It was kind of a strange experience as everything went really well. The guy that came in to give a quote was really nice and very down to earth and straight forward when it came to recommending what I should get. I was replacing everything because we just moved in and everything was really old. We even got a price that we liked compared to other places that we got quotes from. So we thought we were all set and he said he would email me a more official quote later that day as the quote he gave me was really just written on a random piece of paper that he had handy. First day goes by...no quote.. second day...no quote. So I call the place and talk to the receptionist. She apologizes and takes my information down and says that she will email me the quote by the end of the day. I think no problem. Week to two weeks now later and no quote! I was even checking my spam folder on my email and cannot find anything. Very strange. I gave up. I would think this is pretty straight forward slam dunk account for them. If I was the owner, I would be very upset with his crew because I feel like they really dropped the ball on something as simple as just being organized enough to send the quote. Something that simple is costing them an account on an otherwise really positive experience with them. It's very frustrating to waste time like this when it could've been done by now and I should of just moved on right away but I wanted to go with these guys because the price was good and the guy who gave the quote seemed really to know his stuff. Oh well.

It went well and I was shown some things to watch out for in the future.

Repair person was punctual and professional. He provided a few options. I went for most durable one. Work completed efficiently with minimal disruption to household.

Not well. Chrystal's tech told me that the old-style crawford springs would need to be custom ordered from supplier ($500+), that a "spring conversion" ($400) to the new modern standartd was impossible (he told his dispatcher the same thing on the phone), and that they would get quotes for me, but if it were him, he would buy a entire new door, track, etc. for $1100. Nice guy, said he'd been doing this work for a long time. BUT I got a door quote for $700 on the phone, and then another company showed up the next day to check things out, and did the spring conversion on the spot -- $275 in one hour, and that's that for the repair. Glad I had a $40 Angie's list service call coupon for Crystal, or else I'd be pretty angry -- either the Crystal technician didn't know what he was doing, or it was a hustle. Maybe it will all collapse, but so far it's pretty solid on 10 rounds of open and close.

Extremely well. I actually called Angie's List on August 17th because I had questions about how the deals work. The representative was extremely helpful, he even asked me what problem was I having, took the time to find a deal that best fit my situation and even called the company to make sure it serviced my area and that I could receive service the next day. Everything worked out and I purchased the deal. I called Crystal Overhead Door shortly after hanging up with Angie's List and the rep said he was actually getting ready to call me to follow up. I set my appointment and the company sent Gérardo, he was excellent. He called to let me know he was enroute and gave an eta. Upon his arrival, I explained my symptoms; the garage door would close but automatically go back up. I've had the door opener for about 9 years and I was expecting the worse. Gerardo immediately assessed the situation and told me the problem was common. The tension in the spring needed to be adjusted. Also, a bar and rollers had not been installed in a manner that would give optimal performance. Gerardo corrected all of those issues, including giving me advice on how to keep the hinges and rollers lubricated. He was very pleasant, quick and efficient. He said there is a 90 day warranty for the work. I would definitely recommend this company. Even if I had not received the deal from Angie's List, the prices were very reasonable, especially compared to other places I called before using Angie's List. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

late afternoon on 7/28, garage door would not open...called Crystal at 8:15 on 7/29...technician arrived at about 9:30 on 7/29...quickly assessed the problem, a broken spring which was replaced within an hour...fabulous service!

Crystal overhead arrived on time. Everything was done quickly and professionally. I found Crystal Overhead on Angies list and I have been using them for years. I have been satisfied.

Slightly late arriving but was courteous and unfailingly honest about repair costs and "necessities" vs. "nice to have." We would use their service again in a heartbeat.

The installer came out on schedule and removed the old broken wooden door and replaced with a new aluminum door. The installer added a new spring and connected the door to my existing fairly new garage door opener. He adjusted the new door on the brand new tracks. My garage is a little old and not level or square but the door is perfectly aligned and works great. No problems, great workmanship and the door works smoothly, all the time.

