The following complaints are things that American Maids state on their website that will be done for deep cleaning. The reason someone hires for deep cleaning is that they don't have the time to do it themselves. Fans were not washed Window sills and blinds were not washed, they had to come back to do the blinds and the blinds in the bathroom were left up, did not pull down to clean all the blinds. Did not vacuum sofa and chair, did not dust under couch or ottoman. Shelves on living room wall not dusted, dining room chairs were not dusted or windowsills. Baseboards in the kitchen were not washed, cabinets in the kitchen were not completely washed. The kitchen floor was not washed entirely. They say on their website everything removed for cleaning under, however, they complained that they had to remove a few plates to wash the top of the refrigerator. They also think that was doing extra. Woodwork and doors were not cleaned This is directly from their website - Everything in dusting section-hand cleaned with a damp cloth or scrubbed where needed Nothing was scrubbed where needed. I asked that the bedrooms not be cleaned, so the woman had more than enough time to clean my house as I paid for. I called immediately on Friday, March 22, 2019, when I got home from work at 6:20 PM, left a message on their answering machine. Did not hear back from them until Monday at 10:30 AM, was told they needed to talk to their manager. The manager never returned my phone call on Monday. Seems they don't take a customer seriously. They called Tuesday morning, and i called back within 20 minutes, Cynthia was not there to talk to me. I had to wait another 24 hours and then I called them. I told them I would not pay them, that they didn't take my complaints seriously and they charged my credit card regardless. They didn't even offer to take some money off of the price. There are more things that I can list, but I can't continue. I will have to chalk this up to experience. I feel they stole my money. They are a lousy cleaning company! I will never use them or recommend them.

We received different cleaners almost each time - not a good system for a continous cleaning service. More experienced cleaners were generally good - had usually one at each session. The other two cleaners per session were almost always new and appeared to have no training. The experienced person had no time to supervise the others, as she was cleaning herself, and was working within the enforced very strict time limits. New people did not know which products were effective for what materials - many times used incorrect products, which are known to possibly damage surfaces over time. Some of the cleaners were not thorough - missed some normal cleaning tasks. They broke things on 4 different occasions and tried to hide them. When we asked about them, they denied it; yet for 2 of the items, we saw the breaks occur. For the office staff, initially, the contact person was reasonable and professional, with good people skills. After he left their office, it became frustrating to deal with them. The next contact person lacked professionalism and exhibited poor customer service skills.

I expected an automatic scheduling call after signing up for a cleaning deal and writing that I needed the work done quickly but after waiting a week, I called them instead. I was told that they don’t receive the information from Angie’s list which seemed odd to me. Scheduling was quick, communication good and the staff even arrived a bit early, 3 people for my 1 bedroom apartment cleaning. I checked on them a few times while working in my office during the cleaning. After 1 hour there was a knock at the door and I expected a question but was told they were finished. Since I was on a call, I could not survey the work but tipped them and they left. Once I was able to inspect, I realized what a poor job was performed- and I took photos. The apartment was relatively clean except for the kitchen wall behind the trash. The bathroom was completely scrubbed but the soap dish was dirty, the window sill in the kitchen wasn’t touch, the top of the refrigerator was never cleaned (and needed it badly) and some black dirty material on the tile wall behind the garbage can, very visible and left there by me intentionally, was never removed. My one voiced request was that they do a thorough and complete cleaning of the floors. Apparently it was swiffered only. Cleaning isn’t really all that complicated and quite easy for anyone to judge. This was a very poorly done, rushed job. As much as everyone was friendly, I would have preferred someone not so nice who was an exacting and meticulous cleaner perfectionist. I had hoped for this to be an ongoing service but won’t be using this company again.

The customer service is responsive and prompt. There has been some turnover and as such sometimes some of my cleaning preferences have had to be repeated and passed on, but I have been very pleased with the quality of work performed. I don’t have a standing appointment as my apt unit needs servicing sporadically but the scheduling is always easy and sometimes last minute if they can accommodate. Sometimes the cleaning crew doesn’t always speak English but communicating my needs has never been an issue.

The team from American Maids came on time, did a great job, and was very courteous. What else can you ask for? Any time I need a maid service in the future, I will be contacting them.

It was an email estimate. I submitted ht estimate last Sunday, late evening and they got mad at me pretty much within 24 hours, it was pretty much the following day. It actually showed what the estimate covered. It is good, they are able to clean within a certain time limit. It was all email at this point. They gave me an estimate for the first time cleaning and then recurrent cleaning every week.

Excellent - went from biweekly to weekly cleaning. The team is very prompt, quick, and thorough.

