Ciprian Hardwood flooring

I called for an estimate and they insisted on giving the estimate over the phone rather than in-person. Since they had great reviews I shrugged it off and agreed to the estimate and told them that I would like to use them to do my floors. He initially agreed to do them on May28th. I agreed then got an email that he was booked for the next few months and not available. I told him that I would look elsewhere since I cannot risk hiring him and then have him cancel out again on an agreed date. I should have known that a contractor who would not come out to give an estimate is someone that you cannot count on to do the job. Beware!

We used Ciprian and the team for two projects: re-finishing our hardwood flooring and installing of vinyl plank flooring. As first time homeowners, we appreciated the thoroughness and competitive pricing of the quote, professionalism, quick communication and even providing recommendations/suggestions based on different options or choices that came up in the project. Not knowing too much about flooring, we felt very comfortable that Ciprian would help us make the right decisions for our home. They have finished the hardwood (which we love and are very excited about) and they will be coming back for the flooring installation later - due to a conflict on our end, we had to move the project back, but Ciprian was flexible in trying to fit us into an already packed schedule. We appreciate their help in trying to make everything as seamless as possible! Highly recommend for anyone looking for flooring work to be done.

These guys are AWESOME!!! Seriously called them last minute after we tried to do our floors ourselves, and was a complete fail! They came in the next day and saved us and our sanity! The floors turned out beautiful and I would recommend them to anyone without a doubt!

In late August 2020, I contacted Ciprian and he got back to me for an estimate within 30 minutes. I sent photos of my living/dining room and hall and he provided an competitive estimate. I was amazed. I was looking to get it done during September. So I started moving everything out that I could during the last week of August, hoping maybe he could do it the week after Labor Day. I bought painting plastic drop cloths and covered my 2 bay windows and cornices and a pass thru to the kitchen. I removed all the floor registers. I covered the ceiling lights and stuffed rags in the floor vents. I couldn't carry out the couches and chairs or piano myself. Ciprian offered to do it for a fee, but I felt better using a professional mover. I was suprised to get a call on Sept. 1 that he could do the work on Sept. 4 and 5. I felt this prep work by me was all a good idea as it allowed Ciprian to concentrate on the sanding and refinishing, although he certainly would have done some of this, had I not. (I am programmer by trade and attention to detail is something I really obsess over, which is why I did alot of the prep work.) When Ciprian came he explained he needed to also do the front closet, else it would look bad, because the floor boards ran perpendicular to the closet doors (which I had removed). So I raced to empty the closet and he adjusted the plastic covering sheet accordingly. And for the same reason, he was able to just do a couple of boards into the bedrooms off the hallway, since the boards ran parallel to the doors. He arrived at 645 am both days. Day 1 was sanding and applying 2 coats of finish. I didn't stain the floor, left it natural light oak color as it was previously. He left by 3 pm on Day 1. He also redid 3 oak thresholds leading to my kitchen and bathroom and now the colors match the floors perfectly. Photos attached of the hall before the job, them working and final product in living room. Day 2 was buffing and applying coat 3. He was done in 90 minutes. That 3rd coat made the floor so smooth. There was very little dust to clean up in the rest of the house. Ciprian is extremely personable. His attention to details and quality was all I could ask for in a contractor. So often those finer points are overlooked in a job. As noted, I am really into details and he did not disappoint.

We recently had Ciprian refinish the floors on our first floor and install hardwoods in the hallway of our second floor. Ciprian was courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. He was able to tell us that we actually had two different types of wood in our house! He also fixed holes and cracks that came up as he was working and got our floors looking beautiful. This is a family run business with a father, son, and cousin and they finished the work quickly and efficiently. The price was reasonable and competitive based on the other estimates we received but we feel like the attention to detail put Ciprian over the top. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to have their floors done.

We had a large family room and a bedroom plus closet refinished. The results were wonderful. These folks have the old time work ethic.

We had Ciprian Hardwood Flooring refinish the flooring on our first floor and install new hardwood flooring on our second. I could not have been more impressed by the amount of work the small team (father, son and cousin) carried out in such a short period of time. They were extremely professional and did not cut any corners. Ciprian was responsive, competitive in pricing and holds very high-standards for his work. Excellent work!

Chip is personable and prompt. From the time he came to see our floors and gave us a price, to when he and his crew came to do the job. They were so quick repairing the multiple holes in the floor and replacing boards. Also showed us the work they did as it progressed. They were always very courteous and kept the areas clean. I can't say enough about Chip and his crew. Very happy with their work. I would highly recommend Ciprian and will use them again.

Ciprian is awesome! He and his dad repaired my floor so well you can hardly even tell where the repair was made. He went above and beyond in the repair, not only repairing the board but reinforcing the floor around the broken board. Fair pricing, wicked response time, very prompt, good guy all around. I'm very impressed and will definitely be going back to him again for any more hardwood floor jobs in the future.

