Rich called me back within 5 minutes and talked me through the simple reset I needed to do on the disposal. He was wonderful!

These are my go-to appliance guys every time. And I have a 3-flat so things are breaking all the time. Rich diagnosed the problem instantly and had the part on had. He had it fixed in 15 minutes. Then he took a look at my tenant's washer, showed them that they were not using the settings properly and that was all it needed. No charge.

Called on Wed morning at 9 am. Answering service took call and shortly afterwards company representative called. Said a technician would call to schedule and take info. Waited all day Wed and most of Thurs but never received a phone call. Got tired of waiting and called another repair company late Thurs and they came out on Friday morning to fix the problem.

Excellent service. Really a surprise. They looked at the problems, explained options, and a course of action was determined. Parts were ordered, and they came and fixed it. What was amazing was the stove repair was really challenging - they had to fish to find a wire that was disconnected between 2 steel plates. It was amazing the dedication and expertise to do this because any other installer would have said it was impossible.

The service man was very knowledgeable and had the part needed to repair the leak within an hour! I am very pleased with the professionalism, and readiness of the serviceman.

Our tech Rich was great called to say he was on his way came within time he said he would arrive. Was prompt explained what needed to be replaced had the part with him installed quickly & at a reasonable price . One of our best service calls ever would recommend this company to anyone. A+ service couldn't be more satisfied.

An appointment was made for service on Friday between 11am-1pm. I received a call at 945am telling me that they would not be at my place until after 4pm because a part needed to be picked up. At that point all Chicago Appliance did was ask me the brand of my wash machine. At 4pm no one showed up so I called and at that time the service person asked me to send him the serial number of my machine and that he was at the part store to pick up the part for what he thought would fix my machine. At 6pm still no one showed up showed up and I called again and he said he was on his way. He finally showed up at 730pm. When the machine was checked a part needed to be ordered. An appt was made for the following Monday at 10am. I received a call at 10am telling me that the part was shipped to another location and that the service person would not be there for another hour and a half. At this point I told him to cancel my service call because I had waited long enough.

Their service technician Manny came out and diagnosed and fixed the problem. He was thorough and excellent. He brought the correct drain pump with him in case that part had failed, but he found it had not so he didn't need to replace it. He showed me how to maintain the washer to prevent similar problems in the future. He had previously repaired our electric oven and that repair was terrific also.

Professional, knowledgeable, honest.

They completed the job in a timely and professional manner, explaining what the issue was , and what we can expect going forward.

Chicago appliance came out, assessed the issue and left quickly. I believe they correctly diagnosed the problem but a) ordered the wrong part because they said they couldn't find the model number (which I had if they would have asked); b) got the date wrong when they would return which wasted half a day with someone waiting for them when they never came; and c) when they came back with the wrong part - late - after telling me I was their first stop and not calling (I had to call them) couldn't do anything. Owner responded to concerns raised, evaluated the service needs and reported to homeowner that they were not able to complete the service based on the nature of the problem. Homeowner appreciated the extra review of the service needs.

Very efficient and professional installation. They also followed up with a call to be sure it was working properly.

Technicians (2) were excellent - they were fast and effective - they replaced a motor (incorrect motor was installed a year ago by someone else), and cleaned the condenser coils. I would use this company again.

I found Chicago Appliance Service on Angie's List and contacted them based on their reviews and the fact that they indicated they offered 24 hour service. *Note: this has since been updated on their Angie's List page; however, their website still contains misleading information as one could assume "We offer Same Day Service and a 24 Hour Answering Service, with Live Operators, 24 Hours A Day - 7 Days A Week" means that they have after hours service. On each of the 3-4 times I called answering service that evening, they told me that someone would be in touch in 20 minutes. As you can imagine, it was very frustrating to get no response for hours when you're expecting a call back and have a gas leak in an appliance that you'd like repaired promptly. Around 12 hours later (the following morning) I was contacted and told that they could send a tech out early in the afternoon. The tech was given the wrong city in my address by their office, so he didn't end up arriving until mid afternoon. I will say that everything from that point forward was very positive. Elvis was the tech that arrived and he was super friendly, knowledgeable, quick to identify the source of the gas odor and resolved everything. He even shared tips on how to most efficiently operate my other kitchen appliances while he was working on my oven. Thanks to Elvis' professionalism and positive and friendly demeanor, he helped turnaround what had been a negative experience up until his arrival. Solely because of my experience with Elvis, I will consider using Chicago Appliance Service again in the future.

It went very well. They did a great job

8 weeks after I moved in, I realized that the burners on one side weren't working. I originally posted a lower review of the company (though admittedly never reached out to them b/c it had been 2 months and I anticipated a fight). The owner reached out after seeing the review, and apologized and scheduled someone to come out when I'm back in town in a few weeks to resolve the issue at no additional charge. I'm impressed with the customer service as many wouldn't have bothered to follow up.

Turns out we had two leaks under our sink. The technician fixed our dishwasher, but told us that our kitchen faucet was also leaking and needed to be replaced. This was very helpful. A job well done.

Excellent. We also discovered an additional issue later and called Chicago Appliance on the phone to schedule a repeat visit. In discussing the issue they were able to identify the problem over the phone and advised that it would be more advantageous to purchase a new machine versus fixing the problem. I appreciated the honesty upfront versus scheduling an onsite visit and charging a fee only to tell me the same result. I would definitely use them in the future.

I called the answering service on a Tuesday afternoon. Rich, the service technician, called back within 5 minutes and arranged an appointment for the following morning at 7:30. He came early to accommodate my schedule. He arrived at 7:25, after calling to let me know he was on his way. He was professional and friendly and told me within the first few minutes that the stove probably needed a new igniter. The job was professionally done and finished quickly. This is the second time Rich has come to our house--and both times he was excellent. Chicago Appliance has become our go-to place. They are quick, responsive, and professional.

The service was well done, prompt, on time and quite professional.

Rich repaired the dryer in 20 minutes. Great work.