The spring on the garage door was broken and needed to be replaced. They came out the same day that I called and did the work. I have used them before for other garage doors and have always been very happy. They also looked at the other doors and said they were fine. Would use them again.

Everything went perfect, they were on time and did a great job. 5 months later i had to call them as i totally forgot how to open the garage door from the remote keypad they installed. they pulled up my account and emailed me the user guide in less than 30 minutes! Will definitely use them again and highly recommend them

Installation went very well. A couple months ago I had an issue with the door opening because of it being on a similar frequency with someone else. Rick was very friendly and cooperative. They came out to fix the problem, and even recoded my keypad. Customer service is very important to me, and when a company responds like Crystal Overhead Doors, they will always have my business. Highly recommended!

My garage door was broken and would not open. I could not get my car out of the garage. Mark and Tom from the company came and replaced the door the same day. They were excellent , professional, and courteous workers. Mark even moved my car from the garage and put it back when they were finished. They were awesome. I called the company at 815am explained my situation the door kept opening without anyone pressing the door opener. they came out within about half hour to my residence. Mark was awesome he explained everything to me step by step. He reset my openers and showed me how to reset an extra opener. He put my mind at ease. This company is fantastic, i would totally recommend them to anyone. This company makes angies list proud. The service was great. I scheduled a same day appointment. I was told at the time that a service man would be there between 2-5pm. I received a call around 3:30 p.m. letting me know he would be there within 30 minutes. When they arrived (within 30 minutes as he told me), I explained the issue and they knew how to fix the problem. They fixed it within 30 minutes. They were amazing! The garage door works great now! Also, I had purchased a coupon off Angie's List for 50% off the labor cost. The actual labor was only $20 so really the coupon was not worth it. However, I received a call later that night from the owner apologizing for the invoice being incorrect. What I thought was going to cost me $245 ending up only costing $165. The owner took the initiative to fix the problem before I could call him. How awesome is that???? Can't say enough good things. I was in a bind with my garage door opener not working and they fixed the problem ASAP.

Called and spoke with Eric about my garage door opener that's attachment arm had detached from my garage door. I had researched enough to find out the door was installed incorrectly and due to a support beam running along the ceiling was left not sure on how best to tackle the issue due to the low clearance from the beam. I spoke with Eric on the phone and he scheduled someone to come out the first day I was available. The tech was scheduled out at 6:30am and arrived at 6:30 on the dot to assess the issue. He took measurements and briefly discussed some of the potential solutions. Eric called later after reviewing the info and pictures I had emailed and provided multiple options ranging from a low cost "make what I have work" to buy some time before putting in a permanent fix then 6-7 more options varying in cost that would solve my issue. I ended up going with the wall mounted jackshaft opener that Eric suggested and love it. He arranged install the next day. We have a bedroom over the garage and the new opener is so much quieter than the traditional opener that was previously installed. They also installed a reinforced piece of angle iron to reinforce my garage door that was sagging in the center due to the damaged caused by my previous opener. I was impressed with the transparency and the effort that Eric spent to educate me on potential solutions. I typically like to DIY but given a busy work schedule and very fair price felt this was a much better option. I'm glad I called Crystal Door and would recommend them to anyone.

Great! The first visit, Moises replaced the safety eyes, and then I had experienced a few problems with them in the few days after installation, so another workman (don't know his name) came out promptly and fixed it. He also installed the support bars on this visit. Very responsive company, helpful and careful workers, would definitely use them again.

We called Crystal Overhead Door, the first name on the list, when our garage door wouldn't open, trapping our car and cancelling our plans for today. The service call was promised for between 2 and 5 pm; it occurred at 3:15 pm. The service man called to let us know he was on his way and he did a terrific job of fixing our garage door. He gave us the discount on the service call even though I hadn't bought it in advance (I didn't want to risk waiting 48 hours for an appointment). I can't help but think how wonderful it is to live in a country where the service we received is not only available with one phone call but on a site where we can see how others have evaluated the service provider.
