Responsive, honest, patient. Big money decision to replace or repair, Chris talked me through all the options and gave a fair price and it seems like good work. He even had the guys install an antenna for me while they were there. It's too early to tell if the repair worked, but I am very happy with the price and the service experience so far.

Our house has a "flat" roof. The roof looked OK on the surface, but the roof gave way when walked on, and water stains appeared on the upstairs ceiling every spring. I got a quote from Blue Sky and from another roofing company, both were listed on Angie's List. Chris from Blue Sky seemed to know far more about dealing with interior moisture than the other guy. Chris was very patient when negotiating his contract with me. We ended up with a contract tailored to my situation: Blue Sky's workers would open up the roof in sections, my family handyman would treat any moisture and replace any wet insulation, and then Blue Sky would rebuild the roof much better than before. Everything turned out well. Blue Sky's workers were careful and considerate, and worked well with my family handyman. The roof seems much better now: the wood decking is stronger, there's finally proper insulation above the decking, and rainwater drains better. We haven't gone through a winter yet, so I can't promise that the roof is perfect, but at this point I'm pretty confident that I finally have a good one. I highly recommend Blue Sky Roofing.

i received estimates from several roofing companies.I narrowed it down to Blue Sky Roofing. I contacted them several times concerning the estimate and questions in general. All questions were answered to my satisfaction.I decided to wait and contact them in the spring of next year because they would not be able to get to me until late in the season I contacted Blue Sky Roofing the following year May12, 2015. I explained I had an estimate from last year and two more projects they might be interested in doing. I was told Carlos will call me to schedule an appointment to meet. Carlos scheduled an appointment for May 14, at 10 AM. He failed to show. I called and he rescheduled for May15 at 10 AM. He came and we discussed the roof and the other two projects (the back porch steps and rehabbing part of the basement) told me he would email the estimates. I never received them. Contacted him June 11 to inquire about the estimates. He told me he sent them 3 or 4 days after we met. Stated he was not in the office at the time but would check when he went there. That was the last I heard from him. I am now in the process of finding other contractors to do this work.

I did my homework. I got quotes from 6 different roofing companies. I asked a lot of questions and diligently checked references. I ultimately chose to work with Blue Sky Roofing for several reasons: 1. Their prices were competitive (not the cheapest, not the most expensive) 2. Chris was incredible responsive, often responding to emails & texts within minutes 3. They provided flat-rate cost for masonry work (everyone else's quotes were unit costs and most reluctantly provided 'worse-case scenarios' only when pressed). The crew was professional and cleaned up every day. Aside from delays due to rain which was out of their control, everything went according to plan. Blue Sky Roofing did a top-notch job. The roof looks beautiful, the masonry looks great, and I couldn't be happier with the work they did and my decision to hire them. They even conducted some repairs/improvements to my roof that they didn't charge me for. The only mistake they made was minor and they corrected it right away. I had requested the new downspout to be disconnected from the sewer so it drains onto my lawn and they mistakenly installed the new downspout into the sewer. But they came back the next day to fix it right away. I highly recommend Blue Sky Roofing. Chris and his family and crew are the best. I would definitely hire them again for any future roofing or masonry needs!

It really is the tale of 3 different experiences, on the three sides of the property. The one wall's quality appears excellent, one of them appears incomplete, and one is in-between. The wall which appears to have been done well was the easiest to get to, as it faced an alley, the other two were not quite as easy to deal with, which may have been some of the issue. This is also a roofing company primarily, and I do not know anything about their roofing prowess. Though I did ask for a roofing quote and have yet to receive it 8 months later. I also started the process in the fall of 2013 and the 3rd wall was completed in September 2014. The wall between the two houses, which was the most difficult to get to, still has a few cracks in the mortar, and while certain areas look awesome, others look overlooked. The front of the house was mostly well-done. They did a good job of matching the color, and consistently implementing the mortar. But, I shouldn't have to point out places that were missed, such as under the stairs, or around the door frame. They also up-sold me on some lintel work, and then were not able to complete it - I was not required to pay for it, it was just an odd turn. I am probably a pain customer because I inspect the work that's done and ask other contractors I know about it. I did contact the company about some of the cracks left, etc. and didn't quite get a response that left a warm and fuzzy feeling. Everyone was very polite and professional, just not that customer facing. If you were to have a smaller, easy to get to wall - I'd recommend them to do the tuckpointing. Anything more complicated I'd go somewhere else. I have no opinion on their main business of roofing.

Everything went well. There was only one minor issue but for the most part everything turned out great.

This is the second time I've used Chris and his team and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. They are always very flexible with communication (text/email), which is important to me since I travel a lot and can't always get to a phone or mail in a signed proposal. First off, I've had several contractors actually take note and compliment the gutter installation he did for me last year. It's always good to hear other professionals reaffirm the work that's been done. Second, for the work that was done in this review, the attention to detail and extra effort was amazing. What I was most impressed with was that Chris was able to procure some of the vintage, chicago-style salmon colored brick that perfectly matched my home. The vent holes they filled up are unnoticeable. I haven't seen many contractors that would have an eye for detail like that -- treating my home like their home. Overall, Blue Sky has impressed me again and exceeded my expectations.

The service went very well. After first contact the vendor was very prompt on performing the work as requested. The company was very professional and courteous to the resident of the condo association. They will definately be used again in the future.

