The team was on time, friendly & did a great job.

Everything went great. I used the online scheduling and was quickly contacted to make arrangements. Communications were very smooth. A group of 3 ladies arrived as promised to perform the cleaning. They did a wonderful job! My place was cleaner than it had been in a long time. They cleaned even more than I had anticipated. They were all very polite and businesslike, and I would not hesitate to use them again.

Great value for the cost -- two women cleaned my place for 2.5 hours. The place is spick and span, they were right on time, I have no complaints. They went above and beyond in making everything look not just clean but attractive in the way they arranged my things. I would definitely use them again. It made me wish I could afford them to come more often! My only minor issue is that they didn't respond to my Angie's List message and I had to call them to make the appointment. But they were very responsive to all phone calls and e-mails.

I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of work and service provided by American Maids. The appointment window was from 2:30-3, they promptly arrived at 2:30. Three maids arrived for a premium cleaning and I have never seen my place so clean before. They cleaned all the bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms, and even organized a closet full of shoes and cleaned the floor/straightened up the utility room-things never done in the past by previous maid services. I will definitely be scheduling a future appointment with American Maids and recommending them to all my friends and neighbors!

I don't really remember how it went because I was working and going to school full-time in the months leading up to a divorce from my ex-wife. I would recommend this company to anyone, either before or after a divorce... of if you are happily married too. Or if you're too busy with work or school. ... actually, anyone who needs a break from cleaning the house. American Maids will hook you up with a good, solid, "green" house cleaning that won't give you cancer.

It went well. It's all they did it for. They were pretty thorough. There were three people and they did good work. They were pretty responsive. They came at the time they said.

It went perfectly. They came on a Saturday afternoon. They knew that I wanted the house cleaned before Christmas. 3 ladies came for 3 hours.

I was surprised at how thoroughly they were able to clean--even the bathroom that is never used and was pretty gross. I appreciate their hard work.

We were moving into a large 3 floor single family home and needed it professionally cleaned. I knew it was a big job and while the owners didn't leave it in filthy condition, it was only swept out and dry wiped -- the house needed a thorough cleaning by a team of people. With 6 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, Ilona estimated that I needed 3 girls for 5-6 hours -- $550. Sounded like a lot of money but I felt it was totally worth it to have the home cleaned in a thorough and systematic manner before moving in. When they arrived, I showed them around and told them we didn't need to clean the floors since we were going to get some painting done but I wanted everything else wiped and cleaned -- cabinets inside and out, window sills, of course the bathrooms and kitchen (including a kitchenette in the basement). The girls were very nice and I felt that two of them seemed to work hard but I was surprised at how dirty the house was 6 hours later. I don't doubt that they worked for 5-6 hours but it's unclear what they did. Bathroom fixtures (like the shower hoses) were dusty, there was grease all over parts of the range, a sticky ring on a second shelf in the kitchen cabinet that would have come off with a damp rag, dust on other shelves and dust and crumbs in most of the kitchen drawers, dirty edges and outsides of cabinet doors, dirty light fixture plates. There was corn and coffee grinds on a top shelf in the freezer. The place was cleaned in a really haphazard manner and I didn't really inspect the place and tipped them $30 each before they left so I paid $590 total for the cleaning (with cash discount). They were very apologetic about the problems when I asked them to return (the logistics of the return visit was a headache). Overall, it was a pretty disappointing and mediocre experience and my husband, myself, and my nanny spent around 2 hours re-wiping and cleaning the areas. The team wasn't familiar with cleaning protocols of high-end finishes and neither was I -- I've never had to deal with a 48" Wolf range or Toto toilet bowls which apparently can't take abrasives like Soft scrub -- I take responsibility for not knowing about this and so be prepared with detailed instructions on how to clean non-standard items. One of the ovens had all this burnt stuff on the bottom and one of the lead girls (who seemed to be the most thorough) asked what I wanted to use on it -- I appreciate that she asked and it gave me a chance to research how to clean a Wolf oven. I'm not an unreasonable person so when I read that Wolf expects you to take a razor blade to scrape any burnt junk off their precious blue ceramic interior, I didn't ask them to do this because that's fn crazy. I drove to a drug store, bought a razor blade and spent 50 minutes on my knees scraping it out myself. Anyway, if you want systematic cleaning, I don't think this is the service as the women weren't following a check-list methodology in any way. They were just cleaning whatever they happened to be focused on in a pretty haphazard manner. To pay almost $600 for a housecleaning (and didn't include mopping any floors) that left us with dusty, crumb lined drawers and cabinets, sticky shelves, greasy ranges and fan hood, etc. was unacceptable to us. Even after they came back the second time, we still ended up cleaning afterwards.

