The service went well, it was a basic $99 garage door tuneup and they did that service.

Technician explained the issue (broken torsion spring above left side of garage), showed me the broken spring, and explained that it would be best to replace the other non-broken torsion spring at the same time that the left broken spring was being removed and replaced. I agreed, as he also indicated that the springs were well past their usual life span of 10 years (I indicated springs haven't likely been replaced since 1998 when the building was built). Removal and replacement of old/broken springs with new springs took approximately 45 minutes. Technician called before scheduled appointment to indicate he was on the way, arrived shortly thereafter. All in all, I was happy with their service, and would definitely call them again, should I have any issues with my garage door in the future.

Showed up within the specified window of time, assessed the situation and got the repairs done in short order.

He came and did the work... advised me that I may have to have some parts replaced next year...

I purchased the $99 garage door tune up deal, and Crystal Overhead was in contact with me immediately to schedule the visit. They followed up twice to confirm. The service man (don't remember his name, sorry!) was great, polite and friendly. My shack of a garage is old and kind of falling apart, so I expected him to try and sell me on a new door. Instead, he gave the door a great tune up and it is working much more smoothly now. I will use Crystal Overhead in the future when I need garage door help.

I purchased an Angie's List coupon and immediately set up my appointment by email. The service provider also confirmed my appointment. The technician, Steve, arrived timely and worked efficiently. He first checked the general operation of the door; then replaced all the rollers, lubricated all moving parts, made sure the door balanced properly, and installed new weather stripping. Steve also pointed out areas of rust on a door hinge that could cause a problem in the future. We discussed possible door replacement at that time, but in no way was I pressured to purchase a new door now. I just wanted to learn about my options for future consideration. I was very satisfied with Crystal Overhead Door and will be using them again as needed.

Vendor did a good job of checking the garage components.

After reading all the good reviews, I was somewhat disappointed. appointment window was12 - 4. employee did not arrive until after 530. I did not receive a call prior to 4 informing me that they would be late. I actually had to call the company. I did receive a call after 5 from the employees, stating that he would be arriving by 530 or 545. The person I talked to, told me that his tire came off. but the employee mentioned that he was late due to traffic(???), no mention of tire. He assessed the door, lubricated a few hinges, recommended door replacement. I asked for an estimate; estimate given; employee left.

Everything went incredibly smoothly. We needed someone to fix the door soon, and they had someone come the very next day. They called us every step of the way and were on time and polite. Price was exactly what we paid in the deal with no extras added. Couldn't be happier with this company.

The scheduling went fine and they were able to come out to tune up our garage door a couple of days after my call. They arrived on time and throughout the process were friendly. However, after the tune up (replaced rollers, tightening the hinges) my garage door was worse than before the work was done. It now shutters and vibrates to the point where I am worried it is going to fall on someone. That was not the case beforehand. I asked for them to come out and adjust their work, but they refused unless I would pay more and replace even more parts then they did on the tune up, eventually resulting in their opinion that I need a new garage door to fix the issue (at a cost of $5,000). They say my door is warped, but it went down without the excessive shuttering before the tune up, so I was at a loss as to why they were so resistant to come back and adjust what they had 'fixed'. I would have scored their professionalism higher if they just would come and take a look at what it looked like after they were here. I don't have the money to replace the door at this time, that is why I wanted it tuned up. From my point of view, they didn't stand behind their work. I will eventually have to replace my door, I know that but that doesn't mean they can't at least not make things worse than before. What really annoys me is that they didn't want to come out and see the issue that was caused after they were here. It could be something simple if they looked at it, but I couldn't get them to come out and see. Very disappointing. I told them I was going to take my business elsewhere.

Their telephone number was not listed when I made the purchase, which has led to some scheduling confusion. Hopefully, everything goes well.

I had them come out to tell me what I needed to do with my garage door. I had been told I needed a new door by someone else. It was very noisy and slow to rise. Crystal had replaced the springs last year so I called them. The rep came out and checked out my door and said I only needed the rollers and lube and adjustments to my lift motor. He then asked if I was on Angie's list and told me there was a deal and to pay for the deal and he could do all the work right then. Wow! It was great. The deal was $99. Then I added on a new outside key pad for $60. Super nice. Honest. Fast. Love them!!!!

I started the project uisng Angies List Snap FIx app. AL put me in contact with Crystal OH Doors and helped to arrange the repair time and date through the app. I described the project using the app and they gave me an estimate of $300 based on the description. The door tech came out and replaced both springs in about 1/2 hour. The cost was the same as the estimate. Overall the repair project went very well. The whole process started on a Wednesday morning when my garage door spring broke, and it was fixed by the very next Satruday afternoon.

