.Nothing has happened so far. I've had no further contact from erin since 8/1/13. I wanted her help to de-clutter and my office/sewing room and de-clutter my den. One of my daughters has committed to taking off from work to help me get this done. At this point, I have already started doing the work myself and I'm looking to hire someone else to do what erin has not done. I would like to have my money refunded so it can be used to pay someone else.
Description of Work: Nothing as yet. Sent her an email 8/1/13 asking to schedule specific dates in September and her email response was that she did not schedule that far in advance -- ?6 weeks? is too far in advance? She also stated that she would contact me later. As of this date, I have not received any further contact from her. I checked my email before sending this review, and nothing! She also stated that my 9 hours would have to be broken up into a 6 hour session and a 3 hour session.

erin showed up on time and was a late afternoon appointment. she seemed rather tired and not enthused to do the job i hired her for which was to organize my new kitchen. for the most part, i could have done the work myself. i explained to her the way i wanted things place and was not listened to. wound up rearranging everything. at 50 dollars an hour i expected a lot more. my doctor doesnt even charge that much.

Prior to purchasing the "Big Deal", I called and spoke with Erin, as she had noted that the services had to be utilized at one time. I had hoped to purchase the full 9 hours and do my whole house, but part of the reason that I needed assistance was due to the fact that I suffer from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, I am in fact a fairly organized person and it wasn't like many areas were in truly bad shape, so someone with energy, should be able to get through it all without too much effort on my part. I explained this to Erin and she related (and I am paraphrasing) that if it was a matter of her doing the actual "work" while I just "directed" that was certainly do-able and also said that especially with a purchase of 9 hours, she would be willing to split it up into two session of 4.5 hours each. Even though that is still a bit beyond my limits, I figured if she was willing to be basically do the work, leaving me to simply direct, I could get through it. When we talked and scheduled, she also suggested some products that I might consider buying. One of her suggestions happened to be a product that I was already using in my upstairs bath, so was able to give it a trial run before I headed off to the container store and purchased a vast assortment, planning to see what worked best and return the rest. I actually hate to give less than an A to Erin, but I do feel compelled to for a few reasons. Although we did get though the majority of what I had hoped, we didn't touch the kitchen for instance (or if we did, it was minor, we certainly didn't fully reorganize my kitchen drawers, cabinets or fridge, we may have done the junk drawer, but actually, I think that I did that on my own afterwards) and I have to say that I do feel that we should have been able to. Additionally, we only devoted about 15 minutes to my bedroom closet and didn't do anything with my upstairs bath. Granted, these items were towards the bottom of my list, but I had assumed that we might make it through my list with the full 9 hours. When I opted not to take her suggestion for the use of the product mentioned above in my downstairs bath, I have to say that I feel a "air of disapproval" from her, which I didn't think was appropriate. The baskets that she recommended were of a size that only two would fit on a shelf and given that I had a lot of smaller items that I wanted to organize in this area, just breaking them apart into two sections didn't seem sufficient to me, instead, I opted for some stack-able boxes, a small drawer set and 3 open containers that were each broken down into 6 sections. While Erin noted that due to my fatigue issues that she would take on the majority of the work while I directed, that didn't turn out to be exactly the case, in my opinion. Instead, I found her taking an item out of the closet and handling it to me to decide what to do with it and for me to put in into the bag for the donate items, or box for storage, etc. As I planned to donate a good number of items and to claim them at tax time, I like to take note of exactly what I am donating, so that I can accurately assign it a value (using the Goodwill guides, etc.). So, I was being handed items to deal with, attempting to note what was being donated, while she stood there with the next item to hand to me to deal with. After a while, I asked if perhaps she could note what was being donated, she did so for a few items and then just stopped, so I gave up on that idea, and simply didn't end up with the list I had wanted for tax reasons. In many cases, again, although we had discussed my fatigue issues, I found myself (in my opinion) ending up doing more than she did. When we did my office, she did make labels for my files, but still was content to leave the organization to me. As she had previously suggested boxes for larger items, such as manual and tax refunds, I had purchased them and decided that although I had a file with all of my tax returns, they had been crammed in there and I thought that asking her to go through them as she moved them to the box and ensure that they were correctly organized was a good task for her. Later on, when I needed to refer to something in my tax returns, I discovered that although she had gotten rid of those older than needed and ensured that the labeled files were in numerical order, that the items in said files did not always coincide with the label. When they were crammed together, some files had ended up combined and Erin did not go through each file and insure that the tax return in 2009 was actually just the one from 2009. The years were still mixed up. By the later part of the second day, I was completely done in! Although it was a bit early, Erin decided that (as she said) "We had achieved my goals" (not exactly my assessment, but didn't have the energy left to argue) and she left early. All in all, I don't (outside of the taxes) think that she did a bad job, but I cannot say that she met my expectations, especially based on our conversation prior to my purchase. I feel that she led me to believe that she would in fact be much more hands on, leaving me to as she said "just direct" and in reality, I feel that I did as much work as she did, maybe even more (my sense of that could be warped by how exhausted I was), but I can say for certain that I was very much a hands on participant and given that the reason that I hired an organizer wasn't that I didn't know how to organize, but because I needed someone with the energy to get it done. So, in that area, much as I hate to say it, she did not meet my expectations, which were based on what she had said during our phone call. I know that for others, she handled the donations, but I had arranged for a charity pick-up service to come the following morning. So, I ended up lugging the dozen or so bags downstairs myself, later that day, after I recovered enough to force a bit more out of myself. She did though take 2 OLD laptops and one old tower that I had been meaning to deal with for years, off my hands at last. Perhaps she would be a better fit for a person with more energy, that was more in need in advice on how to organize. Although I did get some tips, I do actually have my own label maker & some organizational skills, so really just needed someone to get it physically done for me. It may have been more of a mismatch (outside of those darn tax returns, lol) than any negatives in her abilty to organize, make recommendations, suggest products to help keep things in order, etc. I was just under the impression based on my explanation of my condition and her reassurances, that I would NOT have to be as hands on as I was. Perhaps in someways, as I have been known to "push through" and hide my disability as much as possible, that I brought it on myself...but when I stated that I was done in for towards the end of the second day and she took that as a clue to make an somewhat early exit, as opposed to saying, "OK, why don't you rest and I will just reorganize a kitchen cabinet, while you watch and provide feedback, during these final 20 minutes or so.
Description of Work: Erin offered a "Big Deal" for 3 hours of organization, with the option to purchase up to 9 hours total. Based on her description and perhaps some information I picked up from reviews, she would assist with organizing cabinets, such as kitchen, bathroom, medicine, as well as helping to organize and set up a system for managing paperwork, go through closets, and with your input determine what should be kept (and perhaps better organized), what might be stored for future (or off season) use, what might be donated or simply thrown away. It was also noted that she would help with taking donations and dropping them off for you, as well as doing the same with old computers, taking them somewhere that they would safely be wiped clean of your data and recycled.

