Description of Work: I purchased the big deal for 'the toliet tune-up. Technician arrived checked out toliet and overall plumbing systems.

Description of Work: Provider drained tub, unclogged bathtub, checked pipes in basement to see no leekage. I can shake the feeling that the work should have cost less. I was not hom so, my mom handled the situation, however I spoke with "Ray" the plumber over the phone. He tried to explain what he was going to do and I understood most of it. However, i have to say, he stated he would be using a small machine plus a vaccum and my mom advised me she only saw him use a vaccum. It seems as though the price of the work amounted to $115 and I was charged about $100 to drain tab. If thsi is the case, i would have appreciated the option and my mom would have drained the tub. Not sure what to make of it. It is just hard times and I do not want to feel like i over paid under any circumstances. Guy was professional, punctual and overall good. I am a bit torn about whether or not i will use again.

Description of Work: I bought from Angie's list for $99 a two hours plumbing work deal which was supposed to be provided by Captain Rooter Plumbing. The plumbing work was supposed to be done in my apartment in a regular residential high rise building in River North, Chicago. I called repeatedly the next day, but he never returned my calls. I sent him emails in order to discuss the work and asked him to forward me his insurance and a copy of his plumbing license as required by the condominium association. He emailed me back asking for another $35 for parking and to provide me with the insurance proof. I told him that I will pay him the additional $35. Then he found another reason not to provide the advertised services. He stated that he does not want to provide services in a commercial building. I repeatedly told him that the building where I live is a residential building not a commercial building. Then he informed me of his definition for commercial building. He stated that every building with more than three apartments is a commercial building and he will not provide any services.