I love them. If I am home when they are cleaning, they are extremely respectful. The use of clean products is huge to me - I'm glad I don't have to deal with harmful chemicals. Scheduling is very easy - they send email reminders a few days before the appointment and then the day before, a voicemail with a more refined window of time they'll arrive. I like their add-on services too - have had them clean my windows, baseboards, fridge and freezer, etc. They've given me so much peace of mind over the past several years. They are very kind and helpful, professional, and very good at what they do. I highly recommend them.

I have been using American maids for years. I had done a lot of research and they are very affordable for the city. I am always very pleased with their work. I have referred them to friends and family and now 4 of them use the company also. I highly recommend them for house cleaning! (Two level house)

American Maids is outstanding! There's really no better feeling than coming home to a clean house. The ladies were accommodating to our requests and executed wonderfully. Setting up a reoccurring service - so pleased with their job!

They did a fantastic job, everything was spotless. Everything that was taken off of shelves were put back properly, nothing was broken. My house had never been that clean before. Would absolutely hire again.

3 people come each time but more is not better. the first time, they did not clean the TOP of my stove. Cleaned all around it, but not my stove top. The next time they came, they placed garbage by the back door until they are ready to leave. They take the garbage out with them on the way out but leave a leaky mess from the garbage on the kitchen floor and that is how i found the floor when i got home. I get monthly service and they have been here 3x and i am not impressed. It is time to move on to another company. or.

They did a great job - I've never seen my place so clean!

it went very well. The crew came in and did their job. Very professional but friendly. We were pleased.

The male's vacuum cleaner put down more dirt onto my carpets than it picked up. We had to vacuum the carpets after they left. The female missed many places and had to be told to do them again: kitchen countertops, sections of kitchen floor. When it came time to wash the wood floors they tried to wash the floors without taking up the area rugs. This technique is guaranteed to make water marks on the oriental rugs. I had to stop them and tell them how to do it correctly. Overall, very sloppy work. We had to clean up after the cleaners! I told the customer service person and I wrote two emails but no one has ever called to talk to me about this job. Very disappointing as the first time I used their service I had an excellent experience. I will never use American Maids again. Their service is unreliable and customer service is unresponsive.

There was no consistency with the service as I had originally requested. The ladies kept changing times or days which was very inconvenient.

Amazing! They were running a little late but called and stayed a bit longer to finish the job. House looked amazing and we were very satisfied!!

We have them come once a month and although we do not get the same team each time they have all done a very good job. Always allow me to look over the place before they leave. I have sometimes had them go over a few little things but the majority of time things are perfect. The teams are friendly and every time one of the maids speaks english well enough to communicate easily. They work efficiently and quickly but not sloppily. They give you a window of time that they will be there. A few times they have been early. It has not been a problem for me because I was home. American Maids has done a great job for us and we continue to use them every month with no complaints.

American Maids has cleaned our home five times. Different crews have come in however all crews have been equally good except for one. The 4 crews that did a excellent job did the following: Cleaned all rooms mentioned above and also dusted the blinds, fans, doorways, kitchen doors, pictures, mirrors. Cleaned the microwave and cleaned the tile in the bathroom. Vacuumed the couch including taking out the cushions and vacuuming there. They will also change the linens if you put out clean ones on the bed. The crew that was not up to par did not dust blinds, fans, doors, pictures, mirrors, electrics and did not clean the microwave.

American Maids are A M A Z I N G. Walking into my freshly cleaned home yesterday was just what I needed after a stressful week. Everything was perfect. I can always 100% count on the quality and care of their service, absolutely no detail was over looked. I love that I have found a cleaning service where I know that when I don't have the time I wish I did I can without a doubt trust that their service will be a job better than I could do myself. I appreciate their services so much!!!!

I have used American Maids a little over a year now since my previous cleaner retired. I am very satisfied with this service.. They gave me a regular bi-weekly spot, and are very prompt about keeping it. They send 3 people to clean, and usually two are the same, which keeps the consistency, while the 3rd may change. They do a very thorough job usually in about an hour and a half, and if I need to change anything they are very responsive and accurate. I only gave 4 stars for price because they just raised their price from $110.00 but they are still very much worth it.

I am so pleased with American Maids! They were recommended from a friend and I'm so glad to have found them. I came home and my house was spotless - it is so nice to come home to a clean house especially when you have no time to clean! The shower upstairs is such a pain to clean but somehow they made it look good as new. The entire place smelled fresh and I cannot wait to schedule my next cleaning. Highly recommend!
