one of the door openers needed to be replaced. They came out a second time to install the new opener. For their first visit they gave me a 4 hour window of when they would be here and then called after 3 and half hours to let me know they would be late- beyond the 4 hour window. Also, at first I think there was some miscommunication between the technician and me - but the company did a follow up phone call to resolve the problems. I was very impressed by the professionalism of the company that they wanted to ensure I had a positive experience with them

Overall, I was very pleasesed with their work.

We discovered that one of the springs in our two-car garage door was broken and called Crystal Overhead Door on Tuesday evening. We left a message and received a call back around 8 or 9am on Wednesday morning. They stated a technician would be out to see us sometime between 12pm and 4pm. Fortunately we were able to be home during that long window. At 3:45pm when we had not heard from the technician, we called again to verify. We were told that it was a busy day, but that he was on his way.Dave actually arrived just after 5pm. He was courteous and knowledgeable. Although only one spring was broken he suggested replacing both springs which seemed logical. He replaced the springs quickly and was done by 6pm. We did not encounter any issues trying to use the Angie's List coupon either which gave us $25 off, for a total cost of $255.

I called the company. they prompty send some body over in 2 days and the guy names Gerardo programmed the remotes for me. He did an amazing job. Infact he showed me how to program it in future if I need to. Would highly recommend their services. Thanks

Crystal garage door came out when they said they would and attempted to repair our garage door opener. They couldn't do so, and showed me why. They offered a brand of door opener that is not found in stores, but which received good reviews online, so even though the cost was a bit higher than the openers you find at places like Home Depot, for the little extra I felt we spent, I think it was worth it to have the opener replaced that same day and be able to use the door again. The technician was a friendly guy, and did a good job. I'd use this company again.

I had a garage door spring break. I called in the evening and they returned my call promptly the next morning. We scheduled it for the next day and they not only fixed the spring but also suggested some other helpful items related to the cables of the door. PromptReasonableResponsiveQuality Would use them again.

They never tried to upsell me on the opener (he tried to fix it with just a board replacement which would have been cheaper) and agreed to simply repair the door and not replace it
