Chicago Appliance Service Co - Chicago Suburban

Our clothes washing machine overflowed onto our floor. We called Chicago Appliance Service Co and talked to a friendly operator who said a technician would call us back. Rich, the technician called us back within 10 minutes and came over 1 hour later. Rich was great! He explained what had happened to the internal of our Washer/Dryer and our options for next steps. We could not have been happier with the courteous and professional staff as well and the super quick response. This company will be #1 on our list the next time a large appliance of ours goes on the fritz.

Prompt phone response from Al for a washing machine issue. He sent a very nice and competent technician the next day. They called before arrival and came right on time. Dennis fixed the issue very quickly. I was so relieved that I didn't need a major part or motor or something. He showed me how to clean out the drain and explained about the electronics, and venting, etc for the dryer. Even though this company was not on the service list on the Bosch website I felt from talking with Al that they were knowledgeable about the product. I was right.

The serviceman came out and diagnosed the problem as being a faulty water pump . He had the water pump in stock in his service truck and was able to fix it on the spot . Also, my garbage disposal was not starting the serviceman freed it up in a matter of minutes at no extra charge I would definately use this company again for future repairs on my aplliances. I was very satisfied with their work .

Wow! What a great experience! After waking up Saturday morning to melted butter dripping all over our fridge, we knew we had a problem so we checked Angie's List for a highly rated repair company who offers weekend hours. I called them before 8:30 in the morning to leave a detailed message with a professional message center. The scheduling person called back within ten minutes, and I was talking to my repairman less than ten minutes after that. (Loved the timely, great communication all morning!) David said he could come by before noon (3 hour window) and I asked if he could estimate a tighter window (busy Saturdays are not a good time to hang out waiting for a serviceman), and he did so, very accurately. He then called (as I asked) to give me an update on his progress on his two previously scheduled jobs, and then called when he was five minutes away. He arrived promptly, removed shoes when asked, and brought everything he needed to complete the job on the spot. David was professional, courteous, friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, comfortable with my three young kids running around, basically everything you'd hope a repair person to be! My fridge is cooling again and I know how to keep it running using his good maintenance tips. If this young man is representative of the whole company, I have no problem recommending them widely! A++ in every way!

My experience with this company was extremely good. Very happy with the service and the work done. I called for service and was provided with an quick response and the washer was repaired the same day. Reasonable prices. Will call them again?

I called and the woman who answered the phone was quite professional and said atechnician would call shortly. He did. He advised me that he needed the serial numbers and models from theappliances I needed repaired. He told me where to find them. I called again and gave the serial numbers to the woman who answered. The tech called again and told me (rather abruptly) that they were the wrong numbers. I would have to get the right numbers and call again. I went back and checked. They were the numbers I had given him. At that point I called another Angie'slist repair company. I provided them with the same number's I had given Chicago Appliance Service. They ordered the parts using those numbers and my stove and refrigerator have been repaired with a lot less hassle than with this company. More than any thing, the rudeness of the technician was very diappointed from an "A" listed company.

When I called initially, I explained my issue (Intake/Drain error light on our Miele dishwasher kept blinking 3 minutes into a wash cycle), and was told a technician would contact me shortly. About 30 minutes later, a gentleman called me and very apologetically informed me that they don't service Miele appliances, due to the limited availability of replacement parts. He recommended I try calling Abt Electronics, since they're one of the bigger Miele retailers in the area, and he thought there'd be a good chance they'd have replacement parts on hand - this ended up being awesome advice. I was impressed with how friendly & helpful the technician was, even when he clearly had nothing to gain. I'll definitely give these guys a call the next time I need any appliance repair work done.

Rich inspected the dryer, and did a thorough cleaning but determined that the problem was with the dryer vent. He recommended a superb dryer vent tech. Mario did the work on the washing machine. Both were exceptional. Professional, courteous, punctual and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

Came on time and identified the problem right away. When I told him this had happened before and asked him if it was worth repairing agian, he explained that it was a defect with the product that GE had updated, and that if he installed the updated product, I would not have further trouble. Of course time will tell, but I was impressed with his detailed knowledge. I would definitely call them again.

The guy was very courteous. He was running a bit late and he gave me a heads up that he was going to be late. He was very friendly and got everything sorted out really quickly. He showed me the part that needed to be repaired and I thought he did a very good job. I can only give a guesstimate as to what it was worth but I think the price was fair. As far as I can tell, the quality is good but it was only a couple of weeks back. So far, so good! We were very happy.

They cleaned up a bunch of dust that was there. They came out the next day and had the part in my car.

Mario was great - he was able to diagnose the issue w/ my dryer and not only replace the defective part but also provide a much needed cleaning on the inside!

