Mario arrived on time, was very pleasant, and was done with the job in 20 minutes. He explained the issue in case it happens again (we could probably fix the issue ourselves next time).

The repairman was able to come the day after we called and gave sound advice that repairing it would cost as much as buying a new one.

Service was extremely friendly and prompt. Called the service at 8:30, technician called back 5 minutes later and was at my condo fixing the dryer inside of 2 hours. Fixed what I reported as broken as well as a rattling sound that I didn't even report. Courteous, professional and best of all responsive. Will definately use again.

They were excellent and very competent.

Our washing machine stopped working over the weekend. Wouldn't enter the rinse/spin phase. Called on Monday AM and Rich called me back within the hour. I couldn't make the time he suggested but said he'd call me back later in the day to see if could make it a little later. He called back as promised and was able to meet me. He identifed the issue very quickly, got a replacement part from his truck and was done within 30 minutes. He was very friendly and efficient and we're glad to have our washer working again. We've historically used AA Appliance but would definitely call these guys again.

Their price was better than the other people I had called before. The work they did was also better. I was satisfied with them. They came immediately and they were professional.

Rich was very professional. All he really did was unplug and plug in the dishwasher, but he also gave me great advice. He let me know that if it breaks again, it would be cheaper to buy a new one. I really appreciate that he let me know that instead of taking my money to fix a 5-year old dishwasher. He was great!

I called Chicago Appliance at 7:00AM on a Saturday before office hours and was told that a repairman would call back in 10 minutes. He did. He was able to obtain the part needed and came to the house that day at the time he promised. The repair was finished quickly,the repairman was polite, and it was a good experience in every respect.

Rich, one of the servicemen, gave me advice over the phone on how to fix my refrigerator as opposed to coming out and charging me for the repair himself. He couldn't have been nicer or more prompt, returning my call within minutes. The advice he gave me over the phone fixed my refrigerator and I didn't have to spend a dime. I would absolutely use this company if I ever need appliances repaired in the future.

They gave us an Angie's List discount. You call their number and leave a message then a tech will call you back. They will try to diagnose the problem over the phone and if it's something you can do yourself then there is no charge. It's nice to have someone to talk to first, unfortunately with us it was something they needed to come out for. It was a little scary at first to leave a message with someone, but they do call you back very quickly and they were able to come out the next day. They were very professional.

They were great. They showed up exactly on time, and even called us on their way over. He immediately identified the problem and explained everything to us. He was very helpful. He guided us on how to correct problem ourself.

I have nothing but praise for them. They were quick and came on time. Rich, the technician, was knowledgeable and explained everything.

The person left me feeling secured that the job was done well and if there was any further problem he would return. I am confident about their service. The price was also fine.

They are good. I deal with one person all the time. Their price is average and they aren?t cheap. Every time he has come out he has done what he said he was going to do and everything has worked so far. Before he fixed the washing machine; something wasn?t spinning right in the washing machine so he fixed that. He fixed in the dishwasher; he found a staple in the dishwasher. He is pretty good and knowledgeable. He replaces the products in the appliances; if it?s a whirlpool appliance then he uses the whirlpool products. He shows up when he says he is going to.

Prompt, courteous, fixed. My suggestion to Rich (and other customers - please ask for this), however, is that when he writes up the invoice, his numbers should reflect the Angie's List discount. My invoice just says "$165" (it doesn't show the original price, 10% discount, etc.) A minor point, but it'd feel a little better dropping $165 in 30 minutes. Then again, my dryer works and was fixed within 18 hours of my Sunday call. Great service.

Very happy with my experience. I called the main number and Mario the technician called me back very promptly. Showed up within 1/2 hour like he said he would, diagnosed the problem (a broken control that needed to be replaced) and fixed it in about an hour. He had a great attitude and seemed like a patient guy. I had contacted 2 other "manufacturer authorized" repair services and both had long waits for appointments and also quoted me approx $100 just to come out and diagnose the problem. Based on that I would say Chicago Appliance seemed much more reasonable and fair.

I called the company and they have an answering service taking calls. Then the technician calls you back. I asked the woman on the phone how many technicians they have and she didn't know so I was a little skeptical of the company. When Rich called back, he took my information about the problem, and told me that the service charge would be $27 plus parts and labor - much less than some other companies that I looked at. And we weren't sure if the problem was fixable so I didn't want to pay a large service charge just to have someone tell us to buy a new dryer. I set the appointment with Rich on Friday. He was scheduled to come between 8 and 9 on Monday morning. At 8:30, he called and said he was on his way and would be about 20 minutes. I appreciated that phone call. Rich got here and I described the problem but told him that I'd been running the dryer before he come - and the smell was now gone! He asked whether the burning smell had smelled like lighter fluid - yes it had. And he asked if I had been using varnish or paint recently - yes I had. Then he described that when those fumes mix with the natural gas in the dryer they make that smell. It's has to do with the air intake pulled into the dryer. So there was no problem after all - it only cost $37 - which was a huge relief on both counts. Rich also showed me how to make sure that the pilot light was still on. (He also said that there are three technicians at the company.)

After calling a few other companies, I was prepared to pay at least $65 just to have someone come out and five me a diagnosis. Then I contacted Chicago Appliance Co and the technician returned my call promptly. I explained the problem and gave him my model #. In minutes he priced out the cost of a new motor and returned my call, advising me to buy a new machine, rather than spending a few hundred dollars on a repair. He was very helpful and saved me the cost of having someone else come out and paying their service fee.

Mario is thorough and persistent and good-natured about difficult appliances. He installed a new dishwasher seal, but it began to leak again. He installed another one promptly and at no charge. The real challenge was the washing machine. Two other appliance repairmen (from Angie's List) had already failed to find and fix the leak. Mario stayed with the problem until he found a small broken part and replaced it. He's my go-to guy from now on.

Excellent! My washing machine would not drain. I tried to run it again and it got worse. I finally went on Angies List to search for someone to repair it on a Saturday morning. I was afraid I had waited too long and would have to take off work on Monday to get it fixed. Rich returned my call within an hour and came out Saturday afternoon and fixed the washing machine. My two year old's sock had managed to get caught in a pump which is why the washing machine would not drain. Rich was able to figure this out in minutes and was out of my house with the machine working in about 30 minutes. He even gave me tips on how to prevent this from happening again and explaining how I could fix it myself. The cost was $145 which seemed more than fair for the service I received. I highly recommend this company!

Two other appliance servicemen looked for the washing machine leak and couldn't find it. Mario practically took the washing machine apart and worked until he found the leak and repaired it. He was conscientious and thorough.

I called Chicago Appliance and described my problem, the representative promised that a technician would return my call within 15 minutes. Rich called me within 15 minutes and said he could come by the next day, and gave me a 3 hour time range, along with a promise that he would call 20 minutes ahead. The next morning, I received a call from Mario, another technician from Chicago Appliance. He stated that Rich was tied up for the day, but he could come over in about 30 minutes. Mario came over and had immediately diagnosed the problem, and fixed it within 30 minutes as promised.
