It was pretty worthless. They tried to rod the line but didn't put the effort into rodding the entire line. They forgot the camera on the first day. They came back the next day and they brought a camera, but it didn't work, so they never did get views from the camera. It took a lot to get them to come out. They didn't want to come out. They were very busy. It was a really bad experience. I would have been more than happy to pay for repairs if they had been needed but they wouldn't do what they needed to tell what was needed.

They came out the first time in November of 2013 to eliminate the standing water in my basement. They did give me a 1 year in case the basement flooded again. Within the last two days the basement became flooded again. I called this company and told them it was flooded again and that my warranty was still good. The gentleman came back out but said it could not be fixed and that I needed to have pipe repair done for a charge of $2600. I asked if this would fix the problem and he said there was no guarantee. The problem could be with the city backup.

I wasn't particularly happy with the experience. They showed up on time for the original appointment and did the work as promised, but we later noticed that the new sink was leaking and called the company about the issue. The company stated it would send someone out the next day, but no one ever showed. We called them the next day to learn why, and we were told that the gentleman was sick in the hospital. Ultimately, the leak wasn't repaired until a few days after we noticed it which was inconvenient.

The tech, Ray, called to confirm the appointment and allowed me to slide it 30 minutes. He arrived on time, assessed the best method to do the inspection and got to work. He let me watch the video of the camera going down the line and gave advice on what to do and not to do, to keep the lines working well. Ray cleaned up after himself and made sure not to leave a mess. He cleaned the floor by the stack access. He was in and out in 45 minutes or so. Ray was pleasant to work with and would definitely recommend him for someone else to use.

I felt that this was a hard sell sales call, not a repair call.

Job was bigger than I thought. It was more expensive.

We recently purchased a home and noticed the drain in one bathroom was almost completely blocked so that water took more than half an hour to fully drain. Ray inspected the drains in our sink and bath tub, and talked to me about two different methods he could use to fix the problem. In the end, he rodded the pipes and cleared up many years of gunk! Ray was courteous and efficient. He completed the job within an hour, and did a nice job of cleaning up after the fact.

Ask for Juan. He knows what he is doing. He was very professional and got straight to the root of the problem. We had other members come out once; it didn't go so well. My husband showed them how to unfreeze the pipe the way Juan did after an hour of them trying. I would wait until Juan is available to have them back out again.

The provider was unable to meet my schedule requirements so I have requested a refund of the Big Deal from Angie's List.

I purchased a Big Deal for $39 for a plumbing service call, plus $49 credit toward repairs. I had him come out to give an estimate on the faucet on the tub which was leaking. He was also late showing up for the window of 1-2pm, I called at 2:15pm to see where they were and they did not show up until 3:30pm. The quote they gave me was an additional $300, I did not feel like the quote was accurate. I had other estimates done and tried to negotiate with him about still performing the service and he started to yell at me saying he could not do this service for a lower price. I went to the store and got the parts myself and just fixed it myself. He requested I ask for a refund on this deal.

I purchased an Angie's Deal and was promptly contacted and job scheduled. The plumber was running late due to a problem at the job before. He was about 3 hours late but the office kept us informed. The job was completed satisfactorily. There seemed to be some confusion as to how the charges should be computed because of the Deal, but was settled fairly.

The company let me that they don't service my area. The provider was professional and responsive with an email letting me know to get a refund for the deal.

I purchased the 'big deal' promotion for a $39 service credit and a $49 credit towards service performed. The $39 was a complete waste of money. The person that came to visit me acted as if he didn't want to be there. He didn't even have any tools or even a piece of paper to write anything down. He had no idea about my promotion. He was only in my house for about 15 min. after saying it would cost me over $285 to fix each of my runny toilets. Outrageous! Honestly, I didn' t have a good feeling and at that point just wanted him out. Don't purchase the 'big deal' WASTE of MONEY and TIME!

It went well. Can't remember the details.