When we woke up on Friday the 13th, our older Sub-Zero fridge was making a sad, sad sound that let us know that it was most definitely not working. With the summer as hot as it's been, we wanted to get it fixed as soon as possible. We called one of the Sub-Zero fridge recommended providers, but they weren't going to be able to come out until Monday and their price was high for an initial visit! David from Chicago Appliance Service was prompt in calling and on time in arriving in the window promised. He tried a couple of inexpensive fixes, but then confirmed that our compressor was out. He came back the following morning before 8am, and had our 20-year-old refrigerator up and running by mid morning. They left the space clean, were very professional, and very helpful in telling us what we need to do for good fridge maintenance going forward. I think the price was reasonable for the type of problem we had - compressor replacements are not cheap! But, much less expensive than a new Sub-Zero. We were happy with the work done and would use Chicago Appliance again!

I called and told them the problem. Based on what I said they (and I) thought it was a seal. Mario came with the seal and was prepared to replace it. After he took the front of the washer he noticed one of the drainage hoses was hanging. Turned out, that was the problem. Fixed right away. While the washer was going thru a cycle (to make sure it was just the hose), he showed me how to take the under panel off my fridge to clean it. He thought of this because he noticed I had cats and told me how fur build up is h****** the fridge motor and hoses. I love this company!

Overall it went extremely well. I called the number on their site and the woman took my information, and let me know that she'd have someone call me as soon as possible. The tech called six minutes later, said he was done with his other work for the day and could come out immediately if I liked; he was only a few miles away, and said he'd be here in about 20 minutes. He got here even sooner than that. I called for this repair work for someone else, and he was thoroughly impressed with this technician's work. The tech was prompt, professional, quick and pleasant. From the time he arrived, figured out the problem and left, it was maybe 20-30 minutes total. He vacuumed behind the unit and mentioned that the exhaust vent needs replacing. He doesn't do that work himself, but was able to provide the card of someone who does. I don't know if the cost was expensive for the work or not, and this was with a discount applied. However, we expected that it would be more, so as far as I'm concerned it wasn't expensive. The price was all inclusive. All in all it was a great experience and I would definitely call them again, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Our washing machine broke on a Saturday. After calling many providers on Monday morning, only Chicago Appliance Service could come out the same day. Mario called me a few times to go over what was broken, then arrived and got right to work. I had a two week old baby with me and was completely fried. He made it very easy and fast by finding out what part he needed before he came, and bringing it with him. All fixed within an hour. I would definitely recommend them.

They came out within two days of my call. The technician was very polite and had a lot of experience repairing washer/dryers. The washer of the washer/dryer was broken. When he looked at it, he found that the transmission was broken beyond repair. He told me that it would be several hundred dollars to repair it, but he also noticed that there were other problems with the washer that would likely need repair in the near future. Instead of recommending repair, which would have made him a lot more money, he recommended that I just replace the unit, which we did. Although replacing a washer/dryer is not cheap, I think Chicago Appliance Service saved me money in the end by not suggesting that we just repair the washer because we would likely have to have someone come out and fix it again in the near future. I really appreciate repairmen who recommend action that is not in their financial best interest. That is indication to me that they can be trusted. I would definitely use them again.

Mario was able to clear up the pump and test it to make sure if was working properly. about a hour of work and the total cost was 144. Very quick to respond and very professional.

Wonderful and fast, It was great that he had the part after I described the noise/problem to him over the phone. I will not hesitate to call again in the future. Rich eve told me he schedules appointments as early as 7 am! He is definitely a keeper!

Everyone I dealt with was courtieous and professional. They were very accomodating about making an appointment. The technician was on time and pleasant. He wasn't rushing. He showed me the problem and suggested it was in my best intrest to replace it rather than repair. I would use them again.

I called this morning and within 2 hours I had a technician over. He called 20 minutes before he arrived. The serviceman was professional, courteous, and prompt. He had everything looked and and fixed within a half hour. Oven is up and running again.

Within a couple of hours a service man was at our door. The service man, Rich, quickly diagnosed the problem as a malfunctioning oven igniter. He had an igniter on hand and replaced our defective one. in about 20 minutes. He took time to locate information in the stove manual on how to adjust the oven temperature if required. (It can be re-calibrated if necessary.) I was pleased with the service provided although rather expensive given that the part is not costly. I presented the Angie's discount coupon but was told the discount was already figured into the price. The serviceman took the coupon.

Excellent. The technician had a high level of knowledge and expertise and was able to correct the problem.

Called early, about 7:30am and spoke to Hassar, who took my information and shared it with a tech. Rich called me back soon after, and set up an appointment to come by between 10-1. He had diagnosed the problem and called me with a price of $220 at 11am. Al (the owner) called me at 11:30, to introduce himself and give his number. When I came home at noon, the fridge was completed. I called Al back to pay for the service, and he gave $20 off.

I own a rental property and received a call that the dryer was out. I looked up reviews on Angie's List and decided to call Chicago Appliance Service. I left a message on Sunday evening (4pm) and was called back by Rich within minutes. I communicated what I knew and gave my tenants information over the phone. Rich contacted them directly and while setting up an appointment tried a couple of things to troubleshoot. He solved the issue over the phone! My tenants have a 4 month old baby and by helping them out, he has earned my business moving forward. This is service.