Chris and his crew were an absolute pleasure to deal with. They were consistently gracious, professional, timely and competitively priced. They also removed and replaced damaged boards underneath the old vinyl siding that had been hit with water from the old vinyl. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

Blue Sky Roofing is an excellent company to work with. They are excellent because they listen to what you want. They essentially execute what you want. If there are issues with their job, they will discuss with you and they will make you happy. I've had a lot of experience with them.

He was concerned with saving us money, which was nice, so A for price. He correctly identified the poorly installed aluminum siding window wrap as the cause of our stain. However, out of 5 companies that ended up looking at the window wrapping, he was the only one who said that we should just add some caulk to it instead of removing it and installing a new wrap properly. I took that as a sign that his level of experience was not what was needed to get the job done right. Also, when he was diagnosing the ventilation for the attic, he said that we should add an exhaust fan, but only after going through the winter and seeing what type of condensation we get. Though an exhaust fan may work for our space, as I have talked with more and more roofers and done my own research, I decided to go a different route, i.e. adding the appropriate amount of intake ventilation with a continuous eave/edge vent (our house has no eave or overhang for soffits.) Therefore, the quality grade is a D. Also, as he was walking in my attic, which just has floor joists, he accidentally stepped off the joist onto the ceiling of one of the lower rooms. Thankfully, he didn't go through the ceiling, but he very easily could have, which is why the professionalism grade is a D. Lastly, I don't think I ever actually got an estimate from them, but I wasn't looking very hard for one since I had already decided I would not hire them. The bottom line: I appreciated the money-saver estimate, which is what Blue Sky provided, but eventually decided I'd rather pay more for what I see as the long-term fix.

Not only was the cost reasonable but they worked quickly and with quality. What is most outstanding about the Blue Sky team is the responsiveness and customer service focus of the owner, Chris. On this project & the first one he did for us (entire roof replacement), he answered every question & concern with true professionalism and promptness. As the President of our small condo association, I speak on behalf of all the owners when I say that we recommend Blue Sky wholeheartedly!

They were good. They were nice, readily available and prompt with their quotes.

It went great. Chris came out and checked the chimney for repairs and inspected the roof as a whole. I was pressed for time because the chimeny was leaking all over my drywall ceilings and then ending up in the basement. He squeezed me into the schedule 2 days later so I was ready for 4 days of rain that was coming our way. I'd had the chimney and flashing replaced a year before by a company who did a very bad job. They had a super service award so don't take that as god's honest truth! It started leaking again so I needed a new company to do the repair. The flashing and shingle work was phenomenal. My father in law is a professional home remodeler and agreed that the work was top notch. He's hard to impress when it comes to home repair. We just got 2 inches of rain in 30 minutes and there wasn't a single drop of water. I'm so relieved! My only beef is that I think the cost was higher than normal. Not exceptionally high, but it seemed a bit off the mark.

I did not hear back from BlueSky Roofing, Inc until maybe a couple of weeks later. The estimated costs for repairs was in my opinion extremely high. BlueSky supposably came to my home to inspect the roof while I was gone. I didn't receive any photo copies of the roof along with the estimate they provided. After extensive research and contacting other roofing companies, I decided to go with another roofing company that pretty reasonable and more reliable than Blue Sky Roofing, Inc.

My husband contacted Blue Sky Roofing and an estimator, Jay immediately came out. We received a proposal on 4-22 and by 4-26 the work was completed. They were quick, efficient, and arrived on time! And might I add, they were the only roofing company we contacted that would do a job of that nature.

Replaced the whole roof in one day (it's a big roof). The gutters took two days, copper is more complicated than aluminum. After the work was done, we had a couple of relatively minor complaints about the gutter work. These were promptly and professionally addressed.

I believe it was Jay that came out to my condo building. He was punctual. He went up to the roof and looked around and told me he would be getting back to me with an estimate within 5 days. I am still waiting for the estimate.

They worked very efficiently and communicated well on any potential delays or weather issues. I think they did a great job and would recommend them again. We got 3 bids and they were all close in price, but Blue Sky was the most professional and responsive.

One thing I always appreciate and value from a contractor is their level of responsiveness, and I can say without question that Chris was constantly engaged and responsive; not matter the question we had or the issue we needed resolved. Originally scheduled for two days, BlueSky ended up taking three days to perform the complete tear off. Overall, the roof looks great and has been functioning as designed/installed. The price was competitive prior to selecting some add-ons (ridge vent). Only a few things that we were a little disappointed with: - Cleanup: we picked up more than 125 nails and other pieces of debris throughout the front and back of the house. Debris throughout various parts of the back steps to the basement; had to pick shingles off the neighbors roof. - Billing: Chris did call on the first day to inform us that upon removing the old roof it was apparent that some new decking was required. We talked price for the back and said go ahead; I was expecting a follow-up call if more decking was required the following day for the front. We didn't learn about the new front decking until the invoice was sent - this increased the price almost $2,000. I truly believe this was miscommunication but I would think that before you tack on another $1,000 to the cost of the job that you check with the homeowner.

They’ve been very responsive and they gave us a good quote. I like the. I have the quote from last year but the reason they’re coming out is because they need to update it after the winter. The quote that they gave us before was fine but we didn’t do it then. Now that we need to do it, it’s going to be a different quote.

They were perfect. I had a couple of requests and they took care of that. They answered all my questions. They were cordial.