She didn't have a mastery of how to declutter and had to involved me in the process to the point where I felt like I was doing it myself. I have a point of reference because a month ago I used a company and she was awesome. With the new company, things went exactly how I expected them to.

Erin was right on time and dug right in. We emptied a 4 drawer filing cabinet that was jam packed. She helped me purge the stuff I could and helped me organize the stuff I needed to keep. I am going to continue using the tips she gave me. We had a little time left over so she ever walked around my house and gave me some organizational tips on other areas.

Eric arrived on time, and brought a lot of ideas with her. The first things she did was help me make some practical decisions on where to store seasonal items. Se also gave me a couple of ideas to clear space in my hall closet, which has worked out very nicely. Then she helped me organize a combination bedroom/office/laundry room:She dived right into organizing the things that make me crazy: loose papers, office supplies various odds and ends. We sorted out stuff to keep, stuff to toss and stuff to donate. Of all the stuff I got rid of, I don't miss any of it! I'm very happy wit Erin's expertise -- I also took a lot of notes and they have been very helpful guidelines to work with. I'd definitely hire her again!

I wanted to have my garage organized so I waited until it got warmer in early June. We worked through a few appointments since she didn’t have appointments on the weekends and she wanted a Monday. We compromised on July 18th. I received a call on June 27th stating that she was unable to do the work due to the heat. She asked if I wanted another part of my home organized but I only wanted my garage. She said she would call me when the weather was around 50 degrees. I wanted it completed before then. She was professional throughout our conversations but I need the work completed sooner than the fall.

