I arrived home from a work trip to discover that the food in my freezer had begun to thaw. I soon realized that the refrigerator was not very cool either. I started calling repair services on a Sunday to find someone to come on Monday. I left 2 voice mails. Chicago Appliance Service called me back within an hour. They indicated that they could come by first thing Monday morning. Demitrius arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the failed relay switch. He was professional and gave me tips about avoiding a similar problem in the future. The second repair company I had called finally called me back after the refrigerator was fixed!

Fixed refrigerator- they came the next morning, accommodated out schedule and did a quick fix and told us how to fix in the future. Great service!

Wonderful responsiveness! Husband broke the news to me late Friday night that the washing machine was broken, and i'm trying to figure out how to fit a trip to the laundromat into the weekend. We called Chicago Appliance first thing Saturday morning at 8:15am. Rich arrived to our house by 9:15am (!) and had the entire thing fixed and working within an hour. He took apart the machine, found this tiny plastic piece that broke, had it with him to replace, and put the machine back together. I was doing laundry by 10am, and everything is working great. Thanks for the fast excellent service! I'd highly recommend.

The ice maker and water dispenser on our KitchenAid refrigerator was not woking. After getting the run around from another service provider, we called Chicago Appliance Service Company. We were given a designated time window for the appointment. The technician phoned a half hour before the appointment to let us know that he was on his way. Upon arrival, we were greeted by David. He inspected the refrigerator and determined that wires below the door had been severed. He went back out to the truck to call in the work order and to get a quote. We agreed to the price and he proceeded to make the repair. Throughout the process, he was kind, knowledgeable and professional. He even took the time to show us the damaged wires. Once finished, he quickly cleaned up the area then tested the dispenser features. After years of working with various appliance repair companies, we were blown away with the honesty and professionalism of Chicago Appliance Service Company. Thank you, David, for granting us such a wonderful experience with this repair.

The services were provided by Rich. He was an excellent communicator--and kept me informed throughout the brief process. He did some early research to determine the most likely sources of our problem and quoted prices for both ahead of time. He let me know he'd give me about a 30 minute window prior to arriving the next day. He actually gave me about a 45 minute head's up from when he expected to arrive. Rich worked quickly (it only took about 30 minutes!), was right about what the source of the problem would be, explained it and showed it to me clearly, was friendly and polite, and did not leave any mess after his work. I have a french door refrigerator with a bottom freezer. Ice began building up on the bottom of the freezer drawer, and my warranty had just expired. Based on the Angie's List reviews, I contacted Chicago Appliance Service Co. for a repair. The number connected me to an answering service, but the gentleman returned my call within a couple hours. He was very helpful, suggesting a home remedy I could try on my own. When that didn't work, I scheduled a service call. They were professional, responsive, and I haven't had any problems since. It turns out the freezer drain has a small rubber valve that gets cruddy and prevents the melted ice from draining. The technician was in and out in 15 minutes. With better directions, I could have performed the repair myself, but you live and learn.

Very professional to work with. I explained to them the issue was the determined issue with the motor and had it replaced and working in 30minutes. I had other questions for him which he answered. I would use them again for other appliance issues.

The part was no longer available and Mario made it work some how. He returned calls very promptly called back to verify serial # model number. He was of great help. He was on time, worked with what he had. And got the job done.

I called and got their human-voice answering service at 8:32 a.m. Rich, the repairer, called me back at 9:44 a.m., and we arranged an appointment for 3:30 p.m. He arrived exactly two minutes early. He took apart the machine, discovered that two plastic parts were needed, went to his well-stocked truck, found the exact two parts he needed, and replaced the broken ones. Once he reassembled all the parts that distribute hot water throughout the machine, he had the dishwasher up and running by 4:05 p.m. The dishes are done!!! Parts: $51 Service call: $79 (I paid it, though I'd be more comfortable paying less, say $50 -- just to have them come out.) Labor: $59 (awesome!)

