Description of Work: Brian Allendorfer was one of several companies I contacted to give us (a 3-unit condo) an estimate on masonry work that was to include extensive tuckpointing and repairs and installation of a new gutter and downspout. After a long, thorough inspection with estimator Mark, and a promise of an e-mailed estimate, we never received an estimate, despite my calling twice for it.

Description of Work: This company is among those closest to our location. Unlike other companies, however, it will not provide service in this neighborhood. Given that this is an area that is nearly all Afro-American (excepting myself and a few others), the natural reaction is to feel this is a kind of "red-lining" by this company; it prefers to work in white neighborhoods. I have absolutely no basis for believing that this is their motivation, but it is an inevitable suspicion when the company is not located at distance. My suspicion is strengthened because I saw no information Allendorfer's website about its service area. We chose it both because of its high rating with Angie's list and because of its relative proximity, compared with other listed firms offering the same service. Unless Allendorfer can respond affirmatively to this question,

Description of Work: My first encounter with this company left something to be desired- it took between 10-14 days to receive a call back. When they did call, Brian was very apologetic and offered to give me an estimate. He came out promptly the next day and emailed me a quote the following day. Because of Brian's response, I would consider them for the job.

Description of Work: The representative came out to check out 2 areas that were getting moisture. I thought it may have something to do with the roof. It did not. The representative was very helpful. He told me how to fix the moisture issues. I actually do need a new roof, and would use them for that.
