Chicago Appliance Service Co - Chicago Suburban

Tried to schedule a time that would have worked with my work schedule and they were more than responsive to that. Arrived at the scheduled time and went to work not only diagnosing and fixing the problem, but also explaining what was wrong. Machine was up and working in no time. Will gladly use them again.

Rich repaired the very old coin-operated washer in my apartment building. He was on time, very professional, diagnosed the problem quickly, had the necessary parts on hand, and absolutely knew his way around this machine. What's not to love about that!

I was very pleased with Chicago Appliance. David was extremely helpful and responsive from my initial contact with the company. He kept me up to date with the progress of receiving the necessary parts and was excellent at communicating. I appreciated the work that he and Chi Chi did!

Called the morning about an issue with the broiler and oven in my gas stove not lighting. I called Chicago Appliance Co's number and was assisted by a call operator. She said a technician would return my call within 15 minutes. They did and I was able to set up an appointment for same day service. All in all from call to fix was less than 4 hrs. Great service. Rick who arrived has the parts needed to replace both igniters. Friendly, professional and knew exactly how to assess the problem and made a point to show me what was wrong before he replaced the faulty parts. Price was fair and I believe appropriate for the work performed. Would certainly hire again.

Called me back with in 15 minutes of my initial call. Was able to schedule an appointment that day. Came at the appointed time and took maybe 15 minutes to replace the part (which he was able to bring along). I think the part itself was a little high - but service was excellent.

The service went very well. Rich was very punctual and friendly. He diagnosed the problem very quickly. He was excellent to work with, and I will ask for him again.

I called at 9:30 AM, got a call back in about 10 minutes, and Rich was here at 11. He explained the issues, showed me what broke, and replaced the motor. He was gone by 11:30. We've always used the manufacturers' service companies before. This was a breath of fresh air and couldn't have been easier.

Rich was honest and straightforward in his appraisal. Rare and refreshing to see in the repair industry.

Set up appointment for Tuesday around 12 noon. Technician arrived around 1pm. The day prior to his coming I turned off the refrigerator since I had already transferred the contents to another refrigerator in the basement. When he arrived I explained what I was experiencing. He , Elvis, turned it back on, tested everything - motor, fan, sensors etc, to make sure of performance. He asked had there been an ice build up and there had been. By me turning it off allowed the ice to melt per Elvis which allowed the drain to clear. Elvis checked everything to make sure that was all. It's now working fine. This is the second time I've used this company. Previously Elvis replaced the fan. He is very thorough.

On time, quick service, and Rich had the range up and running again.

The workman was great. He was helpful, offered to discount multiple jobs that were needed, and complete everything in a timely fashion. He was great, and I would recommend him and his company. I would definitely use them again.

Excellent customer service, price and punctuality.

Excellent-the dryer wasn't drying clothes, and based on what they told me over the phone, I checked the outlet for the vent at the exterior of the house. Sure enough, that was clogged, and when I cleared it, the dryer began working properly again. But in the meantime, I had notice that my washer was leaking, so I didn't cancel the service call. That turned out to be a bad pump motor, which the tech fixed promptly and professionally. I think I really got two fixes for the price of one.

Rich called promptly, asked for details about the problem, arrived promptly and did a great job. He had the right part already with him because he had asked the right questions during the phone call. I would definitely recommend Rich and Chicago Appliance Service Co. again.

The problem returned several days later. When told that, they concluded that an additional drain must be deteriorated. That particular drain is one that GE no longer makes and therefore they would not be able to fix it. They offered to refund $60--the repair portion of the bill. The check arrived a couple of weeks later.

Arrived on time, quickly found problem and fixed it. Very professional.

Excellent experience. Friendly, efficient technician, Rich, came two hours later and quickly repaired appliance.

The man came out and told us that he fixed the washer. He ran it without clothes and when I went to do the first load with clothing, the washer was much worse than before. It made horrible noises and didn't even run the proper cycles. The man came out the second time and said he needed a part. it would take a week to get it. He come a week later with the part and said he needed more parts and that we would have wait an additional 10 days for the other part. That meant we were without a washing machine for over two weeks and the we still didn't have it fixed. We were at wits end and told the man to forget it. We bought a new washer. UPDATE: The owner still charged for the service call but removed the service time charge spent at the home. Because of the fact that the technician couldn't fix the problem the first two times and said he had to come out a third time, we didn't have a washer for two weeks and were forced to buy a new washer.

The tech came out and diagnosed the problem. I had a question about the services performed and called Chicago Appliance. Al, the owner, called me back immediately and couldn't have been more polite and helpful. I highly recommend this company.

David arrived as planned and explained the estimating and repair process. He determined that the relay on the compressor had to be replaced and completed the work in about 15 minutes. He then cleaned the condenser coils and, in the process, showed me how to do this as part of regular maintenance. Overall, I was very satisfied with the service.

The problem was found to be the compressor of my refrigerator. The price of a new compressor is much higher than replacing my refrigerator with another one like it, but Chicago Appliance Company's employee's name was Will and he gave me some good tips when asked him questions I had about the purchase of a new refrigerator. He was knowledgeable, efficient, and had a pleasant manner. I would definitely use this company again.

David was able to tell the main electrical board needed to be replaced and that was the root cause of the problem on our GE Profile fridge. He had to go get the part but was back in less than hour to install it. Everything went fine, expensive but worth it, they also cleaned the back coils and gave advice on some maintenance to do to make it last longer.

The repair itself was quick and reasonably priced. The thermostat needed to be replaced. However, our service tech ran into some delays and did not do a good job communicating his delay and updating his ETA. The service window was 11:00-1:00 and shortly before 1:00 he sent a txt that he would be delayed until about 4 pm. Around 4:30 we had to txt the technician to find out where he was and he provided a revised ETA of approx 5 pm. He arrived about 5:40 pm. A call and offer to reschedule if this was inconvenient would have been nice.