He came out and took the cover off my washing machine and checked for leakage, which there was not. He balanced it and rechecked it for leakage and that seemed to have fixed it. He was very informative and knowledgeable. He was also very nice and I was pleased with him and the service that he performed.

Called to make an appointment and the agent was very friendly and helpful. Informed me that the guys would call me back to discuss the work needed. Made the appointment with no trouble. On the day of the appointment, he arrived on time and worked quickly. Would recommend to friends and will use again.

My washing machine stopped working last night so I called to see if I could get it fixed today. The answering service had a technician call within 15 minutes and Mario was dispatched a few hours later. Mario came over and was extremely up front on what the problem might be, cost, and options. He explained everything to a level that I could understand and was able to fix it right away. He also had mentioned that if the issue was something bigger, it wouldn't be worth fixing which I greatly appreciated his honestly. Very good service!

Fantastic! I called and left a message and a technician called me back within an hour. I explained that I thought the seal on my dishwasher because it was leaking and that my washer was making a loud noise during the spin cycle. He refered me to his repairman Mario who called me within a half hour. I explained the problem and Mario asked me to get him the model number and he'd schedule a time. Once I texted Mario the model number he set up a time and we were set. Mario showed up on time and got right to work. He quickly figured out the problem and had the parts with him (which I really appreciated), he also went the extra mile and looked underneath the unit to make sure it wasn't leaking, and he noticed it wasn't level. He was able to straighten it out. For my washer, he listened to it and told me that the bearings were shot and it wasn't worth the investment to fix it ($600). Because he didn't do anything to the washer there was no charge (again I appreciated it). The cost was explained in detail and fair (I did get the Angie's List discount). I'd use them again for sure.

Called at 7:30 am. Got a call back within 10 minutes. I was rich's 2nd service call and my dryer was fixed before 10am. Fastest, easiest repair experience ever.

Called for a repair and received a call within 10 minutes asking what the problem was. Rich the technician was at my residence within 20 minutes. Repaired noisey dryer: replaced 2 drum rollers and a belt and cleaned the entire machine. After puting all the pieces back together he still heard a little noise. Took the dryer partially apart and found a coin that was making the noise. Replaced everything once again. Dryer operates like new. Saved me several hundred dollars that I would have spent on a new dryer.

They were early! Diagnosed problem quickly. Had the part to fix the washer in his truck. Would definitely use again and recommend to my friends.

We called on Monday morning around 9:30, and the job was done within about two hours! We left a message with the answering service, and Rick called us back promptly, then came over shortly thereafter. He quickly diagnosed the problem with our dryer, which was not producing heat or stopping automatically after a cycle. He replaced the part and cleaned out the vent. Great service!

I got a call back from Rick, the technician, within 15 minutes of placing my call this morning. He came out the same day, estimating accurately when he would be available and calling me with updates on his timing. He was polite, knowledgable, and quick. The whole repair was completed in 40 minutes and everything is working great now. What a pleasure.

I called for service and was able to schedule for the next day. David called to let me know when he was on his way. He thoroughly checked the connection, repaired the tubing that was leaking and tested it. The entire value assembly had been hanging out the back of the fridge and he secured it back in place. David also advised on how to spot future leaks, and on the cost of eventually replacing the valve if necessary. I'm very happy with the level of service from David and Chicago Appliance.

Rich showed up on time and was professional. I told him what I had suspected was the cause and after some trouble shooting by Rich it turned out the problem was not the igniter, but the thermal cut-off had gone bad. He had the parts in the truck and was able to change them out quickly with success.

Rich followed up promptly on a Saturday when I placed the initial call and then showed up right on time this morning. He had already purchased the required parts based on the information that he gathered from me on Saturday so was completely prepared for what needed to be done. The entire job took about 25 minutes and I am totally satisfied with the results!

Very professional. Did what they said they were going to do and did it on time. One of our dryers required that parts be ordered. Other companies wouldn't even do that. They just said no. The repairs were done in a timely way and close communication was kept. We will definitely use this provider again in the future.
