Very well! Brian Allendorfer stayed in communication the whole time, he came out to look over the house, provided siding samples, opinions, etc. His crew were extremely professional & did a great job, from start to finish. And it was a huge job, so it was a relief to work with such a friendly company, from the lady handling the office all the way to Mr. Allendorfer. I would definitely use them again.

Representative was friendly and answered many questions when he came out to inspect for a quote based on my schedule. Estimate was provided quickly. Chose another contractor based on price.

We are having some difficulty reaching the estimator to revise the estimate. Thus far, we've had to place 3-4 calls and wait several days before getting called back. They are very busy and this is a small job so we will see how it goes.

The siding was done about 2 weeks after the roof was completed. I didn't know when they were coming & may not have noticed the new siding except for the debris I found on my driveway. It wasn't a lot but I first noticed shavings on the driveway which brought my attention to the siding (it also explained the half empty liter of pop I found on my lawn). The siding was very dirty and I did call to let Brian know. I got a phone call the next day indicating it would be cleaned. It was & it now looks great.

The roof looks great. The true test will come this winter as one of the main reasons I had the roof replaced was due to ice dam problems each winter. Hopefully this problem has been solved. Brian is very knowledgeable and helpful in making suggestions to eliminate possible entry points for water (my old chimney.) He knew my project wasn't a rush and I didn't ask how long before the work would be done however I was concerned when it took more than three months from my initial phone call before the work was done. Brian had explained when I met with him that they were very busy. If you have a satellite on your roof, I'd suggest not having them re-install it. Brian was clear it would not be positioned correctly but it was so bad I had to call my satellite company and have it completely re-installed. I've also recently discovered that when my old attic fan was disconnected (they don't do electric) it resulted in losing power to outlets in the house.

Marc came by very quickly to give us an estimate. He was very friendly and professional and gave us the most thorough explanation of what the problem was and what needed to be done to get it fixed in comparison to other companies. In the end, the condo association voted to go with another company who was slightly cheaper and could start work immediately. I will definitely keep the company's name and number on file for future reference.

Bryan was very polite and prompt. He actually went up on the roof with a ladder before giving his quote. His men originally showed up with the wrong color brick for the chimney, but replaced it quickly when I told them it didn't match the house. He also did tuckpointing for me. They cleaned up quite well afterward.

It took more than 4 weeks for them to have someone come out and look! And when he did come out, he said it would be another 3 weeks until I got a quote! That was only after calling them at least 10 times. And I haven't gotten the quote yet!

I called three times over three weeks to get an estimate. Each time, I was told they would try to do it that week. About a month after my first call (after I chose another roofer), Allendorfer called to see if I still needed the estimate.

I contacted this company via e-mail, and also left a phone message. After one week I have not heard anything from them. They may call yet, but I am not likely to work with them.

I left a voice mail asking for an estimate and didn't get a response. I followed up with a second phone call and spoke with a woman who took my information and said someone would contact me. I never heard from them.

I called and provided all of our information. The receptionist said an estimator would call to schedule an appointment. That was over three weeks ago. No one ever returned my call.

I received the quote in a timely manner. It was a bit more expensive than the other quotes I received and chose to go with another company.

We contacted this company via e-mail and requested an appointment for an estimate, on gutter installation and cleaning. Never heard back from them, no phone call, no e-mail, nothing until two weeks later, when we received an absurdly high estimate in the mail. By ''absurdly high,'' I mean more than double the highest estimate we had received from any other bidder and almost quadruple what we ended up paying. How they were able to provide an estimate without ever talking to us or seeing the jobsite, I don't know. And why they thought we would even consider spending that much money with a company, that couldn't be bothered to make a phone call, or even respond via e-mail, is beyond me.

Overall, Brian was fair, professional, and most of the work done was good quality. I was especially pleased with the shingles and the carpentry work on the garage. I was not pleased with the appearance of the copper on the dormer. The seams were soldered and are still bright silver in color in stark contrast to the copper itself although the work was completed four months ago. Other concerns: 1. They did not meet the agreed upon deadline. Some of the delay was due to weather, but most of the delay was due to their ineffective management of the sub-contractor. 2. Overall scheduling and management of the project was poor. For example, they made several commitments to be at the house on various days to continue work then failed to show and at times did not even call me ahead of time. 3. They miscalculated the amount of wood sheathing replaced on the roof. 4. The initial clean-up was totally inadequate. They sent a crew back and still missed nails and other debris.

After two attempts to obtain a quote for roof repair, I would not recommend this company. Both times I called, I was told it would be several days before anyone could even call me back to schedule an appointment. Both times, no one ever called back.

I was extremely disappointed in how this company handled the bid process. It took nearly a month and several calls before anyone came over. I understand, they're busy because they are good. However, the rep then proceeded to stick our stuff into a folder and after waiting several more weeks, I had to chase him down. This was not a trivial job. We have a jumbo six flat with two large skylights that needed a complete tear-off plus new skylights and downspouts, and a five-car garage that needs a roof, gutters, interior walls, doors, and windows. Figure well in excess of $50,000. Anyway, when I finally got the bid, he had mixed the two buildings instead of giving me separate quotes as I had requested, left out half the stuff for the garage, and omitted the 4-story downspouts on the main building. We decided that if it's this hard to get a quote, we'll go with one of the other companies from the List.

The work and the service was exceptional.

I spoke to 4 other companies, and none of them found these same problems. There was a slight problem with the flashing, not a major one like they had suggested. They were difficult to get a hold of.

Came out in a timely manner to do the estimate and then called to schedule the work fairly soon after acceptance of proposal. The workers were on time, and got the job done quickly and neatly. The caulk job looks much better and thicker than the original caulk we had. We even got a call to check on what we thought of the work after they finished.

They were very pleasant and professional on the phone. I had gotten their name from the list with high marks, and was looking forward to possibly hiring them. Now I need to call someone else for second estimate before decide. Too bad.

Estimator was very punctual and accessible. I went with this company because the estimator seemed to have great integrity and pride in his work. Once the deposit was paid, it was difficult to get the crew to report for work. When they started the job, it was VERY PROFESSIONAL and EXTREMELY WELL EXECUTED. Unfortunately, when they started the job they realized an additional masonry repair job was in order. The additional job cost $6,250. It was quite a surprise for me. After the job, there was a little leaking from the roof. Thank god for the guarantee. They came right over and made all necessary repairs immediately. My recommendation would be to deliver the deposit payment when they start work and wait at least two weeks after the project to make the final payment. This will protect the consumer.

I got several estimates to re-roof my house & garage. B. Allendorfer was the only ones who insisted that my dormer was not pitched enough and needed a solid membrane roof instead of the existing shingles. This fact made their bid over 50% higher than all the rest. The shingles worked for over 30 years without a problem and all other contractors said shingles would work so I didn't go with B. Allendorfer.

I was pretty disappointed with the response. I received a call about a week after I left a message, it was a staffer saying that they couldn't find my house. We didn't have an appointment set up. She said someone would be out soon to give us an estimate. A staff member showed up on a Saturday close to a five weeks after I made the initial call. I had honestly forgotten that I had called for an estimate. It took two more weeks to get the estimate in the mail. It was close to $2,000 more than the bid we accepted.

They said they would call me on a Monday to schedule one. They didn't, so I called them on Tuesday and left a message. They called me back a month later after the work was already done.