Overall the service they provide me went very well. The woman that came helped me do a lot of sorting on lot of stuffs in my basement. It worked out pretty well. We put the stuffs in a really big bins so it's still a little hard to find things but at least everything is not everywhere. They're contained in containers so that when we're ready to take it to the next level we have everything organized and we can put them up in a neatly display for my husbands workspace and stuff like that. It was a good first step.

Erin was prompt and professional. She seems to have a lot of experience with organization. She helped me establish labeled shelving areas for all my kids toys, as well as my crafting area, in our basement. Overall it went well and I think I would call on Erin again for another project. The only downside was that she depended on me to have all the bins/storage containers required for the organization. Fortunately, I was able to find some extras in my basement, but not everyone might have extras on hand. I think if I were Erin, I would keep a small supply of assorted bins in my vehicle and provide them to customers for a small fee.

Erin was awesome! She was right on time and we got started immediately. She helped me sort through a bunch of boxes from our move to this new house. We organized all the holiday decorations into labeled bins and put the bins in order into a shelving system we have. We also went through a bunch of boxes of records from school and past work projects. I was amazed at how much we got done in under 8 hours. Erin responded to my e-mail and scheduled an appointment with me immediately. She arrived on time. I was disappointed because it seemed like for 3 hours she would hand me a piece of paper and I would put it somewhere else. I couldn't keep up with her and got frustrated. Erin was terrific! I purchased two Angie's deals for 6 hours of time for $111 each ($222 total). I am moving in 2 1/2 weeks and wanted some packing/purging help and motivation. We worked the whole six hours solid with no breaks and packed up quite a bit! I'm overwhelmed by clutter and frustrated with packing and organizing and she kept me calm and steady and we pushed through. She even took a car load of donations to Salvation Army and is mailing me the receipt later. She also followed up this morning with an interior designer reco and a moving day game plan/checklist! (I don't do lists!) This will keep me moving and on target. I think she's very skilled, calm and knows her stuff. We didn't "organize" per se but it was so worth the $ and time to get me moving in the right direction - literally! I highly recommend her services and I'm sure I'll be seeing Erin again soon. Erin came in to the kitchen; opened all the cabinets to see what was where. She also asked me what I thought the problem areas were. She didn't insist on anything; we discussed everything and I made the changes. We moved some things around and kept some things in the same places. I ended up with a box of stuff for donation. She had good ideas and made good suggestions. I really appreciated her suggestions for how to handle paperwork. I intend to hire her again to help with some other areas of disorganization. So far, the changes made in my kitchen have been helpful. She herself is very pleasant, professional and incredibly knowledgeable about organization. I'm very pleased with the experience.

Erin helped me make some changes in where things were. I was sure it would take more than 3 hours to organize the kitchen but we made it through in less than 1-1/2 hours. Erin arrived exactly on time and we got to work clearing out the paper, old software boxes, electronics, and just general junk from the office. We worked at it continually for three hours and Erin was a saint! She was willing to dig in with me or just sit next to me while I made decisions about what should stay and what should go. I ended up throwing away more than four large garbage bags full of unnecessary paper and junk. Erin even took my old broken electronics to the recycle center for me when she left. She was extremely helpful, very patient, and really great company! I can't wait to have her back to help me with my basement!

I purchased "Big Deal" coupon for Erin's services, 3 hours for $99. I emailed Erin to ask if she was available over the weekends as both my husband and I work. She emailed me promptly and said that the coupon was for weekday services only, but she had just had a cancellation for the upcoming Sunday and she would be willing to come over. She came over promptly at 9:00 am that Sunday and immediately got to work on our box filled basement. My goal for the morning was limited to emptying all boxes and for the items that we were keeping, moving them into plastic bins so I could see what we had. Erin kept the process going, even though I had two little ones who wanted to "help." She was friendly but professional and we made a great start on a big project. I asked if she could stay for an extra hour to make a little more progress and she was agreeable. I would definitely use her services again.
