The two women who showed up were decidedly young and inexperienced, and they didn't do as good of a job as we would have liked. Furthermore, we were under the impression that one person would have done the cleaning for 4 hours, but instead the company sent two people who only worked for two hours.

It was a wonderful experience. The girl who came did a thorough job and cleaned every nook and cranny of the house. Furthermore, she arrived on time, was friendly and professional, and brought her own supplies.

It went fine, I guess I would have to say that I got what I paid for and maybe a "bit" more. They did a decent, but not exceptional, job of cleaning my place. I had actually interviewed the company the year prior as I was looking for someone to use on a regular basis. I opted to go with someone else, but when I saw this offer from them, I thought that it was a good opportunity to check out the quality of their work and see if I made the right choice, or if perhaps I should switch to them. I think that perhaps some companies miss a opportunity with the "Big Deals", although it is a way to increase your volume short term, I would think that the primary motivation would be in winning on new on-going customers. For me, it would be a time to put my best foot forward, to truly shine and impress this customer. Instead, it seems like some (and perhaps it is more an issues of the employees than what management is hoping to gain) tackle the project bearing in mind that it is being offered at a discounted rate, therefore, expectations shouldn't be that high...for, in reality, we are getting a "good deal"...but is THAT really the point from the company's perspective? I see my experience with their "Big Deal" as a missed opportunity for the company! So, it was adequate, I felt that I got "my money's worth", but they certainly didn't out perform the company that I had selected the previous year over them. I have now been a devoted bi-weekly customer of that other company for several years. This was a chance for them to prove me wrong, to show me that I had made the wrong choice and converted me into a regular long term customer...but that did not happen.

They did what they were supposed to and I had no complaints.

We didn't even finished using the deal that we bought from them because they were so terrible. Two major dislikes, one they were just haphazard in what they chose to clean or not and they came within an hour, they would just stay 15 minutes and then they walk out and leave no matter how far they were and they just haphazardly clean things, the place was as bad if not worst when I got there, they used water for cleaners instead of actual cleaners. And then the second thing was when they got there, even though we got a deal for an amount of time, they started telling us that they have to charge extra for windows and extra for this and extra for that if they clean certain items.

They were great. They did a great job and everything was just great.

The girls were professional however they did not mop the floor fully and were later than when they said that they would arrive. They took longer than anticipated too.

This service was already cleaning my husband's office and my home. I called to set up a cleaning for my office and arranged for them to come at 7:30am on a Saturday. They were told that we did not have hours on Saturday and that a key would be left for them and they were given my cell phone number to call if anything went wrong. At 8:40am (one hour and ten minutes after scheduled time) I received an email from the owner stating the crew had been at my office since 7:30 waiting for someone and to call her cell number. The number she typed in had too many numbers and I could not call her. In her email she also stated that we would be charged for the visit even if they did not clean the office. I emailed her back to call my cell phone, but she did not. I called her office, but no one was there. I was finally able wake up my husband and get her cell phone number. Once I finally reached her the conversation did not go well. She was very defensive and continued to blame us. Instead of trying to find a solution, she continued to argue with me that they take excellent notes and that the issue had to be on our end. And with all due respect to me and my husband, she knew that her staff was right. I told her at least three times that since I was her customer that provided her with three different jobs, perhaps she should try to be nicer and make the situation better. She continued to complain that she was very stressed and had been home with sick kids. I finally told her that I didn't care what her personal issues were and that everyone has their own personal problems. Before I could say anymore, she hung up on me. When I arrived to my office on Monday it was actually cleaned. They did a very good job, but the Saturday morning hassle and stress was not worth it. Even though we gave a credit card up front for payment, American Maids continues to email me invoices billed to me personally for their work. Their prices are exorbitant and way out of line as well. For the first cleaning of a 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home that had been cleaned bi-weekly by another service they charged us $348.00.

The company was very professional in their telephone communications. They dropped off the cleaning crew within the estimated time window. The two women brought all of their own equipment and supplies. They were pleasant and polite. They worked steadily and did a thorough job within the time allotted. I was pleased and said so. The only glitch came at the end when I was given two forms to sign to "show we did the work." I signed one but not the other, which seemed too much like a contact. I don't think these forms are suitable for this time of situation (i.e., an Angie's List pre-paid coupon). I don't think the cleaning crew was responsible for or understood the forms.

I had a very strange situation with the people. They brought in girls that did not speak English. They had used stuff that I am highly allergic to. I called the woman in charge, to ask her what she used, and she got extremely defensive and was really rude. They were abrupt and pushy, and unaccommodating as far as my allergy issues. We ended up having to rewash everything. They said it was all organic solvents. I would not use them again.

Two ladies came and stated at the agreed upon time. Spent the next two hours doing general housecleaning. they did a wonderful job

While our regular cleaning person was out of town, we used this company due to the 5% discount coupon and reviews on Angie's List. They did an okay job.

My wife was home and said the cleaners did a good job. When I got home I looked around and everything looked very clean. We plan to use them again and specify some items that may have gotten overlooked like the kitchen counter around the sink and faucet. Very minor issues.

They were great and we appreciated the Big Deal!

Two people cleaned as a team.

Prompt arrival of two man crew. Bathrooms tackled first (3) All floors swept and mopped with appropriate cleaner Carpets on two floors vacuumed All surfaces including window sills dusted Trash removed.

Very good cleaning by the assigned person. I was very satisfied.

I used American Maids a long time ago (in 2011), but have been asked to submit a review, so here goes. I hired American Maids to clean my house on a weekend, which was a little unusual for me, but I had guests coming. So I got to watch the cleaning person clean (something I usually don't see). I thought she worked very hard and did a good, honest job on my house. I have two dogs and a cat and very messy children, so it wasn't easy job. I don't remember exactly how much I paid so I am estimating here.

The maids arrived on time. They did a through job. I helped move the furniture so that they could clean behind it. I do have dogs and they didn't mind. Excellent Job!

I think they could have done more in the hour and a half each one provided. Overall B-

We have been using American Maids bi-weekly for almost a year now. We don't always have the same team but everyone has been very professional - prompt, courteous, and thorough. When there have been issues of scheduling or areas missed, they have been easily remedied. We particularly appreciate the two-person team as it allows the cleaning to go more quickly, a bonus when we're working around the nap times for a baby and toddler.

It went very well. They arrived on time and stayed about 4 hours.

I am a very neat person. My house never really looks messy or dirty, but I see the dust. These ladies gave me the white glove treatment. They wiped the windowsills, and every surface in the house. Wonderful service that saved me at least 8 hours of my own time.

No issues with the service. Will use them again