The craftsman was just that a CRAFTSMAN, he did his work and made sure it was right.

They were very responsive. The garage door got stuck closed on a Thursday evening trapping our car in the garage. I called at 8am the next morning and they were able to send someone over by 1pm. I was expecting them to say we would need to first fix the rotted wood that the center post for the garage door was connected to and expecting a large bill. However, they said they would be able to relocate it off-center to somewhere where the wood was not rotted. They completed the work in about an hour. A couple of weeks later the garage stuck on opening once and then went away. When I called servicer to ask them about it, they sent someone over in an hour to check on it even though I said I couldn't duplicate it. They were very responsive and when we fix the rotted wood I plan to have them back to disconnect and reconnect the garage door opener.

The service was completed as expected.

I purchased a LiftMaster 8557 Elite through Angie's list. As part of the purchase I requested a notification telephone call 30 minutes before the installer was to arrive since I had other appointments that day, and Crystal customarily gives a four hour window which because of the nature of their service is not unreasonable. The installer, Mike, called me when he was 30 minutes away and arrived on time. I found hm to be very responsive, courteous, and professional. He disassembled my old unit, and took it, and its hardware with him so I did not have to be concerned with disposal. He installed the new opener, the keyless entry, and the wall control panel, cleaned up what little mess remained, and was on his way in about ninety minutes. The LiftMaster 8557 is quiet, is working flawlessly, and has some nice options that come it such as a timer to close the door in case you have forgotten, and a motion sensor which leaves the unit's light on if you're moving around in the garage. I have three automobiles, a 2006, a 2008, and a 2009, each of which is equipped with a HomeLink device that should identify and "communicate" with the garage door opener. None of them do despite repeated attempts to do so on each of the three cars. I called LiftMaster, and received a recorded message to check their website which offered a video but did not mention anything about possible incompatibility among older HomeLink units and new garage door technology. I sent LiftMaster an email message; a response to which I have not yet received. So I called HomeLink and spoke to a tech who advised that this LiftMaster unit would require a "repeater kit" due to the age discrepancies among the LIftMaster unit and my three cars. So I'm presently awaiting my repeater kit, and hopefully then i'll be able to close my garage door remotely without having to use the remotes that came with the unit. Crystal is not responsible for any of the problems that I incurred. I would suggest, however, that it would be a tremendously advantageous marketing strategy for Crystal to inventory these repeater kits, inquire at the time of sale what types and model year of cars will be accessing the garage door opener, and, if necessary include the repeater kit (at an additional cost) at the time of sale. i also would suggest that the installer "match" the HomeLink to the new opener as part of the installation process so that everything is in working order before departure. Just a suggestion, but I was left with a new garage door opener and three cars that were unable to use it. My repeater kit supposedly arrive tomorrow, Nov. 3rd.

The team at Crystal Overhead Door provided some of the best service I have received in a while. From the initial the contact, they handled my requests promptly and to my satisfaction. The office staff returned calls quickly when I left messages at the business and were able to complete the entire job from the initial quote to the installation in a very timely manner. Which was greatly appreciated. Mike did my estimate and was great. He explained the benefits of different products and walked me through what the process would entail. He quickly complied a quote and left me feeling like I understood what I was getting in terms of product and quality. The install was done by Jason and Esteban. These guys were great. The arrived before the schedule time, and did a great job. The work looks great and works great. Could not be more pleased with the installation. The process from beginning to end went smoothly and was transparent throughout. A fact that I appreciated greatly, not knowing a whole lot about how about a the products on the market.

Spring broke on one of our doors and the gears and sproket were stripped in the opener because of that. Quick response Quick diagnosis of problem Installed and repaired within 2 hours. This was the first real work done on our doors in 16 years. They now are operating like new.

I had a horrible experience with them. I had an idea of what I was looking for. I never heard from them so I went over there to show them exactly what I was wanting. I brought them a picture of my door and I talked to a guy named Mark. He said he could not call Crystal on the phone for me and he didn't seem to have any information that was helpful to me. He did not know when she would be back for me to talk to her and I had to go to work so I could not wait around. They did not treat potential customers with respect and it was a weird situation. He had an opportunity to correct the action and at no point did he try to help me.

They were able to come out right away. The technician had the part on hand that he needed. He was very knowledgeable and able to fix the problem in the first visit.

The service was good and my door works fine. I had no issues with scheduling an appointment and there was one technician here doing the work.

Everything turned out great! I have used them in the past. They were punctual for the appointment. They did exactly what I needed done.