Ilona was very easy to work with over the phone. We scheduled three cleaners to come to my house, which is about 1300 sq ft. I did not have them clean every room in the house, just the two bathrooms, kitchen, dining, and living rooms. It took quite a bit longer than any of us anticipated. We've lived in our house for 9 years and never had it professionally cleaned before (plus we have four young children, a dog, and two cats) so I guess I didn't realize how much really needed to be done. Ilona was in contact with me all day while the ladies were working and was considerate of our budget as the hours were getting longer. The overall experience was excellent. I want to separately address the actual work that was done because it was OUTSTANDING! When they said 'deep cleaning' they were not kidding. The doors and door frames were scrubbed, along with the walls (which was one of my main concerns because it was visibly dirty from grubby kid-hands). Each room was clean from top to bottom! In the first few days after they were there I kept being surprised by little things that were clean that I hadn't expected them to touch - for example, our toaster and the turnstile that holds our kitchen utensils on the counter top. I was VERY happy with the work that was done and felt like we definitely got what we paid for! I have already recommended Ilona's team at American Maids to a family member and will continue to recommend them to anyone who is looking for maid service! Now I think it's time for me to get in touch with Ilona to set up ongoing service so we don't let it get in that bad of shape again! :)

Ilona's crew of cleaners are miracle workers! I left a horribly messy condo in no shape for listing for sale, and came back to a spotless place ready for its closeup. Before: I had to step over things on the floor. After: I can eat off the floor. I can't recommend this crew enough. I can't comment on punctuality because they came in when I was at work. I dropped off the keys the day before. I was able to hand off the keys in person, but there's a mail drop if you need to do it after hours. Responsiveness: Stellar. The front office called to update me when the job took longer than the original estimate (that was because of my mess, not their skills), so no surprises. I'll be using them again.

After reading many reviews on Angie's List, I called American Maids to set up an appointment. Ilona gave me an estimate over the phone which turned out to be very accurate. She explained that our initial cleaning would be more expensive, but that the price of cleanings decreases as the frequency increases. We had recently moved into our home, had flooring replaced and painted. The house was not clean when we first moved in, and it only became dirtier as we continued to knock projects off our to-do list. American Maids completely transformed our dirty house into a sparkling show home, and we couldn't be more grateful! Tatiana and Silvia showed up a few minutes before their 7:30 estimated arrival time and worked for four and a half hours scrubbing every bathroom, cleaning the floors to a shine, and restoring order to the house and sanity to its occupants. They were professional perfectionists who were able to work around the piles of belongings we have yet to fully unpack. American Maids was not the least expensive service we have used, but the quality of work the cleaners did and the responsiveness of the owner have more than justified the additional expenditure in my mind. We will look forward to having American Maids come back in the future!

We have found that they do a very good job and are both communicative and flexible. We plan to continue to use them and have recommended them to friends and neighbors.

They do a good job yet not as thorough as I am. They don't dust the ceiling fans and they don't fully clean the tub grout or tub mat which I always do. They also don't clean the inside of the microwave which we generally like done. They are punctual and do a generally good job. We will continue to use them after we tried 5 or so other companies that were worse.

I called her; she said she was fully booked and would call me back if there were any openings. I didn't hear back from her and found someone else for less money.

The team does a great job of cleaning. On the few occasions where I have been unsatisfied or needed something re-done, Ilona and/or one of her colleagues has been very responsive and fixed the problem right away. For example, I hired the crew to deep-clean my downstairs unit when the former tenants moved out. The crew mistakenly (perhaps from habit) deep-cleaned MY upstairs unit, and I almost felt bad letting them know they had cleaned the wrong unit. However, Ilona didn't blink and said the correct downstairs unit would be deep-cleaned the next day at no extra charge.

While there were a few things they missed that they said they would do (wash down the walls for example, and my kitchen walls needed it!) they went above and beyond on some other areas (the inside of my fridge and oven now look brand new, and our sun porch was sparkling). So overall I was very pleased. I've hired them before and will hire again.

They responded quickly to my request for an appointment and worked with my schedule. The two women that cleaned were thorough and fast. My condo is not large so I asked that they clean the windows (I have 9 large windows) and they were happy to accommodate the request. I have used them again.

I didn't like it was a move out for me and I was charged $250 by my apartment. However I didn't pay for move out. The only reason I'm reviewing the service is because the Angie's list website refuses to let go and wants me to review it every time I logon.

I really like their service. They are punctual and thorough, and for me that is really important. Their hours are really good as well. One day they were able to clean my entire house in an hour before I left for work. The language barrier is the only thing that takes a little time.

The woman who owns the organization was prompt and responsive to my request to schedule a cleaning. She came by the house to size up the space and to talk about what I needed and wanted to happen. We had a pretty thorough conversation. She was helpful in that she scheduled someone to come pretty quickly and right near a holiday. The great service stopped there. The exchange I had with the owner did not translate to the actual cleaning. One of the things I was very specific about, for example, is that I needed someone to thoroughly dust my living room and dining room, as I had an event coming and had neglected the dusting for months. I underscored that other aspects of the house were not as in need of attention as this, and that I'd prefer the cleaning person spend their time there. But the cleaning person did not actually move anything to dust it--the vase on the table did not get moved, the stack of books on the side table did not get moved, etc. Nothing. Everything in the house received a superficial treatment that frankly I could have done in an hour. It's worth mentioning that the rooms do not have a lot of brick-a-brack in them. I keep a pretty organized house. I tried to communicate this--I seem to recall they had a check list in their hands--but to no effect. I felt the whole thing was a waste of my time and money.

This is not the first time I've used their service. They always confirm, they're always punctual, their cleaners are extremely efficient and they do a wonderful job. First class service all the way....

They do a fine job. I didn't manage to schedule the second cleaning that was part of the Big Deal.

I think they are a bit expensive ($98 for a 2 bedroom apartment). But they do a very nice and thorough job and work around a small dog. The owner Ilona is very responsive. I have to reschedule often because of travel and she is always very accommodating. They send helpful reminders. They have good specials (help us train new help for 1/2 price, etc.) I have used them for 3 years now and will continue to use them. They once did a thorough deep clean because I had been away for a long time and that was a super job.

Everything went well, and they did an outstanding job with the cleaning.