They are professional and pretty good. I like his timeliness, whatever time he said, he came on the dot, overall the quality of the service, his cleanliness and the way he did it and all that was pretty impressive.

The plumber came approximately when he promised. He kept in contact with me till he arrived. He worked quickly and efficiently and completed the job promptly. He was gone in about 30 min. That's why I think the price was a little high. I did not receive an itemized bill, so I don't know how much was the materials, labor and weekend work fees.

Plumber found blockage at the curb.

He contacted me quickly. He showed up at the time he had put in, not the time we agreed to but he came back. He said that going over to Menard's to get the stuff we needed would use all the Big Deal time so he would come back. I was confused about what he meant but he said we would work it out. My husband was home at the time of the work. The person who did the work subtracted the cost of the Big Deal from the bill. I called because this didn't seem right to me and the person on the phone yelled at me repeatedly that I had agreed to this arrangement. Funny, I don't remember agreeing. So actually the cost was $450 plus the Big Deal which seems high for the work that was done. The faucet was not secured on the outside of the house so my husband did that because we did not want to have to deal with these people again.

The service guys were nice enough and arrived on time for the appointment. However, they came in with muddy boots and didn't offer to remove them. They also didn't introduce themselves and were dressed sloppily, which I normally wouldn't care about but it added to the aura of unprofessionalism. They flushed a clogged sink with some air, which took them less than 10 minutes, and charged $180, which seemed really high. It took them much longer to run my charge card and write up a receipt than to do the actual work.

Fine with price and work performed. The guy was polite, adaptable to unexpected situations (couldn't find parts to very old fixtures, so did alternative work to fix problem). Short story: the company was not good about communicating with me. I had to initiate every communication. Long story: I never got a call from this company after I booked the Angie's deal. I had to call them. When I did they were in emergency mode due to weather, which I was fine with: my problems were not an emergency. But again they did not call back to schedule and did not return my call asking them to call me back. I finally made voice contact and got scheduled. But then the time window came and went without a call from them. So... I called, and they said the guy was running late. Yeah: I understand running late. I don't understand the lack of courtesy in being informed.

My husband met with the plumber and I was told that initially there was confusion regarding the type if service needed and the coupon details. The amount of time to fix the problem was well under an hour for the two hour time purchased but the clog was not covered. It worked out and the plumber was able to complete the job.

It worked out fine. We didn't have to pay any additional cost. Two people came out, and they said that they did not provide clogged drain service for the price of the coupon that was purchased, however, they had the equipment in the truck, and it took them less than 10 minutes to unclog the drain, and so they went ahead and did it. He came out as scheduled and was able to provide the service needed without any issues. The price of the big deal was too expensive just for a clogged drain.

I was very satisfied. He worked hard and steadily and tested everything out to make sure it was functioning as it should before leaving. I would recommend this company for future work.

Again, the toilet bowl was more costly than expected but that was fine. The faucet was supposedly fixed but it is the same as it was before (handle arbitrarily drops without pressure). I have requested that they return but have not heard from them.

I had purchased such a service for $99 several weeks ago from Angie's list and gave some dates, but never heard from them. Then I found out that they just respond to Angie's List directly instead of to me---which has never happened before with other services I have ordered. Then the problem became a big problem the day before Thanksgiving and I called them direct saying that I had bought their service for $99 a couple of weeks ago---and they said they had given me a date on Angie's List and expected to hear from me. Since it was now Thanksgiving weekend the same service cost $350, but they subtracted my $99. So the only problem was this could have been cleared up before for $99, but now that it was a Thanksgiving weekend, it cost more---which I understood from their standpoint. However, I think Angie's should clear up this problem for the future. Nowhere does it say that I have to check Angie's list every day to find out if I have been given an appt. The service should (& all others in the past have) called or e-mailed the me directly. |Also, I have received many requests for my review on Captain Rooter's and I kept replying that I already said all of this on 11/29/13. So I am writing it again, as I cannot seem to stop these requests.
