Ciprian Hardwood flooring

Excellent!!!!!

I needed the hardwood floor in my kitchen refinished. The problem was, there was no separation between the kitchen floor and my living room floor that did not need refinishing. I was worried that there would be a glaring difference between the newly refinished kitchen floor and the existing living room floor. I discussed this with Ciprian and he told me where he thought the best spot would be to end the refinishing and that he would do his best on the match. After the work was completed I was amazed to see that the match was absolutely perfect. The new kitchen floor looks amazing and the transition between rooms is seamless. You can't even tell where the new floor ends and the existing floor begins. I'm 100% satisfied and would gladly use Ciprian again in the future.

All in all Ciprian is fantastic. We had just purchased a house a few days prior and needed the hardwood floors finished in a hurry. With a totally empty house, we decided we had a unique opportunity to take advantage of refinishing the floors. We called Ciprian early on a Sunday and needed the floors finished within a week to allow us to move in on schedule. They were very willing to work with and accommodate us. They finished in about 2.5 days. Ciprian started each day ealier than expected and worked really fast. While all of this is great, what is really important is the quality of the final product. We were nervous spending (IMHO) a significant amount of money on something not easily undone. It cost $25 and a few hours to repaint a wall color you dont like...not the case with floors. When we saw our floors, we were in awe. They came out absolutely amazing. Ciprian's crew is absolutely professional and did a top notch job. If you are hesitating based on the concerns of the final product, you dont need to with Ciprian! I would recommend them to any of my friends and family.

Chip and his father are fantastic - seriously, fantastic. Lets just get that out now - it's the key takeaway from my review. Backstory:My wife and I were in the market for new trim and baseboards in our condo, and I hesitantly chose Chip off of reviews only - it was a great decision! Estimate:After a visit the very day we chatted to measure, Chip turned his quote around in a week. The scope of work included installation of new 3.25 inch baseboard + shoe molding (provided by Chip), as well as install trim around all five interior doors of our condo (provided by me). It's worth noting that I removed the old trim myself, so this review does not encompass any demolition work done by Chip - only installation. My wife and I scheduled timing that worked for us, and that was that - very easy and no last minute changes from Chip's end. The project: Chip and his father showed up on time (actually 30 minutes early each day) and completed the project about 3 hours ahead of schedule (was booked for two full days, finished at 2pm on the second day). They worked incredibly hard, stopped for short lunches, and then got right back to it. Overall Impression: The installation went smoothly without a hiccup. Chip's estimate was accurate to within 20 feet - we didn't need any extra materials. Cleanup was a breeze, payment was easy, and Chip and his father are two of the friendliest guys you will meet. I cannot emphasize enough the honesty and integrity of these two - I will definitely hire them again for future work. A+++

Ciprian is a great guy to work with. He is not the cheapest and not the most expensive, but he is worth every penny of the service he provides. He helped me in a pinch when my floor contractor left me up in the air. He was timely and his communication was perfect all of the time. He does what he says he is going to do...period. What else can you ask for. I will use him for my future flooring needs.

We were in a time crunch and they came in and worked so hard and detailed to get the job done perfectly and quickly. Very communicative and professional. This is our second time having them do our floors. They are our go to guys for gorgeous hardwood flooring. My husband and I were so happy with their services. Father and son (5000 sqft in two weeks!) did an impeccable job. If you want an honest, detailed job with hardworking people .. Ciprian is the way to go.

My 16 year-old daughter begged to have her carpet torn out and hardwood floors refinished. So, we tore the carpet out ourselves and planned to DIY refinish the floors ourselves - until we saw them. The house was built in 1920 and these are the original floors. I had a local handyman take a look at the floors and he explained he wouldn't touch them. He also said it would probably be cost prohibitive to have them done. I called another local guy and he gave me over the phone, sight unseen, a very high number. I think he didn't want to waste his time on a small (10'x11' room with a small walk in closet). Ciprian took my call and stopped over later that day. He didn't dismiss my job and also didn't dismiss me when I said I wanted the imperfections in the wood left as is and to ignore the holes where the original radiator came up through the floor. I think the imperfections and holes give character and tell the story of the house. Ciprian thought he could get o the job the following week or possible the coming Friday if his current job ended early. He called Friday morning, arrived by 9:30 and was gone by 3. My daughter was/is so excited. Ciprian (and his guy) sanded the floors, put two coats of poly on and then added quarter-round to complete the job. I received a couple texts during the day, with pictures, of progress. We are happy. The floors are not perfect, but they are exactly how I wanted them. They aren't too high gloss either, which I don't like. Ciprian gave me an estimate for the rest of the rooms I may have done soon. I'll hire him.

