When my door was serviced about a month ago I received a new garage door opener to replace the one I had that no longer worked that was quite old A few weeks later, the new opener stopped working. I called in and Linda at Crystal Overhead Door. She listened to me describe the problem. Lynda provided exceptional customer care by researching the issue, determining that a manufacturing defect was the cause and replacing the unit with a similar one that was known to have fewer defects. Linda came to my house herself and assisted me in programming both of my garage doors, thereby fully resolving the problem. I am very pleased she and her company stood behind their work even when the problem was not their fault.

I called to arrange a service call, since our door would only close if we held down the button inside the garage. Linda, before scheduling a call, told me to check both of the sensors. The one that was easily visible had it's green light on, but the other one, which I couldn't see until I moved some junk, had a light that was dim and flickery. I re-aimed it to get a strong green light, tightened the wing-nut holding it in place a voila! No reason they couldn't have arranged my service call and charged me $80 to do the same tweak I did. If I ever have a problem with the door again, I will call Crystal Overhead Door Inc first thing!

Crystal contacted me promptly after my coupon purchase. They scheduled appointment in a timely fashion. Installer was courteous and professional. About a week after install both of the remote openers stopped working. Called Crystal and they were out in two days with new replacement remotes. Everything has been operating smoothly since. Would definitely recommend.

They could not do anything because they do not servcie this particular brand of electronic door opener. They let me know as soon as they found this out. I am happy that they were honest and let me know how to get a refund. They were very prompt.

We needed to replace our garage door after the North Shore floods of June 30 -- water had piled up against the garage door and broken it. We decided to get a quieter motor while we were replacing the door. The estimator came out the same day we called and gave us a quote of $1100.15 for a Clopay door (insulated with double pane glass) and $395 for the motor and lifting mechanism. He said the charge for the motor was an Angie's List special price. We had to wait a number of weeks because Crystal said the door was a special order for Clopay because of the glass. But they made sure we could use the old door in the meantime. We were contacted the week before installation and told a two-hour time window when the installers would come. They came as scheduled on Sept 25. Everything went very smoothly. We are very satisfied with the equipment and the installation. The new motor is much quieter than the old one was. The installers cleaned up after themselves. We told them we wanted to recycle the old motor and track at Evanston Recycling Warehouse. They set aside everything we needed to donate the old unit, including parts we didn't realize we would need. We were very satisfied with Crystal and would use them again.

Mr. Wozny was prompt with his reply. My request for an estimate was ignored by several other providers, but Mr Wozny took the time to help me. I regard that as a sign that he maintains high customer service standards. I highly recommend him.

We had an appointment set up today but nobody came or called. We called and received a voice message saying they are closed despite the fact that their hours listed say they are open all day on Saturdays. My husband and I made a special trip to our future house (where we are currently not living) to wait for them. Especially considering the positive reviews, this is very disappointing and frustrating. I am sorry we could not do business together. Update- The technician called us at 1:00 (our appointment was supposed to be between 10 and 12:00). He was nice and apologized for the situation. He said that he was tied up in another project and offered to come to the house in a few minutes. We declined the offer. A representative from the company reached out to me on Monday and apologized. She was professional and apologetic, and said that they will be discussing this at their next meeting and work towards preventing future occurrences from happening. While I was frustrated with them, I do appreciate the company contacting me and trying to make it right.

Moses came for the inspection and estimate. He quoted me a competitive price and later dropped off some color samples. I called back and within 1 week of the first visit I had my new door. The actual removal, and installation only took about 2 hours. The actual installation was done with the help of another guy. Both of them knew what they were doing and were very polite and professional. They cleaned up after themselves and explained what was done and why. These guys are professionals. The staff works and is long term employees who are well trained. They do this stuff every day all over chicago. They are set up with ipads, electronic receipts and the proper tools. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Great! Tom was on time, he did what he said he'd do and all was explained thoroughly. It was easy and it works so much better than our old system!

Turned out just fine. They were in and out. No issues with communication. They got it done within an hour.

The technician, Tom was prompt and did a very good job. The cost was as advertised and the job was completed very quickly. They replaced the rollers with a much better grade of roller and replaced the cables on both sides of the garage doors. I would definitely use them again.

The technician was prompt and very helpful in choosing a garage door. He quoted multiple options for us to decide on and also mentioned that I should order the door through their deal with Angie's List as I would save more money. They were able to get a door that was usually a special order to me the next day. The installers walked me through all the details of the new garage door and opener. My only complaint is that we found a bunch of large staples scattered on the ground that did not get cleaned up.

The service tech was friendly, prompt, efficient, explained what he suggested to do and why, and didn't oversell. Everything was repaired quickly.

We researched 3 different companies for the job. Crystal came in significantly less than the others for exactly the same door. What will make me go back with them is the service they provided prior to the purchase and the prompt follow up.

Crystal Overhead was great! They came when they said they would and it took almost 2 hours. He left it as clean as it was when he came. The garage door is fabulous!! The squeaking noise is gone and now it's completely updated to today's standards. Our old door was from the 60's so this was a huge improvement.

Was very responsive and timely. Called for emergency service and had someone at my house within an hour. Very nice and honest service, didn't push anything we didn't need.
