I called Crystal Overhead Doors at about 11AM. Rick sent Joel out to troubleshoot within the hour. Joel was great and a consummate professional and made short work of my garage door that had been stuck for several days. Joel was affable and ready to replace the worn gear in the motor housing and did so promptly. After it was all said and done, the door works and the price was great (and all by lunchtime). I can't say enough about this level of response and service. I have dealt with many contractors and this experience was easy and refreshing. Will refer all friends/family to Crystal Overhead Doors from now on!

Gerardo arrived as scheduled and quickly went about the inspection and work. Work was professional with no problems.

They gave a 4 hour time frame to arrive and of course arrived at the very end of that 4 hour window, but they did arrive! The work was done very quickly and efficiently. The technician took the time to go over everything he had done, and also answered my questions regarding the remaining life of the current garage door opener and suggested what they would replace it with. He also gave me their number and said to call if there were any problems. After a few days of use, I noticed the door was sticking, and immediately called them. They arranged a time to come back out and immediately corrected the problem at no charge! These guys are top notch.

Overall price was slightly high, but door now works.

it went great... bought it to have the garage door checked out but as soon as a did. my door broke. they were able to schedule it right away and brought all the parts with them. it was quick and easy and I appreciate that they did not try to sell me more than I needed I would happily call them again.

Not very eager to please once it became clear I wasn't going to buy a replacement door.

The owner responded immediately and one of his employees Gerardo came 2 days later and completed these repairs. He was on time and completed these tasks as listed. We have been having difficulty with the larger door for several weeks opening only half way unless you pushed it up or down when using the remote. We also had a raccoon get in and apparently couldn't get out while we were away for the weekend and he did damage by tearing the rubber Strip on both doors to shreds and knocked down rakes, hoses ,etcetera attempting to find a way out. When our garage door broke, I went on Angie's List to find someone to fix it. I chose this company because it offered an Angie's List Big Deal that was supposed to give me 50% off garage door service call + repair labor. The company took my call right away and scheduled a visit to repair our garage door within a few days. They were super prompt and efficient. The man who came out to fix our garage door offered a good deal on replacing the door entirely as opposed to just fixing the broken spring. However, even with his offer it was still more than we wanted to pay at the time so we just had him fix our door. He did a great job and we have no problems with the quality of the work performed. However, when it was time to pay he quoted us a price and when I mentioned that I had purchased the Angie's List Big deal so I should get 50% off the call and labor, he only deducted $25 which was not 50%. In the end I was not going to quibble with the amount since the job was done and done quickly. I do feel though that the Big Deal was not such a "deal" after all.

I purchased the garage door tune-up plus roller replacement as a "Big Deal" from the Angie's List website on September 21, 2012. After which I contacted the vendor, Crystal Overhead Door Inc, directly to schedule a service appointment for Monday, September 24. The service technician, Gerardo, called shortly before his arrival around 10:45 am that Monday and immediately began performing the tune-up/roller replacement service. He also inspected the motor unit and chain assembly, and determined that the logic board had gone bad and needed to be replaced based on some issues that I described to him involving the operation of the garage door with the remote control. Two days later Gerardo returned and installed the new logic board. Total repair cost was $279 -- $99 for the tune-up/roller replacement plus $180 for the logic board. As for invoicing/payment, a minor hiccup occurred as my credit card was accidentally billed twice for $180 but this issue was immediately resolved with a quick call to the vendor, who apologized for such error as well. To date the garage door and motor unit have been operating perfectly. Hence I would definitely use or recommend Crystal Overhead Door in the future should the need arise.

My garage door was not closing evenly pulling and catching on 1 side because one of the springs was going. Gerardo had been out before to adjust the door and suggested converting the system if I continue to have problems (no push to sell me , just recommendation to consider at some future time). The door got stuck so I had to open manually and decided to change the system. Gerardo had told me approximately what it would cost so there was no sticker shock and I felt it was reasonable. They were able to come out the next day. Gerardo called me when he was on his way and put the system together, adjusted the springs, made sure it was level and that the door closed properly. It was a pleasure to see it close evenly and quietly. He informed me it had a 2 year warranty. The whole thing took about 35 minutes and I feel I have peace of mind for the winter.

This was an excellent experience. Gerardo was my service tech, and he was excellent. He was fabulous to deal with, got the work done quickly, corrected my problems, and clearly had a great working knowledge of my situation. He called ahead of time, was polite and friendly as well. I couldn't be happier. HIGHLY recommended!

As Crystal was the company that originally installed my door, I was glad to purchase a coupon for a tune-up. As expected, they arrived promptly, inspected the door, lubricated it and replaced a couple of fittings. They explained how to lubricate it for maintenance. They explained the importance of keeping the area around the sensors free of leaves, webs and spiders! All in all I was very pleased with the service and would definitely hire them again.

We trusted this company based on other consumer reviews. We knew we had a problem and asked Crystal to take a look and give us an estimate for fixing it. They were reasonable and fixed it on the spot.

I just needed some preventative maintenance on my garage door. Service man came a little early and started right away. Changed the rollers, greased everything properly and tighten the springs. Door was not as loud when opening and closing after it was serviced. Service man was quick and answered all my questions. I will be using this company again in the future.

I bought the Big Deal online, called for an appointment, was given an appointment for the same week, the serviceman called ahead as promised, he arrived within the estimated time, he was efficient and friendly, my husband gave him the certificate and he left after giving my husband some suggestions on what to do with the door when we replace the opener. Quick, easy, and a wonderful final result.

The cable snapped on our garage and needed to be replaced. We called Crystal on Sunday night and left a message. Called back again late Monday afternoon. They told us they'd be able to come on Wednesday. They arrived ontime and replaced the cable. The other cable ended up snapping 3 weeks later, and we called on a Wednesday. They came that day to get the car out of the garage, but didn't have the part. They came back Saturday afternoon to fix it. They only charged us for the part, and not their service charge since we just had service within the 30 days. A nice guarantee.

Real rip off. The contractor came and said he knew nothing about this deal from Angies list, and charged us full price for the work that needed to be done.
