Mario was great. He called me back and helped me reset the machine over the phone. It worked like a charm and there was no need for a service call. Really appreciated that he had enough knowledge to walk a newbie like me through the process despite the fact that the installation was not done properly and made turning off the washer kind of a challenge. Would definitely call them again and use this service for future cases that are not so easy.

This was a stove in a rental unit. The new tenant was moving in and we discover that neither the burners nor the oven are working. The previous tenant had no problems with the stove. The oven looks brand new so its worth repairing. We go to Angie's List, find Chicago Appliance Service Co, call them and within minutes, Adrian arrives. He is professional and friendly. He diagnosed the problem as needing a new Spark Module Control, he went for the part and within one hour from that initial call, the stove is fixed! It was unbelievable. The new tenants arrived shortly afterwards. It was just perfect. Even though the part was expensive, the hassle of shopping for a new one made it well worth it. My home warranty service call was more expensive than Chicago Appliance's service call charge. Their repairman listened to the washer and said parts weren't available for my older model so buy a new washer. Rick at Chicago Appliance 1) told me over the phone that parts WERE available, 2) opened up the washer to show me the condition of the parts and explained what to look for in worn parts, 3) said it didn't need repair, and 4) saved me from buying a new washer. My bonus from the visit is learning he could service my circa 1977 stove and dishwasher if they break down and parts are available. Oh, and he scheduled me for service right away and was punctual. Chicago Appliance will now be my go-to for repairs.

The repairman arrived on schedule, diagnosed the problem. ordered and picked up the needed part, and repaired the frig within four hours, Would definitely work with this service provider again.

I have been putting this off for a while because it's so hot but.... I called the company in the morning and received a callback from Julio who thought fast on his feet and asked what name brand and model I owned. I called him back a little bit later and he was here within a half hour. He diagnosed it as being the ignitor and had brought the part with him in anticipation of this. He replaced pronto. He was very quick courteous and professional and now my stove is ready for cooler days. I would use them again and definitely recommend Julio. A very good company.

I was able to get a same day service on a Saturday, which was very helpful. Ramon came out and conducted an initial assessment and determined that the thermal limiter was the reason my dryer was not heating up. Unfortunately, he did not have the part. The part was ordered and Ramon returned three days later to completed the repair. The price was $354 ($89 assessment, $165 labor, $50 part) before using their discount coupon on Angie's List. Also, Ramon was very pleasant and professional. He made some helpful recommendations for the ongoing care and maintenance of my dryer.

Adrian offered to come the day before originally scheduled to set up my washer and dryer, which was most appreciated. He made an evening service call since he was in the area, asked if he should put on booties, and covered the wood floors to prevent damage when setting up the washer and dryer, both of which are on pedestals. He strapped hoses together to keep them from swinging loosely, positioned the flexible dryer vent so it wouldn't get crushed during spin cycles, and angled the washer and dryer faces to give the doors as much room to swing open as possible. The following day, when I ran the washer for the first time, it threw itself out of balance so Adrian came back at no additional cost and quickly found the problem - the bolts that stabilized the washer drum during storage and moving hadn't been removed. After removing them, he repositioned the machines and ran the machine to ensure proper operation. Over the course of both days, Adrian was personable, conscientious, and professional. I'd definitely recommend him and his company if you need an appliance repaired.

Called for a service call on my Kenmore portable clothes washer (ca. 1970's). Instead of telling me it was too old to be repaired, they came out to take a look at it, and said the hose I needed was available and could be ordered. The hose was installed today and my vintage Kenmore is working like it's brand new. Chicago Appliance is now at the top of my list for appliance repair. Thanks, Rich, for getting my washer up and running again!

Excellent. Rich called me back on Sunday and set up an appointment for Wednesday. He could have come Monday, but my work schedule was too full. He was on time and completed the job quickly. Very personable and professional.

This is at least the second time I have used them. They are amazing. If I call Abt for service (which is where I bought the appliances), they will give you a date several weeks out! When I call Chicago Appliance, they are usually there within 2 hours!!!!!! They quickly assess the problem and usually fix it immediately. And their prices are actually very reasonable in these days of "$150 service call charge plus parts and labor". In this case, they determined that the freezer drawer sliders were loose (fridge is 10 years old), so they tightened them and then actually used a blow dryer to get all the frost off the food!

Very well. Problem was correctly diagnosed. Once replacement part was installed, washer worked fine.

Our serviceman, Rich, instantly diagnosed and quickly, skillfully repaired the dryer. He even checked back later to be sure he'd attended to a detail of the process.

Ramon came out on 5/15/18, on time, and determined the issue. Ramon went out to the store and got the part needed. Ramon came back and replaced the idler pulley on my Samsung dryer. I was impressed with the thoroughness of his examination of the machine. Two weeks later my dryer is working perfectly fine. Ramon is professional, polite and good at what he does. Also spoke to the owner who also was professional and polite. I would definitely hire this company again.

I called the company on a Wednesday afternoon and one of their technicans was available on Thursday around 11am. He arrived promptly and found the issue immediately. He ordered the part and came back a few hours later once the part was available. He repaired the part in 10-15 minutes. Very professional and communicative to what the problem was. Would hire this gentleman again!

It was an expensive noise and we'll need to get a new machine very soon. Adrian explained the problem thoroughly and showed us the part that is in bad shape. He was very professional and knowledgeable.

I called Chicago Appliance Service Co on Friday regarding my dryer. Their answering service took a message and CAS called me back in 10 minutes and were able to set me up with an appointment the following day. Adrian was our technician who called to set up the specific time. He gave us an appointment window and then texted in the morning to let us know the specific time he would arrive. He arrived at exactly at that time. He offered to wear foot coverings when entering our home. He diagnosed the issue with our Kenmore dryer -- it needed a tune up/replacement of the moving parts within the assembly (drums, belt, etc) and had the parts with him to perform the maintenance/repair. He also vacuumed out the lint trap and hose. He pointed out the worn out components and the lint trap. He re-positioned the dryer and ran it for me to confirm the noise had gone away. He was here a little over an hour. Parts and labor all in was appx. $165. Adrian was very friendly, polite, and professional. He explained the work, steps involved in the repair, and the warranty for the work. He also provided some maintenance advice for the appliances (washer and dryer) going forward. I would definitely use them again if we have an issue with another appliance.

The owner responded to our call right away, even called back after I called with another question. Gave us a very reasonable quote over the phone for what we suspected was the problem. He was very knowledgeable and upfront about everything and scheduled service for the next day. During that time, I changed my mind and decided to replace the dryer for a larger unit. I called them to cancel. He was very gracious. He is the one I will call when I need appliance service.
