They were great. Extremely responsive, they came out the same day I called, assessed my needs, gave me a quote on the spot and returned to do the work the next week. They worked efficiently and professionally. I would definitely hire the again.

I price shopped after getting "A" rated companies from Angies List. Crystal had a Angies List deal which resulted in the best price (for a well rated company). It turned out we were out of the standard service area for Crystal but I spoke with the manager and we compromised on a great solution. The work was quick, well done and very professional.

They did good job. They were easy to work with and got the job done and it is still working fine like new. Their price was average.

This was my first time using Crystal and I understand why their customer reviews are really good. I called them after one of my 2 year old garage door springs broke...which rendered the door inoperable and of course trapped a car in the garage. Rick was very helpful and managed to have one of his people come out same day although I didn't even discover the problem until around noon. He also informed as to approximately when the repairman would arrive. Jason, the repair technician, also placed a courtesy call when he was about 15 min away. All of the contact was very impressive and made for a great sense of confidence. When Jason arrived, a quick check by him confirmed my suspicion that the reason the old spring failed so quickly was the that the prior installer, who was from a different company, had used undersized springs and then just overwound them. This is a common problem with some repair companies because they carry a limited selection of springs with them and just make do with what they have. It's difficult for a homeowner to know the difference....which generally allows them to get away with it. Jason then proceeded to make quick and professional repairs....using the correct parts. The door now operates better than it did when new. I would highly recommend Crystal for any garage door problems and just wish all home repair companies were as great to work with.

The office manager is excellent, talked me through everything, got me scheduled, very friendly. The technician was on time, and got the sprocket job done without issue, but seemed rushed and not interested in answering many questions about the repair. My disappointment came when I had him look at my other doors, which was rushed, and sprayed some oil on rollers (my supply), didn't clean up, and oil got on bike, car, etc. The problem was alleviated briefly, but is back to noisy this morning. Lastly, a miscommunication on price, but they honored their quote, which I was very appreciative of. thank you. Overall I rated them an A, and I believe I would hire them again, but I would request a different technician.

My garage door wouldn't close; a roller fell out and the cable on one side had come off the reel and was partially wrapped around the bar. I called at 4:40pm and left a message. They called in 20 minutes and explained that an after hours call incurred a $250 flat fee plus $80 per hour labor, with one hour minimum, plus the cost of parts. It took 30 minutes to arrive and another 30 minutes to fix all of the problems plus make a few adjustments to the motor and positioning of how the door opens and closes. So, prompt, efficient service but $330 for $30 minutes of work is steep, though I understand after hours fees are high to discourage rushing out to fix less-than-dire circumstances. Therefore, I recommend frequent and copious lubrication of all moving parts of your garage door to avoid emergency fees.

I called Crystal Overhead Door initially to get a quote for door service as well as opener replacement. Moses (from COD) was dispatched to assess my door and give me a quote for service. Moses was on time and very professional during our appointment. While he was noting different issues and repairs needed, he noticed that one of our rollers was out of its track. He immediately fixed that issue, which required some effort, without charge and before completing my quote. I was sold! On Moses return trip to complete the door service, he again was on time and very professional! He was quick and efficient with his work, while simultaneously fielding my questions. I will definitely use Crystal Overhead Door for all of my future garage door needs. (If possible, I'll try to make sure Moses handles that work!)

Moises came out within 5 minutes of letting me know he would be there. He was very professional and trustworthy. He knew immediately what the problem was and had it finished in record time. Crystal Overhead Door Inc, they do the garage door openers, garage limited maintenance, the experience with them turned out fine. I actually didn't meet them or speak with them, my neighbor did it, I purchased it in May, we are with them, and so far it worked. I can't say for sure that they did change anything because I wasn't there. My neighbor said it all went well. They did not replace the keypad though. Usually I interact directly with them and I didn't in this case so I just don’t have anything major to report back unfortunately. It was not broken and it is still working. You can't really measure it so I purchased it from a guy before and used suppliers before that I had an issue, this was not the case. They did not do anything wrong, I don’t think they did not really follow up or I don’t think that they went out of their way.

Tom arrived within the window of time that was given. He was very courteous. He contacted me when he was about 15 minutes out. Before he started, he explained to us what he was going to do. He cleaned up so well that you would not even know that he had installed the new spring system. Once he was done, he went over everything with us. He explained on how and what we should be lubricating as preventative maintenance. The price we paid is the price he quoted a couple of weeks ago. The only part that was not replaced that was originally planned was the bottom rubber seal. Due to our garage door style and age, the new rubber seal would have been too thick for the door. But after he aligned and adjusted the door at the end, the door touches the bottom with no real space between the seal and the floor. So there really was no need for the replacemnt anyway. That saved us some money which is always a good thing. I highly recommend Crystal Overhead Door and I would highly recommend Tom!!!

It went fine. Their very nice technician came out on Friday. After looking at the garage door, he told me that the broken spring was a rare and hard-to-find model and that it would be a good idea to convert to a more standard setup. I had already researched this and come to the same conclusion, so there was no problem with that. He came back on Tuesday, during the time frame we had agreed upon, and did the conversion. He was friendly, thoroughly professional and knowledgeable, and did the job remarkably quickly. Now the garage door feels like a feather! I would definitely recommend these guys. It was great that they had a coupon, too.

I used an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. It was great; everything was fine and worked out well. They did a good job and came out the next day after I purchased the service. I paid extra because the technician had to do more. The price was reasonable. They were on time, knowledgeable, did the job quickly and explained stuff. I give them very high marks.

This company is a no brainer. I originally spoke with Eric who I informed that I was in need of an weather seal for the bottom of my wooden door. My current seal was completely worn and not sealing one side of the door. The seal was so worn that rain, snow and leaves actually would blew under the door. Eric took time with me over the phone and asked me alot of questions in regards to door. Eric exsplained that my apron on one side of the driveway that enters into the garage was more than likely not level as to why my door would not seal on one side. Eric explained exactly what type of seal I'd need for a wooden door to properly seal even though my apron was uneven. As scheduled a technician showed up, but he did not have the correct seal for the door. He assured me he'd be back the following day with the proper seal. He did return the next day had all the correct supplies, installed the seal and the gap I had previously had under the door was now sealing properly. This company did what they said they would do, was reasonably priced and the service technician was very personable. Prior to going with this company i did have a couple other estimates by other companies from Angies list. The stupid, ridiculous prices that were given along with the insulting song and dance on how many hours it would take to do the job was just amazing. Chrystal Doors was honest, and reasonable in price and did an excellent job. I have found a company that I feel I can trust and who will be my garage door company from here on out....Thanks Chrystal Door!!!

I bought a new car, and programmed the car garage door open button. But when i went to close the garage door using the remote keypad, it no longer worked. I called Crystal, spoke to Rick, he gave me three quick and easy instructions, and within one minute, I was back in business. We had just moved in Thursday, and Saturday morning our door stopped working. I was panicked as this seem like a horrible welcome back to home owning. I called my warranty service (and of course a spring ISN'T covered), but they recommended Crystal. Within 5 minutes of my leaving a message/page, Eric, the owner called me back. He left a family function to come fix my door (which wasn't a broken spring). He also stayed and diagnosed what caused the problem, and fixed that. To go even further above and beyond, he adjusted some of the settings of the door and did some basic preventative maintenance. In short, it was one of the best experiences I've EVER had with a service provider in any field. If you're on the Northside of Chicago or one of the surrounding collar communities I would strongly encourage you call them!!