We are putting our house on the market and wanted our floors refurbished. Ciprian came and gave us a proposal which we accepted and the work was scheduled. Since the house was full of furniture we assumed that it would be a two day job. When they arrived, they wanted to do the entire house at once and the entire first floor had to be completely emptied and furniture moving was not in there price. Both my wife and I are in our 60's so I am not sure who he expected to empty the house. His proposal didn't exclude furniture moving and based on the price we thought it was. . My wife and I moved everything into our garage for the exception of two sofas and three other pieces of furniture, which they agreed to moved for us. Then being a two story house with the bedrooms upstairs we had to check ourselves into a hotel. When the work was done, i was told to pay in cash, which I was unwilling to do for tax purposes. One of his emails did mention that he would prefer cash but and quot;preferand quot; being the optimal word. He argued that he didn't want the check in his company name and that i should make it out to cash, which i was still unwilling to do, We finally settled that i would make it out to him personally. The work was done on a Saturday so I asked him via a text if I could pay them on Sunday when the help move those few pieces of furniture back. He did initially agree to that but about an hour later he said they don't work on Sundays and furniture moving wasn't a part of the deal. If we needed his help he would charge us an additional $150 and come on Monday. My wife and I struggled but managed to get everything back in the house on our own. We are very pleased with the work but feel that we paid to much for their service with out the moving. And certainly didn't appreciate the arguing at the end. I would recommend them only if you dot every 'i' and cross every 't' before accepting a proposal. don't leave anything to chance

Ciprian and his colleague are the best! Very prompt and professional, I couldn't ask for anyone better. The quote came in slightly higher than the other contractors, but no one mentioned certain details that he did. I must say, you get what you pay for and he did an excellent job. Everyone thinks my floors are brand new! I will definitely recommend him to anyone!

I was very pleased with the service. They were on time and within budget. I have gotten many compliments on my floors since.

Ciprian far exceeded my expectations in terms of quality of work, and time taken to complete the project. The floor looks like new especially where the holes where in the floor he fixed them and the floor looks immaculate. He was very professional and completed the work in timely fashion but was not rushed. I will definitely use him again for more flooring work on the second floor of my house!

We called Ciprian for a free estimate and he came out to the house within one day. He made recommendations regarding refinishing and staining and sent an estimate through email that day. His estimate was very competitive and he was able to schedule the work within two weeks. Ciprian was very accommodating and pleasant to work with. He responded to all questions and concerns immediately and was prompt and efficient. He was ready to work at 6:45 a.m. and finished the job by 6:30 p.m. Our floors look great! I would and will recommend Ciprian Flooring to my friends and family, they did a great job!

Ciprian Flooring were very attentive, very on time, very on time with their quote, and very good with follow up. The only reason we didn't go with them is because we got a quote from a friend of our daughter's husband.

The facts (all verifiable via e-mail): June 21: Ciprian agreed to refinish my floors on July 13 July 3: Ciprian said he would send his insurance cert for my building July 8: Ciprian tells me he is going to charge me $200 to have my building added to his insurance (this is free and just takes a phone call). After calling him he offers to lower it to $100. Luckily I have a good relationship with another contractor (who unfortunately doesn't do floors) that offered to use his insurance so I called Ciprian back and told him we didn't need his insurance July 12, 3:27 pm: Ciprian confirms that he will be at my place at 7 am the next day July 12, 9:51 pm: Ciprian e-mails me to say and quot;You did said you find someone else , rightand quot; Ciprian chalks not showing up to a misunderstanding, which I find doubtful but not impossible. He seemed like a nice enough guy when I met him. That said, he still tried to charge an extra $200 the week the job was supposed to start. For some reason many of the smaller contractors want to pass on their insurance as a separate cost to their bid, as if it's a variable cost that the customer is responsible for. It seems a little off to me but fine if done up front. I found it very unprofessional to do so the week the job was supposed to start. At that point it was too late to find someone else (when I first called most flooring guys were a month out).

It went well. They didn't like the floor I bought, but not because it was bad, but because it was hard to work with, which is exactly why I didn't want to do it myself. They still did the work at the price quoted, worked a little longer, threw in some extras, so I'm happy, even though they weren't 100% happy.