Ciprian was so wonderful to work with! He is very knowledgeable, detail oriented, and finished our flooring project in a quick timeline. He really knows the business and helped us through all our questions and decision making. We had a huge project; as we were removing 4” of tile/concrete in our sunroom to replace with new hardwood. Not only were doing a demo and replacement of the floor, but we had to carefully match the new wood floor with the existing wood floor throughout our home. He seamlessly installed the new wood flush the with the original wood and did an amazing job getting the stain to match perfectly. In addition, the renovation was spotless and did a great job of cleaning up after each workday. Since we couldn’t always be on site with Ciprian during the renovation, he texted us updates and pictures of the project in real time. With such a large project underway, his communication is something we appreciated most about working with him. We are very excited to start using our beautiful, new floors and would highly recommend, as well as use him again in the future!

Having floors replaced can be stressful! Ciprian was so easy to work with - friendly, responsible, honest and dependable. From the quote all the way through putting my furniture back into place, they were amazing! The new flooring matched 15 year old wood and is completely unnoticeable. I would highly recommend their services and will definitely call them again anytime I have flooring needs.

Chip and the team from Ciprian did a fantastic job on our hardwood floors. We had 3 rooms, a hallway and stairs refinished. The floors had been carpeted for years and when the carpeting was removed we discovered that the floors had been treated with a varnish not meant for flooring. Several contractors declined the job because removing the varnish would require extra sanding. Ciprian did not give us the lowest quote for the job, but I believe we got the best results for the price paid. We have beautiful floors without streaking, dirt in the finish or some of the other horrors people experience. Ciprian did a professional job. Chip showed up on time and completed the work in the time expected. He provided me with photo updates when I wasn't able to be on site. Everyone who has seen the floors say they are gorgeous. We have an older home which has old growth hardwood which Chip estimates was only refinished once in the past so it will last us for many years to come. Yes, I would hire Ciprian Hardwood Flooring again and I highly recommend them. Ciprian is a family owned company which takes pride in their work.

They arrived as planned and completed the job with the ultimate of craftsmanship. I am a very happy customer and recommend Ciprian Flooring highly.

I was looking to have the hardwood in my new home refinished to a darker color, and contacted 4-5 different companies requesting a quote. Ciprian got back to me the same day, and always had prompt communication throughout. They were able to get onsite for a more accurate quote on the day I needed to get the job done (Friday), and started the following Monday. It was a good size project, entire first floor with 6 rooms, and a second floor hallway. They completed the project in two and a half days! And the quality was very professional. I chose Ciprian because his quote was detailed and he explained what was needed to do the job right upfront. He was also the only one who wanted to see the project before giving me a final quote. I cannot speak highly enough of Ciprian. We just moved into a new home and discovered that our floor needed to be replaced ASAP. We contacted 4 flooring companies and Ciprian was the only one that offered reasonable pricing and promised to complete the work within our timeline. Timing was extremely important since we'll be hosting families from abroad. We were very skeptical about Cirprian meeting the deadline since we had bad experiences with other contractors meeting deadlines. Ciprian flooring did an absolute amazing job!!!! I am so very happy. They did a professional quote and responded to all of my emails, texts and phone calls promptly. Even on the weekends, they responded to my messages. They work very hard and completed the work in just a few days. They are true craftsman. He had run into some challenges of how the underlayment was done prior on the steps. He rebuilt those and did not complain or charge extra. They left everything spotless and always communicated about next steps thru out the project. I would absolutely use this company again!

Ciprian and his team were wonderful. Provided an affordable quote the afternoon I called and began work early the next morning, finishing by late afternoon. Were able to sand out water stains and large mystery stain and blend floors with existing hardwood. The floors turned out beautiful. Highly recommend.

Amazing! They were able to give us an eatimate same day we called. Did the work the following morning! We needed some wood replaced and you cant even tell where they had been replaced. They did an amzing job. Our floors were a light oak color and now they are grey- they look amazing.

We bought a house and there wasn't much time to have the floors done. Our flooring had potential, but it looked really ratty from use and probably hadn't been refinished in 30 years. Ciprian (Chip) got back to us right away and we explained the rather right time frame as our home was still empty but the furniture would arrive in a couple days. He and his crew came over THAT DAY and got started between coats on another job. What incredible response time! They were very personable and professional, gave us options for repairing some creaking floor spaces, and made suggestions for possible coloring. We opted for the natural color and things are BEAUTIFUL! (And the floors creak a lot less) They are very detail oriented and got every nook in multiple closets and under radiators. They finished a rather large square footage in a day and a half. My mother-in-law is an interior designer and asked for his number immediately after seeing before and after pictures. His price was a lot better than another contractor we spoke with, and they could work on our time frame which was very important. I would recommend Chip any day.
