Crystal Overhead Door Inc

The spring on our center garage door snapped and we were without use of the door for a few days (in increasingly cold weather). We searched through Angie's List and came upon Crystal Overhead Door. Their many positive reviews made them an easy choice. I called and left a message with my details and received a prompt callback from Rick. He arranged to have someone come out and repair the door. I also spoke with Linda the day of the appointment. She was very helpful in verifying that all was on track and gave me an accurate assessment as to when to expect the technician (Mike). Mike called to let me know he was on the way, and even though he was fighting his way through a snowstorm, he arrived promptly and did a great job. Mike is professional, friendly and he even guided us as to which coupon to use, which saved us $40 off the $180. We would definitely use them again as well as recommend them to others. Great job!

It went well and the people were pretty decent. The installer was very good and the people were nice. I don't have any complaints. I would not probably use them again because we had a disagreement but that's okay because they did their job.

My garage door stopped working one evening. After checking Angie's List I called Crystal Overhead Door first thing the next morning. I was told that a repair person would be out between noon and 4:00. Mike called to let me know when he was on his way and he arrived around 1:00. He knew right away that the door needed a new gear and sprocket assembly. He completed the work in about 30 minutes, and the garage door works fine again. I'm happy with the work that Mike did and I'm pleased that they were able to come out the same day I called. I will definitely use this company again.

They came out the next day after my call. Honored the 50% off Service Call deal, which I got here on Angie's List. The service representative was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He replaced the broken parts and gave our door a general tune-up. Everything was back in functional working condition in about 20 minutes.

The springs are broken on our door along with the rod needing to be replaced. The technician was very helpful stating the cost for everything and showing me other things that need to be serviced. He gave me an itemized list of what it would cost and told me it might be better to get a new door. He also said he could fix this all, but was very honest letting me know that it may break again due to the age of the door. Excellent service. Honest and we will use them again.

Everything went smoothly, and they were very service- and customer-oriented. They thought that there was a chance that we would just need to replace the circuit breaker for our original garage door opener (which would be much less expensive) and tried this first before confirming that the entire garage door opener needed to be replaced.

Scheduling the appointment went fine and they were on-time. The price was very good. I had no problems and would recommend their service to others.

Fixed the spring but did not repair the plastic cog wheel that moves with the motor opener. Suggested a new motor and chain system due to the age of the unit. I personally replaced the plastic cogs and related assemblage myself after purchasing parts from a garage door service. I felt this could have been done on the spot instead of the sales pitch for new motor and installation charges. Good service overall yet I wound up opening the door manually for a month before I could find the time to do it myself.

Excellent. Professional and quality job

Last week, my garage door came apart from the middle arm mechanism (not sure what that's called). I could only manually open and close it, which was a big pain!. Over the weekend, I called Crystal Overhead Inc. in a serious panic and they promptly called me the next business day. Within hours Tom was at my house. Tom is seriously one of the nicest servicemen I've ever had at my house. He took the time to explain everything wrong with my garage door and even educated me on how to maintain it. He was very friendly and very quick. He fixed my problem in under an hour and my garage door is as good as knew. This company is extremely reliable. I had such a positive experience I will only use them from now on and recommend them to all my friends! Thanks guys!

This is my second time using them. The first time they assembled my automatic door system in my main home. I will use them again in the future.

The job went very well. I asked for the weather stripping replacement at the last minute, when the technician thought he was all finished, but he very kindly completed the task for me anyway.

The contractor was incredibly responsive, right on time, and fixed our problem immediately. I expected to have to get an appointment to get a quote, get service some days from now, and then have a a sizable bill for the repairs. Rather the serviceman was at my house within 1.5 hours of my call, saw that I had a simple problem he could fix in about 3 minutes, and did not charge me for the visit. Incredibly nice people too.

I called Crystal Overhead Door after about 6 weeks of trouble with my existing opener, which would go up, but not down. The technician Tom called 15 minutes before he arrived. He rolled up, spent about 5 minutes inspecting the problematic door opener and explained that the worn out motor on my low-end retail unit was not worth fixing. He did a great job of explaining the overall door and system and how to perform preventive maintenance, etc. I elected to have him install a new Liftmaster unit, with new safety eyes, etc. The whole thing took about 90 minutes. I probably could have saved a few bucks by going to Home Depot and then hiring a service company to install, but based on other Angie's List reviews, I felt it was worth it to have it done by people who specialize in this type of thing. I would recommend Tom to anyone, and I would recommend Crystal Overhead Door to anyone. Very professional, seamless service -- and they spend time with you so you understand how not to encounter problems again.
