Description of Work: Could not have been more impressed! I had a fridge that quit on me. Called their service line and left a message. They called back promptly and were able to schedule me the next day. The technician came AT THE TIME SCHEDULED (what a concept compared to many other providers). He checked the fridge and found a fried motherboard--which he replaced at a reasonable cost. | |That alone would have prompted a positive review. But, two days later, and the fridge was not working again. When I called in, the technician fit me in THAT day. Unfortunately, he determined that replacing the motherboard would not solve the problem, and that the fridge was basically "dead". (Not a surprise since it was over 10 years old, and not an expensive fridge). | |So, I thought I was stuck paying for a motherboard I did not need. But, before I could even call and inquire, THEY CALLED ME, said they would send someone out to remove the motherboard, and did not charge me for ANYthing except the original service call fee (about $75 I think, I don't have the bill with me as I write this). | |Suffice it to say, I was positively FLOORED by the EXCELLENT customer service. I have already recommended this company to a friend, and HIGHly recommend it to anyone who needs prompt and HONEST appliance repair with a company that is obviously well aware of the value of excellent customer service. | |If any of my other appliances need work--this is my FIRST call!

Description of Work: My dryer was not working. Rich came out the same day, only hours after I called. Turned out some object was preventing the door from closely adequately. He charged me the minimum for the service call. I would definitely call Chicago Appliance in the future.

Description of Work: Our clothes dryer was not generating heat. I called Chicago Appliance and had a repairman at the house in just a couple of hours. After a brief inspection and a couple of tests, he diagnosed the problem. Fortunately for us, he had the required parts on his truck. In a few more minutes, we were back in business.

Description of Work: Used twice, once to assess a dishwasher in a condo that seemed to be leaking, and rather than waste my time and money said that it wasn't something that could be repaired and said I could get a new one same model through HH Gregg for not very much. Loved working with Mario. Second time was to install a new garbage disposal, and they fit us in while my wife happened to be home. Great service, very professional.

Description of Work: Rich was terrific. He called back in a timely fashion, showed up on time and amazingly fixed my washer even though my neighborhood had a power failure occur just minutes before he arrived. I held a flashlight as he worked in our totally dark basement.

Description of Work: They were highly responsive and was able to make an appointment for the evening of the day my fridge died. However, the tech called to rescheduled to the following night, because he couldn't get the part he was pretty sure he needed until the following day and didn't wanted to charge me $99 for just showing up. Showed up the next evening with the part, which what was busted and fixed the fridge.
